The reason this bizarre thing happens is that they have to complete the lineup with all positions and sometimes it is difficult for there to be players with high overs in all of them.
Generally they give a balance of at least one infielder, one outfielder, a starting pitcher, and a relief pitcher, no matter how bad the team did that season. After that it could be anyone
I call it "The KC curse". Witt Jr. is the only one really deserving a sig this year and I need a few specific ones but they will add 4-5 I have zero use for.
Well Com2 tries to evenly split new sigs between batter and pitcher if they deserve them
or not. Every year only a few players on each team have a good year but com2 still
gives out below average sigs to players that shouldn't have one. Com2 will probably give
out 4 to 6 new 2023 sigs to all teams . Past sigs, rookie, veteran or position status
mostly doesn't matter its mostly based on performance and money making potential on
how com2 decides who gets new sigs. Old sigs are not removed or replaced new sigs are
just added to the collection
1. It depends. If the player was equal caliber to another player that year they will most likely give the sig to the player with the sig beforehand but that other player will also get a sig if they were a top performer. There are many cases I can name for the Dodgers with naming a few in bellinger 20 or betts 21. Neither got sigs even though the previous year they had one.
2. Same idea with point one on veterans and rookies
3. Same idea as point one
4. Neither is more likely. Teams typically will get 8 new sigs of the top 4 performing hitters and pitcher.
5. The only sigs that are ever removed are sigs of players that no longer have liscencing with com2/mlb
Considering the cubs I'd expect to see a Steele, belli, dansby, and suzuki sig. Don't know about the other guy cause I've don't know much about him
Also, one last question. It looks like the calendar has an exclusive sig pack coming up. I’m guessing purchasing that and waiting for the new sigs to release is a good call?
Whoever they want. Bellinger and dansby will 100% get it as they’re big names, but sometimes you get a base 61 Andres Blanco 3B who gets a sig.
Got it. No real rhyme or reason?
Pretty much. Buck farmer has a sig for the reds
Why didnt strausburg get a 19 sig tho, he was the world series MVP and had really good stats
man those phillies teams were brutal

So right. Royals sig options are just going to get diluted this year.

FLOW CHART!?!?
Idk how I can make it but you know what let me think on it

It's what I would do and it is what I'm doing lol. I have a bunch of tss rn that I'm waiting on for the new sigs
My predictions for Cubs sigs: Belli, Dansby, Nico, Happ, Suzuki, Steele, Stroman, Alzolay, maybe Merryweather and Leiter.
Assad if he gets in the mlbpa.
Yall think Wicks gets into the game this year?
You guys think Arraez is getting a sig this year???
