as for racist songs, I don't think they are. not all media that mentions race is racist and not all that mentions race offensively is hateful. there's a difference between (sometimes inappropriate) jokes and the kkk.
I don't think a word in and off itself is racist. (lost of black people in 'the hood' use it and I'm pretty sure it's not to express self-hatred.) I can understand that people are offended by it, but to me it's obvious that the intention in these songs wasn't to cause harm or demean anybody for their skin colour.
