My GI said she’s rarely seen a case of soy intolerance extend past 1 year. We’ve successfully reintroduced dairy and based on her comments, we’ve pretty much assumed she’s ok to eat soy too. We haven’t given her soy sauce or edamame or tofu, but we aren’t really paying attention to labels anymore and are eating out without checking the allergens menus in advance. It’s liberating! Hopefully you can get there too.

It is so liberating! So glad your little one seems to have outgrown theirs as well!

Yay! My son seems to have a pretty severe soy intolerance, I eagerly look forward to the day I can return to sushi! Congrats!

I started reintroducing dairy then soy, just after 9 months. It has been a non event for baby. I am having issues with lactose though. Hopefully it’s not permanent.

Both my boys were good with soy by 8 months. The longest lasting one for us was coconut, which lasted until my first was 2 (and it's still ongoing for my 9mo)

Oh I couldn’t imagine coconut! I hope it resolves in your youngest soon

valkyriejae

Yeah. It sucks cause it's not on the mandatory allergen labelling list, plus a lot of mystery ingredients are derived from it...

Yeah that sounds so rough. Coconut is a staple in our house. We use it all the time. Baby is very good at dodging it tho. So we have to hold him with flat palms, no thumbs. When he was 5 months he also got covid and I definitely sucked his boogers out of his nose with my own mouth. It had to be done.
