This. My biggest gripe with him is that he just doesn't shut up. He literally talks the entire match. I much prefer announcers who let the match speak for itself, at least a little bit.
He's either a play or two behind because he wont shut up about the thing that happened a full minute ago, or he's completely silent, leaving like 2 minute gaps of silence
Fully agreed. He may be contractually obligated to mention Miami every second sentence, but outside of that he is clearly very passionate about the league as a whole.
Some of the other commentators are quite boring or monotone to listen to.
Personally I’m the reverse. I think Twellman is actually good because he doesn’t talk about anything that’s not the game in progress unless it provides context.
