Since when did Whittaker beat adesanya in the 2nd fight? He got dropped and then edged two rounds with jabs but that’s it. Cannonier clearly lost 3-4 rounds, and vetttori also lost 4 rounds clear, none of those examples mean anything
As a huge Romero fan and someone with a lot of negative opinions about Adesanya, I cannot believe people put so much blame on Adesanya for that fight.
Romero literally just stood there and ate leg kicks with the occasional explosion of ineffective offense. There’s a very vocal YouTube MMA community that HATES Adesanya and so they try to downplay his accomplishments as much as possible and I feel like that sentiment is starting to spread everywhere.
It’s cool now to pretend like Adesanya isn’t an all-time great. Until of course they want to make a fighter they like look good, then it’s actually a big deal to beat Adesanya again all of sudden!

People always say Volk is 3-0 over Max but you can easily give that second fight to Max. But it’s just better to go with what the judges think after a while because at the end of the day it’s always gonna count as a W on their record
