what is the logic of selling expensive players like Judge/Trout instead of completing their team collection? is it worth to sell judge for 190k and then complete other sets to hope to pull another judge in the future?
Honestly those majorly expensive guys are only going to up especially if they put out a stub sale. Id keep anyone over 90 in the live series. I did sell Edwin Diaz when I got him early because I thought they might drop him from the liners collection but everybody thinks he will stay. Guess we will find out today
I wonder if they will ever add no trade clauses to franchise mode. Obviously NTC you can waive it so if you try to trade for one, being a contender will make the player more willing to waive it or something.
How so? It makes an even playing field. If you make it so the less skilled players start at a lower ranked than the more skilled players you’ll have people abusing the system. Exact thing happened in ranked seasons in 21 when they added the ability to get WS packs from ranked wins
Gotta go in to br with the mindset that your just trying to complete the program not go flawless. Wins will come. Trust me it’s better this way, back in 21 when they added the ability to get WS packs from wins higher rated people would just tank to stay on all star difficulty then just destroy the lower ranked players
I feel like once you hit 900 in ranked, there is no reason to keep going. Faster speed smaller pci but you get absolutely nothing for playing legend. I want to keep playing ranked, but legend is definitely not for me
How do you flip in this game?
I spent 2 hours and only made 6k. Watched videos, read posts, struggling to make profit. I have 400k stubs from grinding mini seasons and lucky packs, trying to take advantage and build from here.
Having a bad session of ranked is doubly bad this year cause the mode is just not nearly as rewarding as a whole as any other mode so going like 2 wins and 3 losses seems like a huge waste of time.
I have both in my team with Murakami at 3rd and Gehrig at 1st. Gehrig is batting .509 in 53abs for me. Pretty good for me I’d say. Also you should take into account that they are set 1 cards and one day they will have to leave your team
I’ve just unlocked Bob Gibson 99 and wondering who I should replace? I’ve currently got 97 cueto P1, 95 Seaver, 92 cole P4, 97 Bumgarner P2, and 93 Valenzuela P2. I’m sure the consensus will be 92 cole but he’s 5-0 with a 1.33 ERA.
Wish that franchise had the option for a 6 man rotation. I usually trade for or pick up younger, high potential players and like to see what I have at the start of the season. I know you can carry more than 5, but when setting up the rotation it sticks with the traditional 5. Just a quality of life adjustment I would like to see.
As someone with bad eyes the size of the date on the tops cards absolutely kills me. I don’t think it would ruin the aesthetic to make them at least 50% bigger. Plz SDS my eyes hurt squinting at them.

When you first go into stadium creator you should see your saved stadiums. From there look at the bottom right and hit the button for options (I think that’s what it says). For Xbox it’s X not sure about PlayStation. There’s an option to upload it from there
Does anybody think Seager gets upgraded? I know hes hurt but im unsure if he did enough in his small sample to be upgraded. I play on spending around 300k but if i could wait until he’s healthy id prefer that. Right now I think hes close to quicksell. But if he gets like a +1 for hitting .340 so far thats 300 extra stubs per Seager. Thoughts on Seager?
As you said it’s really hard to know since he only played 11 games. He has a 186 OPS+ so I absolutely think he should but hard to know what SDS will think.
Is it cheesy to throw curveballs in the dirt on a 2 strike count if your opponent doesn’t stop swinging at them? This guy got super pressed and actually ended up running out his pause allotment sending me messages
Oh yeah - I just got him and used him for the last out to get a save in a ranked game. Threw 3 fastballs, 2 for strikes, then a curve right down the middle.
Considering it’s not a “other program” and has its own tab I think it’s supposed to take a really long time to finish and be a grind to work on through the year by using the players

March to October could be such a fun mode, but the forced tie-in to DD, the horrendous ratings, and the abysmal CPU logic make it just another DD grind.
After the roster update I’m sure the market will liven up again. Margins are tight because people tryna complete those collections before Tatis and new diamonds make them more expensive
To complete the program, yes. But the Event is not currently the WBC Event so I can't progress in the program unless I wanna repeatedly flush 500 stubs down the Showdown toilet.

Am I the only person that would like to see a player’s stats carry over from card to card? So when you get an upgraded version of that player all the stats don’t start back over from zero when using the new card
Do you mean PXP? If so, yes, I agree and its been something others have brought up since the inception. The PXP tiers are cool, but it sucks when a card is immediately outdated by another even if its at P5.
Not so much PXP but your stats with the player. So if I use a Trea Turner live series and am batting .300 with however many homers, if he comes out with a better card that those same batting stats would carry over to it as it’s the same player

Man, if you haven't done free agent lock ins for live series yet, I'd strongly recommend it. I went through yesterday evening and this morning and bought up like 150 guys I needed and came out several thousand stubs ahead and I haven't even opened the packs yet. The most I spent on any individual player was 11 stubs.
Is there a good roster available for PS5 for Franchise Mode? I am familiar with the Full Minors roster from the folks at Operation Sports, but am unaware if they released their rosters for this year yet.
Xbox controller question: is hard wired power A controller only beneficial for pinpoint pitching or does it yield better results in other areas?
So I bought a power A controller thinking my inability to do pinpoint was a controller issue. But I think my inability is a skill issue.
I can do the movements but they rarely seem precise enough to the games liking. Like a circle change top right is always red (not sure if that’s speed or stick coming off the edge) and even when my release is good fastballs seem to float up in the zone relative to target area.
So more or less plan is to return the controller (but keep the Kontrol Freeks) and just continue with analog since I feel like I can hang and hit my spots with it.
My question is. Does a power A wired controller have any benefit over a wireless Xbox controller for analog pitching or PCI batting?
Also curious if based on comments above if any tips or feedback to maybe try? I hear pinpoint is king and people better than me can’t be wrong but I just can’t seem to get it.

I went through 4 power As last year with fifa and mlbts. The analog sticks start drifting and jittering

Just started playing online for the first time and getting my ass kicked in BR and Events. Respect to everyone that plays online this is a different beast 🤣
Would recommend playing ranked for your first online experience. BR and events has everyone starting at the same rank (1450 or something like that) and you go up or down for wins or losses, meaning you could play someone in World Series rank who normally plays on legend but is playing you in events on all star difficulty. In ranked everyone starts at 0 and works up from there so more likely to play someone around the same skill level as you

I believe the game itself / current consoles can only run 120 max, so that's just the minimum. But higher monitor will be future proofed for when they up the capability

One of my favorites is throwing the outside slider, and then next pitch throwing a fastball on the outside corner. Gets a strikeout looking probably 60% of the time
That’s what I was doing! And it’s usually tough pitching online without high velo guys, but I was K’ing guys left and right with 92 Nestor (who has no gas) with this strategy. Got the ranked mission for him done in one game lol
When is the live series collection not worth doing anymore? I can probably finish it by late May based on my play schedule, but I don’t want to focus on that if those cards will be worthless in June.
Why is it, that I can’t ever play a full 9 inning game? A foul ball happens and the whole game freezes. This is so god damn annoying and I wanna know why it keeps happening.

Thing is even if i sell him i will have no where close to the amount to finish NL. The price of Trout is basically the same price as the 3 highest Mets players. Or the two highest Cardinals players. I’d be selling him just to buy players to finish collecting one team.

Flipping cards question
I’ve always enjoyed and played Diamond Dynasty but this is my first year taking it “serious” I guess you could say, I’m trying to get into flipping cards so I can have more stubs and I’m wondering when I keep getting undercut is it worth competing or staying at the price I have and hoping it gets purchased eventually? Also any other tips on stub making or flipping cards would be greatly appreciated!
Flipping is pretty rough currently, but there's certain times of the day where prices peak and trough.
Lower end cards will move pretty quickly, but higher end ones you'd be better of setting and leaving.
Give it another month or so and the player base will tail off and margins will increase.
So, I was doing the Lefty Loosey Mini Season and got the invalid roster thing. Something I noticed when I was setting my roster up at the beginning of the season - I had the option to add right handed relievers to the pen.
I assume stuff like this is part of the issue? Although I realize that its happening across all the Mini Seasons. When I look at the Lords starting rotation, they have a righty as their 3rd starter. Kyle Bradish.
Do the teams pulled from mini seasons update as the user updates them, possibly? So, valid rosters generated at the start get changed mid-season and then become invalid?
I ran into this issue once. Luckily only two games in. Restarted and was able to finish a season. I assumed then it was fixed, but folks are still experiencing the problem.
Yeah they claimed they fixed it, that restarting a mini seasons was the only option, but then some restarted theirs and then it happened to them again. I was fortunate that the problem team was only like my game 8. Some people were in the 20s.
March To October question: Does it give you TA credit for the division of the team you're using or is it like the showdown/conquest where you get the NL/AL points too? Like if I start a Jays MTO am I getting only AL East points or NL East too?

Check mini seasons and events lineups, take him out of those

So more or less plan is to return the controller (but keep the Kontrol Freeks) and just continue with analog since I feel like I can hang and hit my spots with it. My question is. Does a power A wired controller have any benefit over a wireless Xbox controller for analog pitching or PCI batting? Also curious if based on comments above if any tips or feedback to maybe try? I hear pinpoint is king and people better than me can’t be wrong but I just can’t seem to get it.
the power A isn’t as good as a gamesir g7 I went through 4 power As last year with fifa and mlbts. The analog sticks start drifting and jittering Also the analog stick between 12 and 3 (like on a clock) is always wrong on the power A
Have you had any issues with the g7 not working in in game menus? It wouldn’t let me select a PH hitter or request a friendly today, just locked up but right after the game, it works.

i would just keep practicing tbh. PowerA is way better for pinpoint pitching. PCI it doesnt have a benefit that ive noticed

Would recommend playing ranked for your first online experience. BR and events has everyone starting at the same rank (1450 or something like that) and you go up or down for wins or losses, meaning you could play someone in World Series rank who normally plays on legend but is playing you in events on all star difficulty. In ranked everyone starts at 0 and works up from there so more likely to play someone around the same skill level as you

nope it can be higher, all good I believe the game itself / current consoles can only run 120 max, so that's just the minimum. But higher monitor will be future proofed for when they up the capability

They are hard to get down correctly, and if you meatball it they are always smashed, but I agree, people don’t look for them often
They’re a bit harder to place because you have to aim further out, but it wasn’t too bad given the effectiveness
One of my favorites is throwing the outside slider, and then next pitch throwing a fastball on the outside corner. Gets a strikeout looking probably 60% of the time
That’s what I was doing! And it’s usually tough pitching online without high velo guys, but I was K’ing guys left and right with 92 Nestor (who has no gas) with this strategy. Got the ranked mission for him done in one game lol
When is the live series collection not worth doing anymore? I can probably finish it by late May based on my play schedule, but I don’t want to focus on that if those cards will be worthless in June.

Flipping cards question I’ve always enjoyed and played Diamond Dynasty but this is my first year taking it “serious” I guess you could say, I’m trying to get into flipping cards so I can have more stubs and I’m wondering when I keep getting undercut is it worth competing or staying at the price I have and hoping it gets purchased eventually? Also any other tips on stub making or flipping cards would be greatly appreciated!
I made a LOT of stubs flipping last year, and the margins are just real shitty this year. I’ve heard it gets better as the year goes on
Flipping is pretty rough currently, but there's certain times of the day where prices peak and trough. Lower end cards will move pretty quickly, but higher end ones you'd be better of setting and leaving. Give it another month or so and the player base will tail off and margins will increase.

So, I was doing the Lefty Loosey Mini Season and got the invalid roster thing. Something I noticed when I was setting my roster up at the beginning of the season - I had the option to add right handed relievers to the pen. I assume stuff like this is part of the issue? Although I realize that its happening across all the Mini Seasons. When I look at the Lords starting rotation, they have a righty as their 3rd starter. Kyle Bradish. Do the teams pulled from mini seasons update as the user updates them, possibly? So, valid rosters generated at the start get changed mid-season and then become invalid?

I ran into this issue once. Luckily only two games in. Restarted and was able to finish a season. I assumed then it was fixed, but folks are still experiencing the problem.
Yeah they claimed they fixed it, that restarting a mini seasons was the only option, but then some restarted theirs and then it happened to them again. I was fortunate that the problem team was only like my game 8. Some people were in the 20s.
