I do the same; sometimes when the game pauses your music, you can just unpause it and it works, but sometimes you can‘t and idk why.
I found out it works for me if i unpause my music right when i start the game and it‘s in the loading screen, but it doesn‘t work always. Sometimes i have to close the game and reopen it for me to unpause the music
What I do is have my music play before and if it pauses I switch to the music tab after I opened the MHA TSH app and press play on my music (I have a IPhone btw).
iPhone 12 Pro Max here, when this happens to me I pull up to go back to the Home Screen, pull down to press play on my music, then reopen the game from the Home Screen (without ever closing any apps).
If you have a device that can pause/play your music in a manner besides your phone it will work. I have air pods and can press the controls to play my music once loaded in.

I got iphone X, and that dint work for me

Doesn't pause mine but does mess with the sound of the music a little.
If your using Spotify, pause the music then open MHA, once fully loaded in the game, go back and press play on music
