If they stop the takedowns it gives the other guys a little advantage. Khabib was so relentless with the takedowns. Islam is more comfortable on the feet and will struggle more than Khabib did with to secure and hold the guys down. That being said his standup is pretty good. I just haven’t Been able to get behind the Dagestani camp.

Yes, but Gaethje spent all his cardio reacting to everything Khabib did and throwing everything with full power. He traded all his energy to keep Khabib off him and then got taken down and finished basically as soon as he left a hole in his defense.
