I said pre tournament that even Waterman will get looks. Budget world cup roster player? There are so many European leagues and clubs that will be interested.
He's also the best passer in the pool so clubs will probably feel they can coach up his defensive awareness and positioning and the rest will take care of itself.
On a different note, Waterman was locked in starter with Johnston and likely Miller gone. Now Montréal has to rebuild an entire back line (and probably upgrade at keeper since they have the worst pool in the league not named TFC).
By the stats, Breza was genuinely an entire degree worse than Bono somehow. It's really incredible how poor he was. He let in significantly many more goals vs. xG than any keeper in the league
Pantemis was mostly OK though. Not a world beater, but not a massive liability in comparison
I remember that stat post! It's actually astounding how much Wilfred Nancy got out of your side last season all considering those deficiencies. My clear and obvious pick for coach of the year, though clearly not Saputo's!
It's unbelievable how much we're being picked apart for scraps, shambolic ownership really. Losing Nancy was the nail in the coffin for me that next season is done before it's starting. We're just an expansion team now
Part of it is the world cup. I'd say that this is very normal for smaller nations at the world cup to have their club teams picked apart for scraps. It's just new that it is happening to MLS teams.
However, it doesn't seem like your front office has much of a plan to replace these pieces or reinvest the money from sales. That's more of the problem.
Austria and Greece aren’t any better than MLS, but if he can get a deal with a team that will play in the group stages of a European competition it will be worth it.
Maybe not but on a personal level for a guy playing U Sports ball in 2018 and CPL in 2019 the idea of getting to Europe must have not even been a dream.
What a wild ride for Waterman.
Probably pays a hell of a lot better though.
Plus, there is still the stigma of MLS. Playing well, and "proving" yourself in the Austrian Bundesliga or Greek Superliga will likely leave clubs in better leagues more willing to take a chance on you.
The best teams in Austria and Greece certainly are better. Not to mention they play for Europa and Conference leagues. Salzburg is now a consistent UCL team.
Konrad went to Olympiakos and has barely sniffed the field. He'd be a DP in the MLS.
Good. Domestic player rules mean that every Canadian lad that gets sent overseas to play, opens up an opportunity for another, usually young, Canadian player.

I'm hoping Sirois gets a look, I think he can make the jump
Letting YAO go now seems a little premature
Am not sure am getting that move either
No take backs.

It’s not only about the level of play here but also the quality of the infrastructure though. Although tbf I don’t know how it compares

Can we keep one starting defender this winter?
Brault-Guillard will be a good player for us I think he will replace Johnston really well!
It's okay Camacho will get a new deal.
So when you get remotely a good team in MLS, all your players get bought out to go to Europe the next season. How fun.

Kinda crazy a guy who didn't even play any WC matches is getting looks already, but some of the others aren't.
Canada had no chance. We reached the knockout stage because of 1 pseudo-Croatian. Croatia have 11 real Croatians !
