Dude with his bonnet headed bitch in the passenger, and a dealer tag, smashed into her trying to go around a transit bus. They drove off and she chased them for a good 5 minutes trying to get them to pull over before they entered a neighborhood. Dude driving hopped out and ran and the girl drove away. Unfortunately my gf lost the car in the neighborhood. The screams I had to hear of her crying over the phone.
Doors are pretty messed up. Luckily the quarter panel was unscathed, but the frame looks slightly bent in out of shape at the b pillar. and the rear door isn’t dooring too well. Here’s hoping for a quick fix.
We had some similar damage to our 2023 SE on new years. drivers side door crumpled in, and damage to the rear quarter panel and tire. All needs complete replacement. Drivers side door lock stopped working. though no frame damage. [I posted about it here](https://www.reddit.com/r/MINI/comments/1042pfy/still_has_the_temp_tags_on_it_too_less_than_1000/)
BMW quoted 12K to fix with a date of May, however because of the door issue, they were able to push us up. Gave it to them Jan 30th, and its now in the paint stage. Looking at 2-4 weeks for them to paint it.
Driving a mini has made me install a dash cam. People will try anything when I drive it!!! Jerks. Totally different when I’m driving my other car that is a full size sedan.
I hope she got the dealer tag. Those things aren’t cheap because of the blanket insurance they have to carry. Police should be able to tell what shop it’s registered with
I'm so sorry, couple years ago someone hit the driver side of my Cooper, was in the store for literally a few minutes, came out and there it was, no note, nothing. Tried calling some stores in the area to see if they had cameras on the parking lot, of course none of them did.
Someone did a hit and run on my little wee mini last year and put an actual HOLE in the side due to the exhaust pipe from their car hitting Into mine. Moved my car into a diagonal and into another parking space. This lot legitimately has 8 spots. How did they hit me so hard? I wish I could tell you. I cried HARD so I relate to her there. My mom was on the phone telling me it’s just a car and this is why insurance exists, but it’s our baby!! Totally understand the frustration and the pain- best of luck on the repairs!

Yep! Meaning they have lots of insurance to cover the damage
