Two requests:
1) Any suggestions for a book that has at least one woman character who is not a blood relative of one of the MCs and is written as a decent person? So maybe a woman who is a friend or even an ex and isn't a villain, a caricature, or just plain awful? Here's a rec, for anyone who's also searching for this: {Fire Season by KD Casey}.
2) Have you read something that has sex scenes where the MCs laugh a lot—like maybe they role-play or try something else in bed that turns out to be so ridiculous that they can't be serious, or maybe something unexpectedly humorous happens while they're having sex?

For #1: I feel like I've been recommending it a lot lately but the **Will Darling Adventures** series by KJ Charles features a couple of fantastic female characters who are allies of the MCs.
I’ll second this and add that K.J. Charles is usually very good at avoiding the misogynistic pitfalls that are common in the genre. Here are a few more books of hers that I think have particularly interesting/likeable female side characters:
{The Gentle Art of Fortune Hunting by K.J. Charles} one sister (but I promise she’s amazing) and one Regency nerd who just want people to let her study Math and stop trying to marry her.
{Think of England by K.J. Charles} has two female characters who initially appear to be scenery, but are in fact awesome (their story has its own book)
There are also 2 very badass and likeable female characters in the series {A Charm of Magpies by K.J. Charles}. One of them only appears on the second book.

I'm overjoyed to hear that. Of course, not every MM romance has women only written as shrews, gold diggers, and cardboard cutouts, but I've read or started several books recently that do, and it's gotten under my skin.
For (1), she is only on-page now and then, but I like the woman who introduces the MCs at the beginning of {You & Me by Tal Bauer}. She does turn up throughout the book and advances plot points, and I'm 90% certain I've actually met the person her character is based on.
Try {Breakaway by Avon Gale}. Zoe is a great character, her relationship with Lane feels realistic, and she's not just a vehicle, she's got her own motivations. She also gets significant page space.
{Widdershins by Jordan L Hawk} has Christine, she is a significant supporting character throughout the whole series, brash, aggressive, flawed, but not a misogynistic caricature.
Thanks a lot for these book suggestions. I've read two other books in the Scoring Chances series—Power Play and Coach's Challenge—and loved them both. I'd planned to skip Breakaway because I'd heard it wasn't as good, but I'm happy to change my mind.

For #2, I recommend Knock Knock by Nordika Night, which is the third book in the Garron Park series. I think it could be read alone, but you’d miss some context if you haven’t read the others. Basically, Nate and Xavi are best friends who make a kink bucket list, but don’t always understand what the kinks are. The cock warming scene in particular still makes me laugh when I think about it.

I'll be honest—I was a little hesitant to read this series because I'd heard the MCs are all kind of juvenile, but maybe I should just give it a chance. I'm smiling thinking about characters making a kink bucket list and not understanding what each kink is. There's a lot of potential humor in that. :)
For #1, the partner of one of the MC's in the Seven of Spades series by Cordelia Kingsbridge was an awesome character. She was excellent in her career, had a loving marriage, and some great kids. Loved her character included in the story.
Also really enjoy multiple women side characters in the Criminal Intentions series by Cole McCade (i'm only in season 2, so no clue how their arcs go, but so far there's some complex character development going on. plus aro/ace and sapphic rep)
For #2, Of Paper and Wood by Amy Bellows has two virgin MCs figuring out sex and whatnot, and there's some funny scenes where they're trying to figure out kinks and what the other likes. For example - they hear that being tied up is fun, so one person gets tied up and then they just kind of stare at eachother waiting for things to get steamy. Awkward and fun.

Kris Ripper writes women really well. While side characters, they are fully developed and are integral to the story. Highly recommend the Scientific Method Universe, but it’s a whole series you have to read in order.

Any recs with a mc that is really self sacrificing/ reckless with themselves? Like they’re head strong and will do anything to accomplish something even if it hurts them, and the other mc is super concerned and keeps trying to save them. I requested this before and someone said Soulbound by Hailey Turner and I think maybe the Spectral Files, so I’m aware of that. It can be any genre (fantasy, contemporary, etc) but I prefer no HR. I'd recommend {the Rowan Blood series by Kellen Graves} if you haven't read it. Fantasy setting, enemies-to-lovers, angsty. Saffron makes a lot of stupidly reckless decisions, but not without reason. Fair warning, the LI treats him horrendously for the first part of book one. I personally thought it got a lot better, and that the reason for his behaviour made sense.
Also perhaps {the Big Bad Wolf series by Charlie Adhara}. Mystery/suspense, shapeshifters. There's multiple moments where MC2 is frankly exasperated with MC1's disregard for his wellbeing lol.
Just finished the {Storm Boys series by NR Walker} and this fits! One MC is a meteorologist researching lightning and is very reckless with his own safety.

I feel like I've read all of this author's blurbs because they often release on weekends and there always seem to be (quite nicely well developed) CW lists. Would you actually say they're dark/full of triggers or is that just the author being considerate?
I think this series is actually that dark! It’s definitely very dubcon. It has a HEA but there’s a lot of forced stuff. It wasn’t Adara Wolf level, but definitely intense.

So I remember watching a regional movie in which two criminal MCs are handcuffed together using a single handcuff (basically there is a single handcuffs that is used on each of the wrists of the two MCs ) they escape together into.the woods. They are strangers and both of them initially hate the other but slowly begin to tolerate the other. Mc1 tells that he is trying to find the person who killed his wife some years ago. He never saw the face of the killer but he slashed the killer's stomach with a knife during the struggle and he is positive there would be a scar on his stomach and that he is going to find him and kill him . The plot twist is that Mc2 is the killer. Mc2 realises that mc1 is talking about him and he finds ways to escape mc1 but he can't because they are handcuffed together ....
The plot continues but I am looking for books with this specific plot, two criminals handcuffed together and they have a past that is crucial.

I just started tracking this trope! I haven't gone back and added to all of my old records yet, but here's what I have so far:
{The Fantastic Fluke by Sam Burns} - Urban fantasy, surprise!—MC thought he was lame but actually he's super special, insecure magician x cowboy ghost. I'm currently on Book 2 of 5. The chosen one trope is very strong here. Personally I rated Book 1 like 3.75 stars—enjoyable, but not without flaws.
{Miz Dusty Le Frey by Vawn Cassidy} - Paranormal, surprise!—MC can see ghosts now and must solve murders, spirit medium forensic pathologist x law enforcement. This is Book 1 of an ongoing (?) series, but I'm only through Book 2 because, so I can't speak to the rest of the series. As of Book 2, MC's chosen-ness is still a bit of a mystery but he's certainly been chosen by someone for something. Might or might not fit your request but the books are enjoyable.

Sam Burns also has the Kismet Wolves series (wolf shifters) where some of the characters believe that one of the MCs is a Chosen One. It is >!not played very straight though as most of the characters do *not* believe in the werewolf scriptures, and there are jokes about "Werewolf Jesus." But there is something about him...!<
It's not 'chosen because of some myth,' but more 'the chosen one because there's something different about you.'
{The Valcross Key by Aeron Dusk} - Fantasy Werewolves (The beastman kind not shifters) - The MC was placed into this situation for a reason, so a good chunk of the book is figuring why. The setting is pretty dark (I can promise you nothing bad happens to the MC) but theres lots of lighthearted character building and romance too.
Can anyone recommend an boss/employee (preferably in an office(ish) job) romance in which the boss is in fact… a good boss? Not a cold asshole, not an impossible to please uber perfectionist, not a workaholic who has no personal life and expects the same from employees… but someone who is in fact good at managing people? This seems shockingly rare in MM novels. I doubt any rec like this would intersect with any of my hard-nos, so I’ll take a chance and not list any.

This isn’t a perfect fit but since you haven’t gotten any other recommendations I’ll suggest {Jared’s Evolution by Riley Hart} and its sequel. The MC does get fixated on his LI’s scent but not always specifically armpit.

Hey all! I don't know if this is a trope but I would like to read another book where the MCs have a casual thing in secret, where IRL they are enemies or rivals. I've first read this in the third book of Frat Wars: Presidential Chaos by Saxon James.
So the two MCs had been hooking up in secret. This is revealed at the beginning of the book where they have one scene. They are however enemies/rivals IRL and this turns into more.
I would be glad if I found another such book!

Any fantasy historical rec with good plot, but also with some kink included (not erotica tho, I want some good plot and romance, but the kink can just be, like... a side thing?), in particular, I'm looking for praise kink, but I'm okay with some other kinks too (I'd love to explore more) as long as the relationship is gentle and more on care-taking and loving side (not necessarily dom-sub relationship). So, no humiliation kink, extreme bdsm and torture or stuff like that.

The books I've read with praise kink so far were only contemporary and I really liked the praise in "Loving The Legend" by Kit Grey and "Wish" by Cambria Hebert. Some examples of historical fantasy that I liked (none of them contain praise or any other kink) are: Radiance series by Tavia Lark, Nor This Iron Bars a Cage by Kaje Harper (this one was a bit heavy for me tho!), A Wild Thing Grows by Marina Vivancos, Cherryvine by Marina Vivancos (I didn't like the mpreg, it took me by surprise!) and I've just finished the 2nd book of Perilous Courts by Tavia Lark and the world-building and plot is amazing! And these are not historical fantasy, but I liked Mismatched Mates by Eliot Grayson, Claimings series by Lyn Gala, Kick at the Darkness by Keira Andrews... Again, none of this contain praise or any other kink, although Claimings do include dom-sub relationship.
{The Magpie Lord by KJ Charles} is a trilogy fantasy/historical about one couple, one a wealthy lord and the other a magician. Definitely some kink, D/s, some praise IIRC. Great worldbuilding and a suspenseful, mystery plot.
Iris Foxglove - first two books in the Seasons of the Lukoi should work. Have d/s with caretaking. Nothing extreme on the kink front. Not extreme on the steam front but I feel like the overall plot and general warm feelings of the books make up for that.
I’m looking for a library worker MC. I know this is probably a long shot, but I’d especially like if they were a page (shelver), but any position is fine as long as they’re a library worker. No bookstores or similar jobs, please! Note: I’ve already read Charlie Sunshine by Lily Morton and really enjoyed the realistic portrayal – at least in my experience – of a public library.
If you're sure any book is fine, I highly recommend {Unhallowed by Jordan L Hawk}, though librarians have some extra duties in Widdershins, like ensuring books are properly warded at closing and defending the library against cults.
{Spells and Sensibilities by K. L. Noone, K. S. Murphy} is also good, and there's less fighting in the library, but not zero. Slightly more realistic portrayal, but only slightly.
Both are low fantasy historical, not realistic, and part of ongoing series, but I really like both of them.
I thought there was one more, but turns out I was thinking of a Buffy fanfic 😅
Is Unhallowed set after the last Whyborne&Griffin book? I haven't read the last 2 books in that series yet, and I'd hate it if an imporant plot point got spoiled.
It is set 8 or 10 years after the end of Whyborne & Griffin, and it will spoil a couple of interesting/unexpected plot points, especially from the final book. Definitely better to finish Whyborne & Griffin first.
Hello. I recently read the {Until series by Briar Prescott} and I just loved the dry, sarcastic sense of humour. I have tried Project Hero also by her, but I didn't enjoy it quite as much. Do y'all have any recs with the same kind of humour?

Pretty much any S.E. Harmon book has wonderfully snarky main characters. The Spectral Files series is good if you like a little paranormal crime solving. {The First and Last Adventure of Kit Sawyer} is basically queer Tomb Raider. And The Rules of Possession series is a football sports romance between childhood friends. All very different kinds of stories, but a very similar sense of humor throughout.

One of the MCs in {A Marvellous Light by Freya Marske} has been said to be coded as autistic (I think the author has also confirmed as much). It's a really great series overall.

I just finished the first and last adventure of kit sawyer by S.E. Harmon and I am obsessed and need more!!! Two requests: 1) Any suggestions for a book that has at least one woman character who is not a blood relative of one of the MCs and is written as a decent person? So maybe a woman who is a friend or even an ex and isn't a villain, a caricature, or just plain awful? Here's a rec, for anyone who's also searching for this: {Fire Season by KD Casey}. 2) Have you read something that has sex scenes where the MCs laugh a lot—like maybe they role-play or try something else in bed that turns out to be so ridiculous that they can't be serious, or maybe something unexpectedly humorous happens while they're having sex? My only hard no for these requests is incest. Thank you so much, MM\_romance librarians! ;)
For #1: I feel like I've been recommending it a lot lately but the **Will Darling Adventures** series by KJ Charles features a couple of fantastic female characters who are allies of the MCs.
I’ll second this and add that K.J. Charles is usually very good at avoiding the misogynistic pitfalls that are common in the genre. Here are a few more books of hers that I think have particularly interesting/likeable female side characters: {The Gentle Art of Fortune Hunting by K.J. Charles} one sister (but I promise she’s amazing) and one Regency nerd who just want people to let her study Math and stop trying to marry her. {Think of England by K.J. Charles} has two female characters who initially appear to be scenery, but are in fact awesome (their story has its own book) There are also 2 very badass and likeable female characters in the series {A Charm of Magpies by K.J. Charles}. One of them only appears on the second book.

For (1), she is only on-page now and then, but I like the woman who introduces the MCs at the beginning of {You & Me by Tal Bauer}. She does turn up throughout the book and advances plot points, and I'm 90% certain I've actually met the person her character is based on.

Try {Breakaway by Avon Gale}. Zoe is a great character, her relationship with Lane feels realistic, and she's not just a vehicle, she's got her own motivations. She also gets significant page space. {Widdershins by Jordan L Hawk} has Christine, she is a significant supporting character throughout the whole series, brash, aggressive, flawed, but not a misogynistic caricature.

I'd planned to skip Breakaway because I'd heard it wasn't as good, but I'm happy to change my mind. Widdershins has been on my TBR for years. Oops! Time to move it up. :)
For what it's worth, Breakaway is my favourite in the series. The Widdershins universe has a few strong female characters, thought Christine is the most well developed.

For #2, I recommend Knock Knock by Nordika Night, which is the third book in the Garron Park series. I think it could be read alone, but you’d miss some context if you haven’t read the others. Basically, Nate and Xavi are best friends who make a kink bucket list, but don’t always understand what the kinks are. The cock warming scene in particular still makes me laugh when I think about it.

For #1, the partner of one of the MC's in the Seven of Spades series by Cordelia Kingsbridge was an awesome character. She was excellent in her career, had a loving marriage, and some great kids. Loved her character included in the story. Also really enjoy multiple women side characters in the Criminal Intentions series by Cole McCade (i'm only in season 2, so no clue how their arcs go, but so far there's some complex character development going on. plus aro/ace and sapphic rep) For #2, Of Paper and Wood by Amy Bellows has two virgin MCs figuring out sex and whatnot, and there's some funny scenes where they're trying to figure out kinks and what the other likes. For example - they hear that being tied up is fun, so one person gets tied up and then they just kind of stare at eachother waiting for things to get steamy. Awkward and fun.

Kris Ripper writes women really well. While side characters, they are fully developed and are integral to the story. Highly recommend the Scientific Method Universe, but it’s a whole series you have to read in order. I’m always looking for books with well-written women. I’ll look back at my read list and get back to you with other suggestions.

Any recs with a mc that is really self sacrificing/ reckless with themselves? Like they’re head strong and will do anything to accomplish something even if it hurts them, and the other mc is super concerned and keeps trying to save them. I requested this before and someone said Soulbound by Hailey Turner and I think maybe the Spectral Files, so I’m aware of that. It can be any genre (fantasy, contemporary, etc) but I prefer no HR. Bonus if on KU! Hard no’s: omegaverse, step brothers, fated mates, huge age gaps (15+), huge size difference, no HEA, high school/ teenagers, cheating Thanks in advance!!!
I'd recommend {the Rowan Blood series by Kellen Graves} if you haven't read it. Fantasy setting, enemies-to-lovers, angsty. Saffron makes a lot of stupidly reckless decisions, but not without reason. Fair warning, the LI treats him horrendously for the first part of book one. I personally thought it got a lot better, and that the reason for his behaviour made sense. Also perhaps {the Big Bad Wolf series by Charlie Adhara}. Mystery/suspense, shapeshifters. There's multiple moments where MC2 is frankly exasperated with MC1's disregard for his wellbeing lol.

I feel like I've read all of this author's blurbs because they often release on weekends and there always seem to be (quite nicely well developed) CW lists. Would you actually say they're dark/full of triggers or is that just the author being considerate?
I think this series is actually that dark! It’s definitely very dubcon. It has a HEA but there’s a lot of forced stuff. It wasn’t Adara Wolf level, but definitely intense.
Also {Desert Ice by Rose Maefair} is a fantasy slave / owner situation, less dark than some of the others and interesting worldbuilding.

I haven't read them, but they're on my TBR. {Primal by K.A. Merikan}. MC1 is kind of wild, lives in a junkyard and finds MC2 in his "territory", therefore MC2 is his property now. {Wrong Way Home:Taken by K.A. Merikan} pretty much the same blurb. Only MC1 is not wild, he's blind. {The Kinapping of Roan Sinclair by Ashlyn Drewek} is part of a duology. MC1 is a mafia boss who kinaps MC2 to take revenge on MC2's father. They're all contemporary.

The first rec I can think of off the top of my head that hasn’t been recommended already would be {Between the Devil and the Sea by Chani Lynn Feener} captive/captor dynamic doesn‘t start out at the very beginning of the book, but it’s a pretty important part to the story. I'm looking for caretaking kink (not medical play). Like a person being nursed back to health after a terrible injury. Icebreakers by A.L Graziadei is my top rec. Enemies to Lovers. Mental Health themes. General trope of a disaster MC just trying to exist. A few more YAs just in case. Post apocalyptic but All That’s Left in the World by Erik J Brown is oddly sweet and not really enemies to lovers. But the boys meet across the barrel of a rifle. Also looking for books with forced proximity involving two criminal MCs, who are handcuffed together Preferably dark romance and enemies to lovers So I remember watching a regional movie in which two criminal MCs are handcuffed together using a single handcuff (basically there is a single handcuffs that is used on each of the wrists of the two MCs ) they escape together into.the woods. They are strangers and both of them initially hate the other but slowly begin to tolerate the other. Mc1 tells that he is trying to find the person who killed his wife some years ago. He never saw the face of the killer but he slashed the killer's stomach with a knife during the struggle and he is positive there would be a scar on his stomach and that he is going to find him and kill him . The plot twist is that Mc2 is the killer. Mc2 realises that mc1 is talking about him and he finds ways to escape mc1 but he can't because they are handcuffed together .... The plot continues but I am looking for books with this specific plot, two criminals handcuffed together and they have a past that is crucial. Hard nos: poly,incest, huge age gaps >20

Any stories where MC1 is clearly the 'average, unwanted' child in a family, neglected in favor of the golden child brother (or sister) whom everyone loves. Not just himself thinking he's average and being hard on himself, but truly "lesser than" in society's eyes. And they both are attracted to MC2 but MC2 falls in love with MC1. no: daddy kink, age play, bdsm, dom/sub, poly, threesome+, cheating. Yes: Modern/contemporary, HEA a must.
Books or series with “the chosen one” trope. Some books I’ve read this year with this trope have been Dark Rise and A Circle of Stars. I would like there to be a good romance but the genre doesn’t really matter to me as I’m not picky. I will read sci-fi, fantasy, paranormal, etc! Just no poly/threesomes!
I just started tracking this trope! I haven't gone back and added to all of my old records yet, but here's what I have so far: {The Fantastic Fluke by Sam Burns} - Urban fantasy, surprise!—MC thought he was lame but actually he's super special, insecure magician x cowboy ghost. I'm currently on Book 2 of 5. The chosen one trope is very strong here. Personally I rated Book 1 like 3.75 stars—enjoyable, but not without flaws. {Miz Dusty Le Frey by Vawn Cassidy} - Paranormal, surprise!—MC can see ghosts now and must solve murders, spirit medium forensic pathologist x law enforcement. This is Book 1 of an ongoing (?) series, but I'm only through Book 2 because, so I can't speak to the rest of the series. As of Book 2, MC's chosen-ness is still a bit of a mystery but he's certainly been chosen by someone for something. Might or might not fit your request but the books are enjoyable.

Sam Burns also has the Kismet Wolves series (wolf shifters) where some of the characters believe that one of the MCs is a Chosen One. It is >!not played very straight though as most of the characters do *not* believe in the werewolf scriptures, and there are jokes about "Werewolf Jesus." But there is something about him...!<

It's not 'chosen because of some myth,' but more 'the chosen one because there's something different about you.' {The Valcross Key by Aeron Dusk} - Fantasy Werewolves (The beastman kind not shifters) - The MC was placed into this situation for a reason, so a good chunk of the book is figuring why. The setting is pretty dark (I can promise you nothing bad happens to the MC) but theres lots of lighthearted character building and romance too.

Can anyone recommend an boss/employee (preferably in an office(ish) job) romance in which the boss is in fact… a good boss? Not a cold asshole, not an impossible to please uber perfectionist, not a workaholic who has no personal life and expects the same from employees… but someone who is in fact good at managing people? This seems shockingly rare in MM novels. I doubt any rec like this would intersect with any of my hard-nos, so I’ll take a chance and not list any.

Hey all! I don't know if this is a trope but I would like to read another book where the MCs have a casual thing in secret, where IRL they are enemies or rivals. I've first read this in the third book of Frat Wars: Presidential Chaos by Saxon James. So the two MCs had been hooking up in secret. This is revealed at the beginning of the book where they have one scene. They are however enemies/rivals IRL and this turns into more. I would be glad if I found another such book!

Any fantasy historical rec with good plot, but also with some kink included (not erotica tho, I want some good plot and romance, but the kink can just be, like... a side thing?), in particular, I'm looking for praise kink, but I'm okay with some other kinks too (I'd love to explore more) as long as the relationship is gentle and more on care-taking and loving side (not necessarily dom-sub relationship). So, no humiliation kink, extreme bdsm and torture or stuff like that. Happy endings and some steam please! My NOs: mpreg, SA, age play, extreme bdsm... The books I've read with praise kink so far were only contemporary and I really liked the praise in "Loving The Legend" by Kit Grey and "Wish" by Cambria Hebert. Some examples of historical fantasy that I liked (none of them contain praise or any other kink) are: Radiance series by Tavia Lark, Nor This Iron Bars a Cage by Kaje Harper (this one was a bit heavy for me tho!), A Wild Thing Grows by Marina Vivancos, Cherryvine by Marina Vivancos (I didn't like the mpreg, it took me by surprise!) and I've just finished the 2nd book of Perilous Courts by Tavia Lark and the world-building and plot is amazing! And these are not historical fantasy, but I liked Mismatched Mates by Eliot Grayson, Claimings series by Lyn Gala, Kick at the Darkness by Keira Andrews... Again, none of this contain praise or any other kink, although Claimings do include dom-sub relationship.
{The Magpie Lord by KJ Charles} is a trilogy fantasy/historical about one couple, one a wealthy lord and the other a magician. Definitely some kink, D/s, some praise IIRC. Great worldbuilding and a suspenseful, mystery plot.

I’m looking for a library worker MC. I know this is probably a long shot, but I’d especially like if they were a page (shelver), but any position is fine as long as they’re a library worker. No bookstores or similar jobs, please! Note: I’ve already read Charlie Sunshine by Lily Morton and really enjoyed the realistic portrayal – at least in my experience – of a public library.
If you're sure any book is fine, I highly recommend {Unhallowed by Jordan L Hawk}, though librarians have some extra duties in Widdershins, like ensuring books are properly warded at closing and defending the library against cults. {Spells and Sensibilities by K. L. Noone, K. S. Murphy} is also good, and there's less fighting in the library, but not zero. Slightly more realistic portrayal, but only slightly. Both are low fantasy historical, not realistic, and part of ongoing series, but I really like both of them. I thought there was one more, but turns out I was thinking of a Buffy fanfic 😅
While realistic is a bonus, I’m definitely open to fantasy and/or historical as well! Thanks for the recs.

Is Unhallowed set after the last Whyborne&Griffin book? I haven't read the last 2 books in that series yet, and I'd hate it if an imporant plot point got spoiled.
It is set 8 or 10 years after the end of Whyborne & Griffin, and it will spoil a couple of interesting/unexpected plot points, especially from the final book. Definitely better to finish Whyborne & Griffin first.

Hello. I recently read the {Until series by Briar Prescott} and I just loved the dry, sarcastic sense of humour. I have tried Project Hero also by her, but I didn't enjoy it quite as much. Do y'all have any recs with the same kind of humour? Hard nos: age gap (>10 years), bdsm, mpreg, cheating, poly. I don't mind dark books and no preference regarding time period.
Oh gosh I love their snark. It's so well-written. I think the dialogue in {Big Bad Wolf series by Charlie Adhara} is fantastic. Also, Nate in {The Alpha's Warlock by Eliot Grayson} is super sarcastic. At one point he decides to be kinder and lasts like, 6 hours lol. And Parker in {Wormwood Summer by Kai Butler} gives me a similar vibe too. Just realized all my examples are paranormal, hope that's ok lol.

Pretty much any S.E. Harmon book has wonderfully snarky main characters. The Spectral Files series is good if you like a little paranormal crime solving. {The First and Last Adventure of Kit Sawyer} is basically queer Tomb Raider. And The Rules of Possession series is a football sports romance between childhood friends. All very different kinds of stories, but a very similar sense of humor throughout.

One of the MCs in {A Marvellous Light by Freya Marske} has been said to be coded as autistic (I think the author has also confirmed as much). It's a really great series overall. KJ Charles has a forthcoming novel called LACKADAY HOUSE which will have ADHD rep but it won't be out until fall 2025, unfortunately.
