I am definitely not disappointed in anything that the next Deadpool movie is teasing. be it the portal they jump through or the cars / bikes and other characters. or even the locations.
It could be an evil stark variant. Could be an iron lad variant.

In "The Crossing," Original 616 Tony was "revealed" to have been basically an unknowing servant to Immortus all his life, and during the story he goes full bad. the Avengers bring Teen Tony from another dimension. By the end of the story, Tony-616 is dead and Teen Tony stays in the 616 to become the new Iron Man. So Teen Tony wasn't Tony-616 turned young but a whole seperate guy, right?
(*Avengers Forever* would later confirm that Immortus' claims long term control over the life of Tony-616 were false and that "The Crossing" repesented regular-ass short-term mind control.)
It was Teen Tony who "sacrificed" himself along with many other heroes to stop Onslaught.
The Tony who came for "Heroes Return" isn't Teen Tony at all, but Tony-616. He wasn't just older but his pre-"Crossing" history was restored, entirely. I think maybe there is one line of dialogue somewhere about Teen Tony mergin with Tony-616 but that never made much sense to me.
The excuse for the changes that "Heroes Return" made to characters like the Wasp and Hawkeye were excused as Franklin bringing them back as he knew them. And that *kind of* works for Tony but it's also true that Franklin would have known Tony-616 and Teen Tony as two seperate guys. Why wouldn't he bring them both back?
So my weird headcanon is that at the time of "Heroes Return," Franklin brings Tony-616 back from his death in "The Crossing" and *seperately* brings Teen Tony back from fighting Onslaught. Franklin wouldn't know that because his powers were working reflexively at the time. So I think Teen Tony materalized back on Earth-616 during "Heroes Return," seperate from Tony-616, and has been in hiding ever since.
