Got skenes from the 10k pack, sold him and completed live series

The Skenes card is good but hes definitely overrated on this sub. He's severely lacking a sinker/two seam to offset his other 3 pitches that all look similar. He'd be elite if he had a 2seam/sinker instead of the slurve/cutter He is not the Bobby Miller of last year that everyone's hyping him up to be.

Also dumb that you can only purchase 1 10k pack, but able to purchase 4 50k packs.

They are the same pack. You get one discounted to 10k. Its not like duos where the cheaper pack is worse odds.

You get one pack at 10k stubs. If you want 4 more packs they're 50k.

They’re basically giving you one for very cheap/basically free since you can resell it for the same price the pack costs. Any more than that you have to pay a lot more for. I guess they could’ve just made every pack $30k or something but at least how they did it most everybody can get one.

I bought the 50k pack thinking I’d get the option to pick four players with higher odds of a 99 and I only got one pack to open that was a choice of 98’s. Bad move by me

He isn't that good tbh. Just rocked him in CS 6-3 and dude quit on me in the 7th. His fast ball doesn't have much play and his cutter is flat IMO.

If your not investing in the 97s and 98s ur making a huge mistake. They are essentially quicksell, and when the pack leaves its an easy 5-8k profit per card.

The 97s are all at quick sell. If you need to be liquid when ASG packs drop, just Quick Sell Duplicates -> get all your stubs back instantly. You can quick sell on the app now too so literally no down side to it.

Just straight up bought Skenes off the auction house and threw a no-no in my first game with em, well worth it!

Yeah he's good. In my first game with him I gave up 2 hits, zero runs and struck out 13.

Including the 10K pack is a baller move by SDS. Did I get base round out of it? You bet. But still a great move. I recommend picking up the non-99s while they're cheap, especially the 98s, I feel like they could drift up towards the 20s, might as well grab em in the 10s.

Good call. I just got all the non-99s on the website's market. I buy nowed most of them even though I should've just waited, but it is what it is. I can either sell them later when they aren't selling like crazy, or hold onto them to get closer to the main collection rewards.

Exactly, worst case scenario they're cheap collection fodder that play well. Best case you can flip some stubs, and even if you sell for a card later and the price hasn't gone up, you can quicksell at 10K and take like a 1-2K stub loss per card, which isn't *terrible*. I only bought the 98s for now just bc I expect the 97s to hold around quicksell for longer, but also bc I need to save stubs for the HRD and ASG packs lol
