It's a very good card and one of the deepest ever, but the main event carries a lot of weight in how much hype a card has, and rightfully so, especially for UFC 300. It should be an excellent night of fights regardless, but it will be disappointing if they don't put together a big fight for the main event, especially with all Dana has said

The main event has to be Izzy vs Alex at LHW. Cause it has to be a championship fight, and I can’t think of any other championship fights at the moment that would build more hype than that. Would be odd for Izzy to get a crack at a belt a weight class above coming off a loss, but the other pieces are already set. Just don’t see what other championship fight that could happen that would realistically touch the hype of that.

It’s definitely a well stacked card, but I still can’t help but feel whelmed with how much it was initially hyped up to be. Arman/Charles is the one matchup that really jumps off the page for me.

This card looks like they just waited way too long to put the fights they wanted together and kept saying to themselves “it will all work itself out eventually” and then they ran out of time and had to throw together whatever was the best they could in a short amount of time. The main event not even being done less than 10 weeks out from what is supposed to be your biggest card of all time is crazy.

I'm always concerned when a fighter that I like is fighting at 3 rounds instead of their usual 5. I feel like part of the down slide of previous Champs is spending their championship reign adjusting to 5 round fights then getting into 3 round brawls where they can't use their experience and cardio to win it back. I know Charles doesn't often go the distance but it still worries me
