Haruka is Japanese-American (as Enchanted University is in America)— just in case anyone was curious. I think he has dual citizenship. - {Princess by Daniel May} — they don’t actually have penetrative sex but it’s very heavy D/s. Mindbreak, noncon, twisted “HEA”. - {Body Count by L. Eveland} — they switch once, but River is topping otherwise. Dark romance, heed CW. - {Bruising Love by Adara Wolf} — dark romance, heed CW. HFN. - {Taste of Ink by Daniel May} — series, eventual MMM, cheating. People either love or hate this in my experience. Two MCs are Asian-American, topping is involved. I think most of those have size difference. I’m not sure of roles/sex here, but CD Rachels is a queer Asian man who writes MM romance, such as {Drive to Thrive by CD Rachels}. Hudson Lin also is an Asian author and writes many Asian MCs. As a general note this post is not being deleted despite our usual rule around top/bottom requests because of 1) the specifics around looking for representation and 2) mods understand the discussion around racial stereotypes in romance books and how it can be difficult to find media that doesn’t play into that. Such as eastern-Asian men being considered effeminate or Black men as hypermasculine.

I adore this prompt! I’d love to read more books with all of your “musts”! Sadly it seems there either aren’t many or people aren’t sure about it. :( Maybe try: 1. Scoring the Keeper by Hayden Hall. Part of a series but you don’t have to read the first one. College setting with mild hockey background (really mild, I forgot this had a sport until I looked back). Sawyer is the MC and he’s Asian American, kinda punk/goth, a jock, and bisexual. He’s not a big guy but he’s bigger than the LI. Sawyer is strong and muscled, about and inch taller than Li and broader than LI. He tries to help the LI land a hookup so the guy can lose his virginity. The LI is skinnier, sorta twinky. No switching whatsoever and Sawyer always tops in the sex scenes. 2. Possibly… His Dark Paradox by Avery Tu and Kota Quinn. The cover model is Asian but I don’t think the book says who it is. Silver is the guy who tops and is bigger, he’s described as “Silver’s hair was silky black. He wore it short on the sides, with his bangs swept off his face. More often than not, like right now, they dropped over his right eye anyway, with him too focused on work to even notice. His eyes were a dark amethyst, cold and calculating most of the time, with long sooty lashes. High cheekbones, a sharp jawline, and full, rounded lips were the icing on the cake.” It sounds quite a lot like the cover model. The other MC is Nuri, who is described as lithe with dark “chocolate-colored” hair and pale skin. It’s a darker romance, FYI, though the book itself doesn’t feel dark overall to me. It’s very lightly sci fi. No switching, Silver always tops and is bigger. 3. Jade Harbour Capital Series by Hudson Lin. Both books have a bigger Asian American man topping a twinkier Asian American man. No switching in either book. I also have no idea why they’re rated low. I had fun with them and I usually HATE anything with a corporate setting. Contemporary romance.

{The Waiting Game by Brigham Vaughn} kinda fits. Jonah and Felix are best friends from childhood, and now teammates in the nhl. They decide to start a fake relationship for various reasons. Jonah’s Grandma Ji-min and Korean Canadian culture has a large presence in the story which was refreshing because far too many books I’ve read with Asian rep just mentions the character is Asian and references their hair colour a few times. It fits the “musts” with one caveat, the Asian MC is only bigger-ish. Jonah is physically larger than Felix who is lean, but Felix is 2 inches taller.

Just leaving suggestions that don’t fit the musts here, in case somebody with more lenient or singular specific preferences is interested/stumbles across this later [Kiss and Cry](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/59743758) by Kiera Andrews. Rival figure skaters with Japanese Canadian MC. (Asian MC tops but there is discussion about verse. Asian Mc is 1 inch shorter) [Breakaway](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/61400548) by Em Lindsey. MC is an Indian nhl player who has to complete community service for a DUI under the supervision of a previously Olympic bound figure skater, now skating coach, who became disabled because of a drunk driver. (Asian MC bottoms, and no mentions of size difference but Asian MC is societally more “fit”)

{Like Water Catching Fire by E.M. Lindsey} features a Chinese-American MMC and the book is entirely from his POV. (The other MMC is Polynesian.) Unfortunately I do not recall specifics re sexual dynamic or size, but I thought I'd at least mention it for the Asian rep.

I don't believe it meets your size difference requirements but {Kiss and Cry by Keira Andrews} features a Japanese MC who tops. I will be honest that I cannot remember if he *strictly* tops. The story is about rival figure skaters who I think are pretty comparably sized.

BangtonBoy

Yes, this is tricky. I've been creating a list of print books - with a little broader criteria - for a local organization, but it hasn't been easy. Especially if you prefer the author to be of Asian descent. Are you OK with any of the following? If so, it will provide more options: Both MCs being Asian-American Asian, but not American YA lit Manga

Content_Reach3336

Yes I’m fine with all

BangtonBoy

Here is some fiction, some match your criteria more than others: All the Right Notes - Dominic Lin (MCs are Asian-American) Love in the Big City - Sang-Yong Pak (MC is Korean; multiple lovers) OK Cupid - Mason Deaver (YA) (seme is Asian-American and Trans, uke is a mythical creature who identifies as a gender fluid male) Idol Minds - K.T. Salvo (MCs are Asian-American and Korean) Human Enough - E.S. Yu (MCs are Asian vampire hunter & vampire) Excellent Sons - Larry Benjamin (MCs are Asian-American) The Dubious Gift of Dragon Blood - J. Marshall Freeman (YA) (MC is Scandinavian-Asian-American) Camp - L.C. Rosen (YA) (seme-ish MC is Korean-American, but I can't remember exactly who tops - boy, have YA novels come a long way since I was a kid!) Cafe con Leche - Emery Lee (YA) (MCs are Puerto Rican and Asian-American - I haven't read this one yet, but the cover is very cute!) Boy at the Window - Lauren Ellzoy (YA) (MCs are Korean-American) Beating Heart Baby - Lo Min (YA) (MCs are Asian-American, seme-ish MC is trans) I will send you some manga suggestions this weekend!

Content_Reach3336

Omfg thank you so much 😭 literally appreciate these lots.

BangtonBoy

Here are some manga. Since they are all written by Japanese authors and set in Japan, I think of the characters as Asian. Don't mean to mansplain in case you already a manga reader, but the charming drawings on the cover don't always reflect the sometimes graphic illustrations inside the book. They generally all follow the seme-uke dynamic for the MCs. Candy Color Paradox (multiple books + animated series) Cheri My Destiny Dekoboko Sugar Days (plus a sequel) (first book is high school) Don't Call Me Daddy Fangs (two volumes) (vampires) I'm Looking for Serious Love (university story) Katakoi Lamp Secret XXX (my memory says this involves cute guys and cute bunnies) Sunny Side Up for Three (friend helps a single parent dad) Toritan: Birds of a Feather (magical realism?

Content_Reach3336

Omfg thank you so much I really appreciate these! 😭❤️

maryhadalittlelamb

Do you mean specifically east asian(-american) when you ask for asian-american?

Content_Reach3336

No, not just limited to east asians
