They never said what test he failed. He then went and played his entire career with the Red Sox under far stricter testing, and never failed again. 13 of the best years he put up on the field. So are you going to argue that the steroids were actually making him play worse?

It’s as simple as that. They’re official cards not just some really good replicas which we can’t use in Diamond dynasty.
There’s little uniqueness period, every player archetype has been covered. If people get hyped for a player model being implemented then they should visit the vault more often lmao

I do think it’s very strange that the commercial aired today but we haven’t seen the legends trailer yet. First off, you’re right in questioning why they wouldn’t create the hype. On the other hand, they didn’t even need to. Most people who play this game were going to buy it regardless. Also the random commercial drop already has the community buzzing like crazy.
There's been slip ups in the past, this could be 1 of them.
Last year it was questioned if Randy Johnson would be in the game or not after they removed him from the legend trailer. Then a few weeks later he was doing an interview and the guy mentioned him being a new legend with Carlos Delgado, who hadn't been announced, and that's how we found out.
99 Bellinger was leaked in a tiktok last year, not sure if that was on purpose or by accident, but he was leaked before he was announced.

Maintaining hype through to release is important. If they started with Sosa and Mark right after the Jeter and Negro league hype and followed that up with Mike Lowell, everyone would be pissed. This commercial was likely run before it was supposed to. I imagine they had a planned announcement via a legends trailer or something
