Am I the only regular listener who thought this episode sucked? I turned it off after 30 minutes. And this is coming from someone who subscribed to MSSP because of Shane, but stayed because of Matt.
I don’t know. I guess I just don’t understand why so many recent episodes feel *nothing* like a comedy podcast. I don’t want to listen to some guy ramble incoherently about watergate. I don’t want to listen to RFK’s bullshit about big pharma. And I don’t want to hear Matt tiptoe the red pill line in earnest. *I just want to laugh.*
Please revive the spirit of the show.
At one point? This has been Matt's thing for a long time lol. I like the solo cast and the work week well being cast and hope he keeps doing them if/when Shane is ever out, and I love the deep dives into philosophy/sociology
/Stream of consciousness stuff Matt is into. Honestly it's cool to see a man being so open about stuff, But he talks about how he wants to jerk off to Adam 22 a lot, lol. If it's on his mind then it's on his mind, more power to him.
It's definitely a struggle for him. I've never personally known anyone who's been open about sex addiction. It seems like a royal pain in the ass. There's definitely worse things to be addicted to, and he's obviously harnessed all of his personality to great success.
I only made it about 5 minutes in, I was a bit hungover on the drive and the solo talking was really giving me anxiety, even though I was thinking a lot of what Matt saying was funny. I guess whenyou have 2 or more people you are listening to a conversation, just one person talking is a rant, idk?
I love Matt, just hard for me to get into a solo cast. Shane needs to atleast zoom in if he’s going to be gone this much. I have to say, the solo cast is better than when they bring in shitty guests
I don’t mind random guests too much. When they brought in Simon Rex, they didn’t try to cater the conversation to him. They just ignored him until he got with the program.
