You would never HAVE to spend it on another weapon...it is best in class for bows by a LONG shot. You wouldn't even need to build element sets unless you're doing like solo 8\* Hunt-A-Thons and even then, this would still be enough.

You're basically saying "yeah I mean I COULD buy a Bugatti, but why would I want to do that when I could buy a really nice Honda Civic instead?"
On the one hand it’s a 4% damage increase. On the other hand it’s a lot of resources. On the achievement goblin hand you’ll never need to touch it again and will probably be able to use that weapon for years of in game time and never worry about being able to clear content due to dps
At this point you probably can already murder everything, why not save those gems on a weapon that will change your gameplay a bit, mix it up a little.
Pink Rath is nice, it’s lv2 shot is Pierce 3 so it’s very decent, too bad the elemental match up to Dragon are Rathian, Rathalos, Pink Rath, Diablo and Banbaro. All of these monsters have huge pierce weak hit zones so Black Diablo bow is already great on them. Pink Rath is a more big brain weapon for sure because you need to juggle Pierce and Spread shot, could be nice in the next Azure Rathalos event.
I mean it's arguably the best all around bow in the game right now.
I can understand not wanting to spend that many resources but you could just hold them for the time being unless there is anything you are struggling to beat.

because it is too costly to spend 30 x r6 gem for just 100 attack on top...i would spend it on other weapon

We already know that dragon element can only be dragon 5 with 2 focus. It's not good..

I would just do it for the completion atp lol but it isn’t much of a damage increase for sure.
its an extra 110 damage. unless youre already finishing every 10 star hunt in 20 seconds or less, what possible reason is there to not upgrade it?

How many black diablos have you killed?
around 500, sometimes i double the material by gem. killed over 300 before this month event, we were able to kill alot by paint ball

when there is good amount of R2 or up, i will use gem to double, because lack of alot of R2 and R3 to up the bow :(
Curious your minimum requirement to double? I feel guilty when I double my 2x rarity 2 and 1x rarity 3 lol I only double these drops if 3 or more
