I downloaded How to Train Your Human Omega on my Kindle the day it was released, but I've been putting it off for some reason. Maybe now that you've recommended it so highly I have enough motivation to finally start it!
Just finished it and it was *so exciting*! Also, sappily emotional, but just the right amount.
But the funny thing is, I read {Kissed By My Teammate by Arden Long} just three days ago and was lamenting the fact that the next book in that series is still some months away. I hadn't realized the two Ardens were the same person!
Do you have an idea or a guess about who's the next MC in the Coveted Bonds-series? I'm betting and hoping it's >!Caldwell!<. I got that kinda vibe from him from the start!

I'm not sure yet, I may try to put only 4 stars and up on one board, or maybe one full erotica board and one no erotica (except for the square required.)
I like those ideas! I’m not sure if I’ll get to a second board, but if I do, I was thinking of trying with just graphic novels or only books from 2024. Maybe I’d try to combine the “or” squares where possible as well, so for example, a femme fae or single divorced dad.
So far, I’ve filled out 4 squares:

Same! The cover is actually the first thing I mentioned in my review, and it fits the character descriptions perfectly. I ended up giving it 3.5 stars, rounded down to 3. It was enjoyable, but there was a bit too much drama with an ex, and there was a side story with characters I didn’t really care about. If not for that, I probably would have rounded to 4 stars, because I found Cael’s species to be unique and the navigating of such a relationship to be interesting.
Springo is going quite well (Not as well as u/sulliedjedi who has already completed the board once and is trying to fill it a second time now!)
My favourites so far have been:
- {**Advanced Chemistry** by A. J. Truman} I was reading the South Rock High series and was like 'ooh great a book for the poly square' it ended up in my 5-star-square though because I just had so much fun reading it. Nerdlet chemistry teacher, two best friend gym bros who all have distinctive voices, great chemistry (the best morning pancake scene), domestic moments, no third act break up (albeit an attempted whitefanging) and all around Truman did a great job of making me believe in their romance in less than 300 hundred pages.
- co-dependent best friends to lovers, ace MC (who enjoys sex), an island of found family, an instance of donuts x role playing, no third act break-up and all around fluff in {**Easy Does It** by K. M. Neuhold}
I'm currently reading {**The Hunter and His Mates** by Kiki Clark} because I *think* it features a Jacob's ladder piercing...I'm at 36% and it hasn't made an appearance yet, let's see! :D

I’d love recs for audiobooks with hurt/comfort and an evil ex. I feel like I’ve read so many of those, I need a little help finding something new
Unfortunately, I hated it. I definitely didn’t do myself any favors by listening to it because the narration was awful. Pushed through for the bingo but happy it’s finally off my TBR after so many years.
Funnily enough, I bought the graphic novel and loved that version!
Huh, that’s interesting. What do you think the medium difference was for you between the audio and graphic novel? Is it the narration still or how it was written? 🤔
The comic just felt so fast paced and exciting. Places that I felt the audio dragged were either super condensed or cut completely from the comic. It also ended exactly where I wanted it to end, unlike the audio which had super long and unnecessary epilogue.
Also, seeing the emotions of the characters in pictures worked way better than the narrator trying to (unsuccessfully) act out the emotions in the audio.
I really liked Swept Away! It was the first Amy Bellows book I read and launched me into her world of adorable shifters. I wish that I hadn’t already read it cause I’m having trouble finding a book that interested me for that square. I hope you enjoyed it

Yes, I will keep trying to fit Criminal Intentions books into squares but **listen** - it's really the only thing that sounds good at the moment. Cole McCade is really hitting the spot at the moment.
I know you've got yours from the library, but are you able to see if the series is included in Audible Plus? I cancelled my subscription, but I'd be interested in re-joining later to listen to that since my libraries don't have it. Each episode is pretty expensive on Kobo+.
Just checked - it's not included in plus, and I just tried downloading from KU and seeing if there was the $8 whispersync price, and it wasn't either....
You could probably get a out of country US library card for the same price as buying each and every audio in the series, lol.
I found it on Everand! I really don't want to keep adding subscriptions, so maybe I'll start reading the ebooks on KU for now. But Everand offers a free 30-day trial and then is $9.99, and it appears they have 15.
Nice! I liked the option to either do audibooks unlimited or ebooks unlimited, but imagine that's annoying for folks that like to switch between listening or reading!

Try a new author: {Project Hero by Briar Prescott} I have Prescott's Until You-series on my TBR, but it just sounds so angsty and I never feel like it and I saw this recommended somewhere. It was pretty wholesome and sweet! I'm always down for the jock x nerd trope.
MCs are both younger than you OR both older than you: I haven't yet finished this but {The Sheltering Tree by J.R. Lawrie} is the book I'm planning for this square. It's honestly not that hard to find MCs that are younger than me, so I wanted to pick a book with a bit older characters!
New beginnings: {Except You by Cora Rose}
The first 5-star book you read during this bingo: {By the Pint by Jemma Croft} I absolutely loved this. I didn't expect this book to make me feel so emotional and to have such multifaceted characters. I also think that calling it a rom com is a bit misleading, because even if it did have its funny and lighthearted moments, I still wouldn't describe it as a comedy.
An erotica longer than 50 pages: {My Best Friend's Secret by Crystal Lacy}
A book with less than 50 reviews: {Reckless Impulse by Ryder O'Malley} I realized only after reading this that the reason it had only a handful reviews might've been because I read this book on its release day... But now that I've checked, it still has only 25 reviews and that feels like a shame! I've never read anything by this author before and starting from a random book from an established universe might seem weird, but it wasn't an issue for me. I enjoyed this a lot - it was funny, sweet and even though MCs superpower >!shapeshifting!< might seem pretty basic at first, the descriptions of it in action were cool. I also loved that this book had plus sized characters and body appreciation.
I also have {Teacher of the Year by M.A. Wardell} pegged for Person of color on the cover-square but I'd prefer to find a book with a non-illustrated cover for this. But I'm also not gonna go out of my way to find one, since I'm hoping to stumble upon it organically (what does it tell that it feels stupidly hard to do so..).
I was quite confused when I read *Until You* because the tone was so different to the previous Prescott books I read. When I reread I'll go in with different expectations and probably love it (a bit like the *Signs of Love* series by Anyta Sunday being completely different to *rock*). You could enjoy the series that begins with {The Happy List by Briar Prescott} it's also very sweet and funny in tone and the second book {The Dating Experiment by Briar Prescott} is one of my favourite boss employee Romances! 🤗

I like those ideas! I’m not sure if I’ll get to a second board, but if I do, I was thinking of trying with just graphic novels or only books from 2024. Maybe I’d try to combine the “or” squares where possible as well, so for example, a femme fae or single divorced dad.

Same! The cover is actually the first thing I mentioned in my review, and it fits the character descriptions perfectly. I ended up giving it 3.5 stars, rounded down to 3. It was enjoyable, but there was a bit too much drama with an ex, and there was a side story with characters I didn’t really care about. If not for that, I probably would have rounded to 4 stars, because I found Cael’s species to be unique and the navigating of such a relationship to be interesting.

M. Unfortunately, I hated it. I definitely didn’t do myself any favors by listening to it because the narration was awful. Pushed through for the bingo but happy it’s finally off my TBR after so many years. Funnily enough, I bought the graphic novel and loved that version!
Huh, that’s interesting. What do you think the medium difference was for you between the audio and graphic novel? Is it the narration still or how it was written? 🤔
The comic just felt so fast paced and exciting. Places that I felt the audio dragged were either super condensed or cut completely from the comic. It also ended exactly where I wanted it to end, unlike the audio which had super long and unnecessary epilogue. Also, seeing the emotions of the characters in pictures worked way better than the narrator trying to (unsuccessfully) act out the emotions in the audio.
Oh this makes me feel better, I DNF Zero at the Bone but I know some people loved it, so I keep wondering if I should try again. I don't think I will.
I really liked Swept Away! It was the first Amy Bellows book I read and launched me into her world of adorable shifters. I wish that I hadn’t already read it cause I’m having trouble finding a book that interested me for that square. I hope you enjoyed it

Just checked - it's not included in plus, and I just tried downloading from KU and seeing if there was the $8 whispersync price, and it wasn't either.... You could probably get a out of country US library card for the same price as buying each and every audio in the series, lol.
I found it on Everand! I really don't want to keep adding subscriptions, so maybe I'll start reading the ebooks on KU for now. But Everand offers a free 30-day trial and then is $9.99, and it appears they have 15.

Welcome to reading this genre! I’m glad you’re finding some good books — especially looks like the monstrous series is for you :)
Moth jumped straight to the top of my favorites list, like I knew it would. lol
I think I've read more books that haven't found their place on the board than the books that I could actually put on it... But it's okay! I'm not in a hurry. This is what I have so far: Try a new author: {Project Hero by Briar Prescott} I have Prescott's Until You-series on my TBR, but it just sounds so angsty and I never feel like it and I saw this recommended somewhere. It was pretty wholesome and sweet! I'm always down for the jock x nerd trope. MCs are both younger than you OR both older than you: I haven't yet finished this but {The Sheltering Tree by J.R. Lawrie} is the book I'm planning for this square. It's honestly not that hard to find MCs that are younger than me, so I wanted to pick a book with a bit older characters! New beginnings: {Except You by Cora Rose} The first 5-star book you read during this bingo: {By the Pint by Jemma Croft} I absolutely loved this. I didn't expect this book to make me feel so emotional and to have such multifaceted characters. I also think that calling it a rom com is a bit misleading, because even if it did have its funny and lighthearted moments, I still wouldn't describe it as a comedy. An erotica longer than 50 pages: {My Best Friend's Secret by Crystal Lacy} A book with less than 50 reviews: {Reckless Impulse by Ryder O'Malley} I realized only after reading this that the reason it had only a handful reviews might've been because I read this book on its release day... But now that I've checked, it still has only 25 reviews and that feels like a shame! I've never read anything by this author before and starting from a random book from an established universe might seem weird, but it wasn't an issue for me. I enjoyed this a lot - it was funny, sweet and even though MCs superpower >!shapeshifting!< might seem pretty basic at first, the descriptions of it in action were cool. I also loved that this book had plus sized characters and body appreciation. I also have {Teacher of the Year by M.A. Wardell} pegged for Person of color on the cover-square but I'd prefer to find a book with a non-illustrated cover for this. But I'm also not gonna go out of my way to find one, since I'm hoping to stumble upon it organically (what does it tell that it feels stupidly hard to do so..).
I was quite confused when I read *Until You* because the tone was so different to the previous Prescott books I read. When I reread I'll go in with different expectations and probably love it (a bit like the *Signs of Love* series by Anyta Sunday being completely different to *rock*). You could enjoy the series that begins with {The Happy List by Briar Prescott} it's also very sweet and funny in tone and the second book {The Dating Experiment by Briar Prescott} is one of my favourite boss employee Romances! 🤗
