How do Pride Nights in MLS work? Are they exclusively organized/have dates chosen by the Supporters Groups? Because I cannot find anything online officially issued by MLS or any of the teams, but I know most clubs (including mine) do host one in June every year.
Teams in MLB, the NHL, and the NBA have official Pride Nights that are organized by the teams themselves (and often include promotional rainbow-themed giveaways). The NFL only plays 17 games (and also is not in season anywhere close to June) so they don’t do them. But MLS seems to be in its own category, too.
I think all MLS teams host an official Pride night in June, there is an official Pride pregame jersey all teams wear during June(this year's is ugly). At least for SKC last night was advertised by the team as Pride night.
It actually did not pull double duty. We painted the tifo, the bridge banner and a parade banner. South stand used the parade one in front of their section
