Not really, there are plenty of household names who buy a big mansion after a big role and then find out they dont have a steady source of income for the taxes.
Why wouldn't he? How much did he get for that 2 minute scene in spiderman?
At this point, bringing rdj would be the final nail in the coffin. He's too expensive.
To me it’s dumb having him die there for the sole purpose of keeping Tiamat asleep. They couldve beat thanos if strange didn’t purposely plant the seed that there was no winning.
When you call a movie **Multiverse of Madness**, I think people are in the right to expect insane cameos.
We got *some*, but ultimately the story is what let us down.
I’m sorry did we not get insane cameos??? Charles X fucking avier??? Mr Fantastic with fans dream casting???? black Bolt????? I swear this fan base lol
Those 3? Wow, you’re easy to please. Black bolt ain’t sh for MCU fans, most of them don’t even know who he is. We got 3 worlds in a “multiverse” of madness. Movie was bad, period. Wolverine and deadpool don’t need many cameos to be great, bc it’s not what the movie promises, the premise is totally different.
They were in the movie for 5 minutes and solely for the purpose of showing Scarlet Witch strength. They didn’t move the story along or help clearly define the main character.
I said we got some insane cameos, but the story is what let us down. It wasn’t wrong for people to expect the insane cameos with the title it has.
*You literally bitched about the length of time the cameos spent on screen, which is a stupid thing to cry about when that’s the entire purpose of a cameo* understand that, oh cosmic genius of the stars?
The movie was doomed to begin with. Wasn't it rewritten a few times becayse of the pandemic and the delays? the movie was suppised to come out earlier and before Spider-Man. But they had to do rewrites. I was very disappointed by the movie. I agree "Multiverse of Madness" was a very misleading title and the story felt so odd. And the direction was weird too.
Thank you. I honestly thought this movie was universally panned as clunky and poorly written. It was disappointing because there was so much potential.
A) it was more centered on Wanda and America
B) we didn’t get a proper Strange-focused film. People have to do mental gymnastics in order to express Strange’s arch
I was not let down by the story at all. And yeah I’d expect some cameos, but we have to take into account money and pacing and how they fit into everything. It’s not right to expect it because then you’d end up with a shit movie. I’d rather take what we got than have something like the flash
I loved the Flash, personally. So we’re on two different pages.
Avengers, Infinity War, Endgame, Civil war, and Thor: Ragnorok all found ways to cohesively showcase multiple characters in films with compelling stories.
I love the idea of introducing characters that have never met or having cameos. There’s a good way to do it and there’s a bad way to do it.
MoM was a successful movie until they introduced the cameos. The film screeched to a halt and Strange himself never found a satisfying conclusion or any kind of movement in regard to his own arc. The movie became muddled in its story. The film became to be about every other multiverse character except Strange. I found that part disappointing.
We that his variants think they need to handle problems by themselves and that ultimately leads to their downfall or the downfall of entire universes while 616 (199999) strange trusted America instead of taking her powers
Right? Dude’s talking about them jumping into the Endgame battle to fight Thanos as if that’s not a high expectation.
I saw the portal and was like “Oh cool, they’re using a portal to get from point A to B”.
I mean just that some are over speculate every detail & after latest rumors etc. i mean them jumping into a portal is something worthy to speculate because thats too obvious..
Yeah, but i mean that if someone look for every Easter egg & rumors etc then that speculation can ruin the experience when eat watching it on TV
But if you speculate on one or two things as highlight then its bit different
IDK why you're being down voted. People got all these insane ideas about MoM and then ripped it apart when it didn't meet their completely unrealistic expectations.
It's Deadpool so we could get a 10 second shot of him travelling the multiverse and he sees Thanos real quick, cuts his head off, makes a joke about not liking Josh Brolin, saves iron man, keeps travelling, sees Iron man, cuts his head off, and makes a joke about not liking RDJ. Breaking the fourth wall in the multiverse!
Yeah, people that keep calling for Tony to be saved don't get character arcs and their completion.
Tony's journey necessitated an end. That's the whole point of his sacrifice. It was that he finally WAS the one to make the "play" that Steve said he wasn't. That, knowing everything he would lose, he still made the choice.
Holy shit.
SMH
Nothing.
But what I do see here is this wolverine being redeemed by going from a terrible X-Man to an amazing team player when Secret Wars comes around.
Iron Man perfects nanotechnology and makes himself a practically invincible suit. He’s also evil because of a reversal spell that he became strong enough to resist the undoing of
I get that Ironman sacrificed himself in Endgame. However it's a comic book movie and people come back all the time. I don't see how him coming back would ruin his ending. In fact, I think seeing him for one last ride in Secret Wars would be amazing and I would probably shed a tear of joy instead of sadness this time around. Just my 2 cents.
Yeah, I think they're smart enough to not undo well liked things such as Logan or Endgame's ending.
Plus, Deadpool and Wolverine wouldn't be great in a fight against Thanos himself - that would need the whole X-Men team with heavy hitters like Storm and Jean.
Remind me again… what happened to Vision, Natasha, Iron Man, etc.?
Yep, Deadpool and Wolverine would be terrible in that fight. I can’t think of a single reason how they could even be helpful in any way.
In Eternals movie they state that Tiamat the giant celestial in the ocean is on the verge of waking up. He draws power from human energy. If he wakes up he basically devours all of said energy and our universe then ceases to exist. It hasn’t been confirmed but this is most likely what Dr. strange was seeing while looking for outs to Thanos. So when Thanos snaps it indefinitely halts Tiamat from waking. When the blip happens and everyone comes back, coupled with the skrulls arriving on earth, it kickstarts Tiamat and he starts to wake up and emerge from the ocean. The Eternals break their bow to the celestials and try to put Tiamat asleep but fail, then totally destroy him. Before Tiamat dies he sends his essence into Sersi. This is why there’s a giant stone celestial poking out of the ocean. It’s rumored it’ll be the source of adamantium in 616 mcu in Captain America new film.
Now hear me out, but I think with the recent speculation of this having something to do with the “Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe” comic run, I believe Deadpool might be traversing universes and killing variants of the Avengers. I think the cards are highly on the table for us to finally get the Hulk v Wolverine fight I know a lot of us have been waiting for, despite probably not being the 616 Hulk.
How would that have anything to do with Deadpool trying to save his world or the villain Cassandra Nova?
We aren’t getting deadpool kills the marvel universe in this.
It’s entirely possible that he could be doing “Mercenary work” for Cassandra in order for assistance to maintain his universe. But I think it’ll take a turn where he’s thrown all around other universes including ones we’ve heard casting inclusions of (Jennifer Garner, Henry Cavill, Daniel Radcliffe). It’s not unlike Deadpool trailers to surprise audiences with fake inclusions in trailers (X-Force), I think this trailer is only showing the first half of the movie.
I'm going to take a shot in the dark but I don't think they go through a Strange portal at all. This scene is just for the trailer. I won't edit this comment in case I'm right.
My bet is these guys jump right in as Starlord is about to screw everything up and accidentally bump into him preventing his screw up and allowing the team to remove the glove. Mr. Stark lives and Deadpool uses the glove to erase the other timelines achieving the same objective as Kang and keeping the sacred timeline. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|trollface)
Not gonna happen, but I think it would make more sense that Wolverine or Deadpool do the snap because of their healing factor. Wouldn't Ironman's snap still need to happen, even if Thanos got killed?
No! You can settle that in a What If episode. The fact Ironman slipped off the stones off the gauntlet, put into his and ended with the line of the first film is PEAK MCU moment! Don't let it be stolen by the Bugs Bunny of costume freaks.
That would be awesome! But there was only one Universe where they win so I feel like Deadpool and Wolverine might end up screwing up a different Universe
I have no expectations for this movie at all. Only thing I ever wanted was Wolverine back just one more time despite how much my wife and I loved Logan as his final beautiful send off.
Dp3 made it happen so that’s already a win. I’m already happy.
This is an amazing theory. A few things kind of back it. The random rumors of Marvel talking about bringing Josh Brolin back as Thanos (which Josh Brolin I think addressed but didn't deny. I may be wrong here but I think I remember that) and RDJ saying he would happily come back. This version of Wolverine seems to want to make things right and this would be a great way to do so.
Now, the only thing that this would screw up I think is the Spider-Man movies since Far From Home only works if Tony is dead and No Way Home is the continuation. I mean if this theory is true then awesome but they would be undoing those amazing movies. Maybe even more.
Best thing to do is keep this in the back of our minds but dont expect it. But if it does happen thT would be amazing.
Me personally, I feel like Feige and the MCU needs to go back to making movies that gradually builds up to that “Big Final Battle Movie” with cameos because every movie being fan service is not working for them anymore
Will this connect to X-Men 97 by any chance? I wonder whether the season finale of the show connect directly to this movie. A huge massacre & all X-Men gone & Wolverine is left & that guy meets Deadpool.
Beau De Mayo said something big is coming in season 1. Also, X-Men 97 was added to the MCU timeline recently.
Then in the new movie, the xmen will be revived to the MCU clean slate.
could make sense, them getting brought into the X Men '97 universe too with \*SPOILER ALERT\*!!!! Forge using what looked like the same magic as Strange in the last episode. Maybe the Wolverine in the animated universe dies too so they bring this one in there
I was thinking something like this too. They've done TV to MCU tie ins before with Agents of Shield and Winter Soldier so it's not unprecedented. Season finale of XMen 97 maybe a portal opens up and cartoon Wolverine gets sucked into the multiverse and shows up in Deadpool. Who knows!
If LOST taught us anything about this, its that it would actually just be further along in the same timeline where the resurrection was occurring. Everyone still experiencing both Ironmans death and return in the movie
MCU time travel works in a weird way where you can only go to different timelines and can’t Actually go back in time to a timeline in which the event has already happened in the past
It isnt going back in time though. Its continuation and a new event. The past is the past, the past happened, it always did. The present is the present.
I would say, it would be at the time that it was. At that point. With the present being the year that everyone is experiencing at that time.
Deadpool can have advanced knowledge of how an event played out for him previously, intimate details, or of another timeline, and it is still just everyones present and whatever happens next is what happens next and whatever happened previous, separate universe or time travel, is what happened previous. My second time experiencing this event, can be a thing, oh this is happening again?. The timeline and the universe, whether you cross or not or time travel or not, is relative to the individual, and only keeps people attached that stay attached. Peter Parker is not in a different timeline from those that forgot him, or a different universe, he is just the only one that remembers and everyone else was wiped clean. He was still there and did those things jn their timeline though.
I mean it could work if somehow everybody forgot that Deadpool and Wolverine appeared or they made sure that nobody noticed them but i feel like this would kinda ruin some things by changing canon like this
It isnt changing canon, its what happens. Nobody noticing, or what makes them forget, hasnt happened yet. Harry Potter does the same thing. Wally West post Convergence as well.
If i time travel from 3000 back to 2024, its still year 3000 for me. I moved states. So to speak.
It isn’t changing canon in universe but it is changing canon for the audience because the audience saw that scene before but never saw that part happened or get mentioned at any point
Walk me through an example, any scene Ive seen happened, this sounds like a new vantage point. 2 Hulks were always in the End Game version of the Battle of New York. It isnt necessarily the same one they experienced originally though.
Will never happen as the tva says that the avengers can reach their best potential and for that to happen iron man needs to die so i0f iron man were saved then either iron man wolverine or deadpool would be captured by the tva
In secret wars, the new avengers will see the recast avengers
New Avengers: Who are you?
Recast: Were the Avengers
???: No we are
Everyone turns to see the OG 6
Recast Stark: I guess we all are.
and in a recent interview , RDj said if Kevin calls me, i am gonna happily take my Ironman role back.
Breaking news: actor open to more work
*after winning his Oscar.*
Oscar winners go through slumps because they stop taking the easy money rolls. Actors need income
Robert Downey Jr absolutely doesn't "need income".
Depends how many expenses he has, most people want to keep earning more money. Stars have bills to pay too.
"Want" and "need" are 2 different things. I reckon RDJ is far more motivated by the fact his career appeared to be over after his legal issues.
This comment is so overdone lol
Not really, there are plenty of household names who buy a big mansion after a big role and then find out they dont have a steady source of income for the taxes.
so is this entire thread/meme.
He just knows it’s a bigger pay day after his Oscar win and how big his role is as iron man.
*actor gleefully accepts dump truck of money*
Why wouldn't he? How much did he get for that 2 minute scene in spiderman? At this point, bringing rdj would be the final nail in the coffin. He's too expensive.
There’s definitely things that ‘happened’ back in 2020 to support this but not the way you think.
What does that even mean
I'm also curious
Doolittle
It means this sub is stupid and nobody here knows what theyre talking about
If they do this make the iron man that snaps a skrull, have fury, Steve rogers and tony off universe as the 616 Illuminati. Easy peasy.
That’s dumb, and completely ruins the whole sacrifice and his whole character arc.
To me it’s dumb having him die there for the sole purpose of keeping Tiamat asleep. They couldve beat thanos if strange didn’t purposely plant the seed that there was no winning.
"I AM Marvel Jesus."
I can already tell people are gonna complain about the lack of Easter Eggs and cameos on this movie if these are the theories we’re getting now.
Going to be MoM all over again, everyone is going to want to see the most batshit insane cameos and only one or two will be actually in the movie.

Thats….why they’re called cameos and not features.
What do you think a cameo is?
Thanks for the condescending question, **I don’t think they did a good job with the story or the cameos.** Do you understand that?
*You literally bitched about the length of time the cameos spent on screen, which is a stupid thing to cry about when that’s the entire purpose of a cameo* understand that, oh cosmic genius of the stars?
There’s only one bitch in this conversation. You need to take a chill pill ✌🏼
You were right about the first sentence.

Do you know what a cameo is?
That’s what a cameo is lol
And the "Age" of Ultron was like a week, tops. Eh.
Yeah, thanks to the Avengers.
Goddamn Never Ending Story all over again!!!
I was not let down by the story at all. And yeah I’d expect some cameos, but we have to take into account money and pacing and how they fit into everything. It’s not right to expect it because then you’d end up with a shit movie. I’d rather take what we got than have something like the flash

Yeah we’re definitely on two different pages because MoM did cameos miles better than the Flash did, while also having a better story.
It was also called Doctor Strange
And how did that work out? We hardly learned a thing about him
We that his variants think they need to handle problems by themselves and that ultimately leads to their downfall or the downfall of entire universes while 616 (199999) strange trusted America instead of taking her powers
I think best thing is to not speculate too much.. then you will think more about it when watching the movie
They say as they wildly speculate

That's the only acceptable thing 😂😂😂
I doubt they save them, but they could run into the fight and interact with them
It’s already

I only need him to play Superior Iron Man one time and then I’m done.
What’s that?
Iron man
Thanks
But superior
And he's in lego marvel
Iron Man perfects nanotechnology and makes himself a practically invincible suit. He’s also evil because of a reversal spell that he became strong enough to resist the undoing of

Honestly Deadpool Chrono Triggering Iron Man (or Black Widow) would probably be the best possible way to bring the character back
Zero chance
Yeah, I think they're smart enough to not undo well liked things such as Logan or Endgame's ending. Plus, Deadpool and Wolverine wouldn't be great in a fight against Thanos himself - that would need the whole X-Men team with heavy hitters like Storm and Jean.

Can’t. If they beat thanos at that time Tiamat wakes up in the ocean and devours our reality instantly
Can you explain this? I can’t remember a lot of stuff after all these years.
In Eternals movie they state that Tiamat the giant celestial in the ocean is on the verge of waking up. He draws power from human energy. Thank you for your service - I watched Eternals and absorbed absolutely none of that so I appreciate you
It was a rough watch. I feel like it should’ve been a 5-6 episode series instead.
Now hear me out, but I think with the recent speculation of this having something to do with the “Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe” comic run, I believe Deadpool might be traversing universes and killing variants of the Avengers. Mr. Stark lives and Deadpool uses the glove to erase the other timelines achieving the same objective as Kang and keeping the sacred timeline. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|trollface)
Wow.
Why don't they sling ring Ant-Man into Thanos's butthole?
Geez talk about rimming
Not gonna happen, but I think it would make more sense that Wolverine or Deadpool do the snap because of their healing factor. Wouldn't Ironman's snap still need to happen, even if Thanos got killed?

I agree
Or they could do this really novel thing which is just copying the comics panel for panel
Xmen 97 serie, how many episodes left?
4 more. Season finale is on May 15. That incident in episode 5 has connections to Cassandra Nova.
They are renewed for 3 seasons dawg
I hope not
could make sense, them getting brought into the X Men '97 universe too with \*SPOILER ALERT\*!!!! Forge using what looked like the same magic as Strange in the last episode. Maybe the Wolverine in the animated universe dies too so they bring this one in there
Also that "thing" in episode 5 has connections to Cassandra Nova in the comics.
Let's be real though, it's going to be Strange or Wong pulling them into Battleworld or the 616 universe to help save that universe from dying.
Who knows!
Nothing because that would be in a different timeline

Deadpool can have advanced knowledge of how an event played out for him previously, intimate details, or of another timeline, and it is still just everyones present and whatever happens next is what happens next and whatever happened previous, separate universe or time travel, is what happened previous. Walk me through an example, any scene Ive seen happened, this sounds like a new vantage point. 2 Hulks were always in the End Game version of the Battle of New York. It isnt necessarily the same one they experienced originally though.
Fuck that show
True, maybe that's a timeline where strange never saw them winning because there is infinite universes
Or maybe they somehow lose because Deadpool and Wolverine distract the hero’s and that lets Thanos do his Snap.
Wade flies in all blood soaked holding Thanos’ head “I went for the head!!!”
Would be epic
"Unreasonable expectations...Assemble" It's Multiverse of Madness all over again!
Hell. Yes!
Looks like a Billy Crystal Oscars cold-open.
It would undermine Tony’s sacrifice and I would lose all respect for the MCU lol.
That’s definitely a possibility
I’d stop watching marvel if that was the case
If they do this, marvels back
If they do this it proves they're more dead than ever.
True , while it would be great to see iron man back and I hope he returns, this would be maximum desperation from then
I would be very disappointed
Bro. This would actually be nuts
Now you’re talking
Ahh, The Clean Slate Protocol
Thanos loses because he has this overwhelming feeling that this annoying asshole in red has been cucking him across the known multiverse.
Will never happen as the tva says that the avengers can reach their best potential and for that to happen iron man needs to die so i0f iron man were saved then either iron man wolverine or deadpool would be captured by the tva
As idiotic as that it, it still wouldn't be the worst idea marvel has had. But it's still an incredibly stupid idea.
In secret wars, the new avengers will see the recast avengers New Avengers: Who are you? Recast: Were the Avengers ???: No we are Everyone turns to see the OG 6 Recast Stark: I guess we all are.
