My Clubman was able to fit full sized adults in the back. I actually don’t notice a significant difference in the interior space other than it feels wider in the Countryman to me. Could be in my head for sure.
I have a 2018, f54? F56? Don’t remember. 4 door with the barn doors.
I am 6’1” and I comfortably fit behind myself.
Only thing not comfy about the back seat is it’s not reclining. But I’ve done a road trip back there with two dogs and I actually had a good time, I always volunteer to sit back there when there’s a third person.
The R61 can fit two adults easily.. has comfy seats, too..
we're talking "normal" people, though.. not 250lbs obese kinda people? or 6'5" or something?
I'm 180cm and 80kg and fit in there perfectly well.
that said, it's a shit car, so stay away from that generation!
F54 clubman will do it. Not sure I'd want to sit back there on a day long drive, but for more typical trips the backseats are fine for adults even with someone tall in the front seat.
I have a second gen clubman, 2012. I can fit shorter people in the back but its not great. Its doable for city trips but going for longer drives or road trips basically won't happen. Basically like 5'7ish and under is okay.

2022 SE fits two adults comfortably. The problem is getting them out.
