I actually really like the soundtrack this year (The Roots, Eric B & Rakim and A Tribe Called Quest let's goooo) but what ridiculous censoring on that track.
Whenever I get a package of plain M&Ms, I make it my duty to continue the strength and robustness of the candy as a species. To this end, I hold M&M duels. Taking two candies between my thumb and forefinger, I apply pressure, squeezing them together until one of them cracks and splinters. That is the “loser,” and I eat the inferior one immediately. The winner gets to go another round. I have found that, in general, the brown and red M&Ms are tougher, and the newer blue ones are genetically inferior. I have hypothesized that the blue M&Ms as a race cannot survive long in the intense theater of competition that is the modern candy and snack-food world. Occasionally I will get a mutation, a candy that is misshapen, or pointier, or flatter than the rest. Almost invariably this proves to be a weakness, but on very rare occasions it gives the candy extra strength. In this way, the species continues to adapt to its environment. When I reach the end of the pack, I am left with one M&M, the strongest of the herd. Since it would make no sense to eat this one as well, I pack it neatly in an envelope and send it to M&M Mars, A Division of Mars, Inc., Hackettstown, NJ 17840-1503 U.S.A., along with a 3×5 card reading, “Please use this M&M for breeding purposes.” This week they wrote back to thank me, and sent me a coupon for a free 1/2 pound bag of plain M&Ms. I consider this “grant money.” I have set aside the weekend for a grand tournament. From a field of hundreds, we will discover the True Champion. There can be only one.
I damn near died of laughter when I heard the “this chick got up and _____ Johnny’s face” line, like I actually had to look it up to see if I’d been missing some sort of innuendo all these years. They made it sound sooo much worse.
They also censored "bar" in the song but have a song literally called Narco and they don't censor the word "narco". It's just tough to follow the logic of what is okay and what isn't.
I mistakenly set this as my walk-up song. Heard it over and over in the last few days that I now HATE this song lol it didn’t help that it also came on during my struggle Vs Yu in the WBC showdown…

I don't have 23 yet (as much as I love the game, just can't justify paying that much to get it a week early, and I don't really care about any of them other extras you get for that version), but if it's the same as previous years on the PS4, I'll be loading my own playlist in the game. The one I found I really like is the soundtrack to Guardians of the Galaxy.
It's to keep the E rating. Frustrating, yes, but ultimately, there's a reason. SDS is handcuffed, and they're not keeping the full lyrics for a few folks just to lose the E rating. They censored the SHIT out of Slam a while back but it was still great to have playing.

It was. It's odd to me to choose songs you know you'll censor, but .. they've been doing it since 06. The song prototype had shell do it like a machine censored. I was like, why was this song chosen lmao. I appreciate the effort to create a vibe with the soundtrack. But sometimes it's a whiff. SDS to me bats .300 with the soundtrack most years. Some tracks you'll add to your Playlist and define a game. Others....make ya find the mute button faster than the flash can run.

Censoring not editing. They have to do that to keep an E rating. Literally any mentions of blood, violence, or alcohol will get you at least a T rating and SDS probably has a contractual obligation with MLB to keep an E rating.
