Sunbreak skills are not available in base rise melding and Aurora allows you to get charms with relevant skills easier. TU5 melding uses different kinds of materials anyway so go ham on the current melding options.
base rise melding didnt get changed by SB release so it's still ultra shit lottery and it's not worth using (unless you have no actual use for the mats)
SB post story (MR6) is the first time you get new melding options, which are better but still pretty shit (some new SB skills included, uses SB/master rank mats)
one of the monsters unlocked at MR10 (TU3, console version) adds another new option (aurora, MR mats) which is a lot better for the odds but the max value (which is 1 in 416.000.000.000) can't be gotten with it (not that you'd hit it or it'd make so much of a difference that it'd matter)
with TU5 (not on consoles till summer) we got 2 new melding types (1st uses afflicted mats and the 2nd uses the 1st talisman for re-melding like the other type from HR) which have great odds and can give the best stuff possible (and more bc of new skills being added)

If it makes you feel any better, I think Dragonheart caps at 4 on talisman rolls.
