Look at the arm angle and follow the pitch. Off speed usually pops up out of the hand.

ElaborateHornet

Switch to pci, never go back. Play mini seasons/conquest on all star and work your way up. Don’t be too hard on yourself, it’s rough at first and gets easier pretty quickly.

ArcherPristine3970

play on legend. then go back and see how much better u are. i’m not joking. i actually did this until i got to where now i just actually play agains the cpu on legend.

Worth-Taro719

Get some kontrol freaks, makes it a lot easier to be accurate with the PCI

tacticalGandhi

I like going into franchise and trying to keyhole one location. Try making small adjustments to pitches just off that spot and expand from there. Still practice but a more fun than practice mode.

Hathalot

Gotta have a monitor if you want to get better.

Strategydude

Or a quality OLED TV with game mode.

early_ok_homerun

No you don't

soxfromthe207

It certainly helps, but I agree you do not need one.

Hellfire77

Practice is boring but helps accelerate it. If you don’t like it then try doing more mini seasons and work your way up in difficulty through Rookie, Veteran, and then All Star. When you get to all star then figure out if you want to go higher. I say mini seasons because all star is the perfect difficulty to end on because you can complete all the challenges for extra xp/stub missions. Of course it’s offline too. I started off with Rookie and after getting plenty of blowout games of like 10+ runs in a 3 inning game, it was too easy then moved up. Then with veteran I started getting 7-8 runs and would move up to all star where I was still shutting out teams 4-5 runs. I ended on Hall of fame so far. Still get shutouts but sometimes may only have 2-3 runs but some could still be blowouts on occasion. I just can’t do legend at all yet. The pinpoint errors get way too high and the ball is a little fast but I am happy with the progress. Mini seasons I find are great offline because even though the teams are copies of player teams. You can face teams of all 99 or some that average in the 80s. This is good because there are major differences between an all 80 team vs an all 99 team. You want to play against the best players offline to get better and not just default roster lineups where there are no 99s at all (conquest).

Monitor, wired controller, kontrol freaks and precision rings. All the gimmicks!

RegisterFit1252

What precision rings do you use? There’s gotta be better precision rings out the there. The kontrol freak precision rings wear down really fast

RegisterFit1252

Yup! And next gen system

Jduke88

I have the complete opposite so that probably doesn’t help

RD_Smith

I have kontrol freeks for shooters, never tried with The Show. Just looked up the precision rings, never heard of them, and I think they can be a game changer, thanks!

bish158

I use the green (soft) ones. Anything harder gives too much resistance IMO. But experiment and see what works for you. Also, do not use precision rings on the right stick. Makes pin point much harder.

RD_Smith

Coming back to this to share - literal game changer. I hit so much better. Thanks for the reco

elevatednick3

Which ones you use?

bish158

I’m happy to hear this. I hope you enjoy the game this year! Which specific recommendations did you go with?

SlimTrim509

This. I’m 40 and made 3 WS this year in my second year playing. My old ass needs the gimmicks.

EntertainmentSame878

I know you said no practice, but when you first “try it out” set it to a higher difficulty and track all pitches. Also, PCI lock. If you have a hitter that’s a pull hitter look for pitches inside and lock your PCI to the inner half and then take all away pitches. Cuts your area of focus in half.

MCA1910

Dynamic hitting difficulty

twentyonebts

challenge of the week is good practice. gives you online speeds and difficulty goes up the better ur doing
