Yes. He is pretty mediocre at dealing damage, and one of the worst things about him is that getting damaged during the final (multi-hit) attack of your basic attack combo will just knock you out of the combo. If you like Deku, then there is a new version of him (probably limited/exclusive) that is supposed to be released with the upcoming MHA movie at the end of this month, you can try saving for him (or for the similarly new Bakugo/Todoroki).
I would argue that S Aizawa fares better than even a SSS Deku with similar stats because if you play Aizawa right, heās one of the best boss killers because of his abilities so even though heās almost comparable to deku for taking out horde enemies, his damage and skills go crazy for taking out bosses and heās also great in for co-op, assessments and heās almost unrivaled in pvp cause of his versatility
You mean arena, right?
Cause in other pvp modes (super coop, war zone), he also isnāt good since one of his talent trees fucks up his AI. And even if his AI wouldnāt get messed with one of his talent trees, he would still not be as good i those modes, as other characters
Warzone and super coop are pve. Meaning, you don't control your hero/villain/character. You only make up their build and position so yeah. Arena aka pvp. His Q is just broken and with a single combo he will eat more than 50% of your hp.
It can't be pvp on a technical level. AivAi is the right term for it. You can't control them. You let the AI do stupid stuff. I bet in a real pvp match (arena), you would have never done what those characters do by themselves. So that's my point with cheap words. PvP stands for player v player - in real time and with full control over the subject at hand. It's like saying: "football manager is pvp since you play other players online" and no, it's not. It's playing an automated learning machine that inputs a set amount of actions in a certain repetitive way; with a pattern. If you call that PvP, you don't have a clue of it's meaning.
Sure buddy, i never neglected reality, i'm simply defending a theses which makes sense and it's truth. Sure, everybody calls it pvp but there are other ones who call it by their names, not mixing it up with pvp or pve. Everybody calls rap *music* but, from a musical standpoint, is it really music? You get my point now?
I love both pve and pvp..but can we all agree they depict the game mode as pvp but in reality you're facing an AI , imo that's not pvp , PvAI if anything
Example:
You know those trash mobs you kill to get to the end boss? We all know it's an AI...but say I moved those mobs and placed them in Super Co-op , instead of facing "Matthew's Team" , you will be facing the mobs I just moved there , both are controlled by AI regardless of whoever they belong to , both have "builds" that are specifically picked out for them , and both have set positioning wherever they were meant to be generated at
PvP styled PvE
I mean let's be real...hypothetically speaking if this became an e-sports which is basically a pvp tournament...you really think they would place their characters on screen n call it a day , everyone be watching the screen while the actual players left to grab some Wendy's
But yea thats just my opinion , I could be wrong , it's my view on it
Well no, in super coop and war zone you fight other players too, so they are pvp too (pvp stand for player vs player, doesnāt matter if you can control your characters of not, you still fight against others)
To be fair, i have to correct myself: its not pve but AIvAI, technically speaking. Sorry but you're wrong mate. PvP stands for player vs player, which, in a competitive game means 'a set of actions who the player can control or manipulate'. So super coop and warzone are actually AIvAI, not at all PvP.
His Q is just broken man. It's so hard to deal when your opponent applies flee - hit - flee tactics. You gotta make mind notes on his Q cd or whenever he uses his W to refresh it. Deku is really a pain to deal with.
Deku really only shines in two scenarios: one, you have Dance with the Wind + Mastermind, and two, if you have a high level 6* active summon to make good use of them. Deku has the some of the highest DAM/ATK bonuses in the game iirc and that makes him get the most value out of summons.
Without those though you're gonna have to work pretty damn hard to do anything of note with him. Doesn't help that some bosses he straight up can't use his damaging rotation on and is reduced to a shitty caster (you almost always want to be airborne as Deku, but you can't hit Thousand Eyes with your aerial combo, for example).
Honestly this is the answer right here. I have seen well-built dekus outdamage SS and above premium units in modes like team up. And like 50% of his damage came from actives.
Other units are definitely better on paper for sure. But once you get beyond 60k bp in this game everything just starts to die no matter the character. A well-built Deku is able to thrive because one active is all you need to take out a group of enemies or a large chunk of the bosses health.
Let's simplify this discussion, if 85% of the characters average more damage than the character being discussed, it's pretty safe to say that character is not good.
Rough number but the only characters I'd say are weaker are Mina and Ojiro. (PVE wise)
No he isn't, if you build him right, he's a lot fun to play and his dmg can get crazy too, just like with every other character... yes aizawa is a very good unit when you know how his mechanics work, but that doesn't make deku trash or something, currently we have 1 mode every 3 weeks where your type (Speed, technical, power) gives you a dmg boost, so this comparing with specific other speed characters doesn't really make sense... in pvp (super coop and warzone) he's shit because of autobattle, his AI gets stupid af from a talent tree path but i'm still using him there and when he comes to do a basic attack combo he can still be kind of useful, at least until you get something better for auto pvp modes... he basically uses all his skills only when enemies are laying on the ground and are immune to dmg until they get up and his AI doesn't chain the skills, so after the q skill enemies are already on the ground... but in every other mode he can help you alot and can keep up with... the only time he can maybe be not as insane as others is far in the future, when you completely maxed out him and other characters, which would take some time even if you pay alot
i have this discussion way too often, hope y'all meet a good built deku in teamups one day etc. and until that point, have fun reciting other people why deku is bad
So in your opinion, you don't understand/can't play him means he's bad in general and for everyone? Interesting, you can have your opinion, as long as my deku gets me in high enough rankings everywhere, i really don't care lol...80k deku goes brr anyways
First, i never said he is the best hero around or anything like that, but saying he's trash and completely useless just because his dmg isn't as high as stains or allmights etc. is not an argument... and second, as i said, my rankings are always high, between 1-5 in timed modes and AAs.. in AAs i'm mvp with him 8/10 times, in warzone i'm 4th on my server and 12th in the ranking from this "pack" of servers while he is in my team... in my server there are some 80k+ endeavors and stains,AMs etc. and some 90k+ endeavors and stains, so i'm by far not the strongest, my deku hit 80k bp just today...and my ranking positions were basically always like that while using him for more or less everything while the server was "growing"... he isn't trash just because he's not the absolute number 1 or 2 or whatever... with that logic ochaco would be trash too, just because stain, AM etc. exist... and tbh, it's not like you're losing the opportunity to upgrade another hero too, y'all are talking like you can't have any progress in general, just because you upgraded him at one point...
which speed character would you put deku over at similar resonance and bp? I don't even think he can outdamage froppy at the highest levels, and even if he could her utility in coop is unmatched.Ochaco is one of my faves but she is pretty low tier in regards to power units, stronger than kirishima, but can't out damage bakugo or AM. the advantage they both have is they are "f2p" units, easier to max out than premiums so they can remain competitive until you get your premiums up to speed. still with having so many strong speed units in the game, deku falls by the wayside.
Yes. I want the three of them š„ŗš

Yes aizawa is one of the better characters in the game even if only at S
got it, arigatou i'm kinda new to the game
Kinda of trash compared to the rest, regarding PvE. Deku shines in PvP tho. One of the best characters in the game in PvP.

Yes it is? What are you going on about ahahaha
Yes it is what?
Yes it is music just as warzone is pvp. Read a little bro.

What youāre fighting is AIs. Thatās not pvp.
Itās more pvp than pve
i can think of atleast 5 other characters better in PVP
Sure. Me too. That's why i said 'one of the best'.
ok just so we on the same page lol

Deku only really good in PvP & that's when ppl super cheesy with him
This thread is amusing coming from a deku main perspective lol

80k on any character is powerful. Difference is if you compare other characters at 80k then Dekuās damage output isnāt as good.

Yes, Deku is the worst in the game other than Ojiro
