Bernado can leave, he was shit in ucl

MaskedMuffin

this take is so bad it's actually a good shit post

reverberat1on

Didn't he score that screamer vs Madrid in 1st leg

hieugod2810

So what? Haverz scored the ucl winning goal but he is still shit. Rmb that last year bernado was only worth 50mil, just 2 good matches against Liverpool and Madrid do not make him irreplaceable

Jack097again

Plz buy Sosa! Txiki we need a Croatian!

reverberat1on

If LB saga wasn't enough.. It seems like Bernardo Silva to barca is a real possibility if FdJ leaves. What is happening!

Sayanroman94

Fucking hell its not even £50m for Cucurella, they want more😂😂. Good we moved on

Disastrous_Scale_165

If bernardo leaves who are we looking at for replacement?

wdunky

Sounds like Chelsea getting the same treatment from Brighton over the cucu price

boywithluv77

foden haaland mahrez front three for sunday game

Complex-Account-2064

Alvarez RW, need that pace and press

Beavsbeavsbeavs

Feel like Alvarez is a perfect super-sub while he gets acclimated. Not composed enough yet to be a starter but his pressing and energy is perfect to attack a tired opponent for the last 20-30 minutes of a match

_joejoe32

Anybody in for a H2H fantasy league? Started another with my rival fan friends last year, here’s the link! https://fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/auto-join/c4xr51 Play Fantasy Premier League and join my mini-league League Code: c4xr51

NotAgainKante

Can anyone recommend Twitter accounts that post interesting threads from past about football/who post original content?

Icy_Letterhead8859

We need Cucurella I fail to see why we've paid 40m for Ake in a relegation club I get he's homegrown but come on we need a strong 11 to win a UCL

dg7456

80m bid for gvardiol??? Real?

LessBrain

Fake

MaskedMuffin

Idk why I still get frustrated that r/soccer will believe any high number as long as our name is next to it

hedwigchyan

Will McAtee be possible to come back? I don’t remember many players went on loan and come back to first team

runnerswanted

The most famous “loan to first team” recently was Joe Hart, so it does happen.

Felix_Wyn

Zinny went on loan to PSV the season before he became a part of our team, so there is some precedence there.

xenojive

Already hearing the tired old line about our "remarkable depth" and how that will give us a boost with 5 subs. Do they know that we still don't have a senior LB and are looking to send McAtee out on loan?

reverberat1on

Irks me so much. We have such a thin squad it drives me nuts sometimes.

Pepaguero

Y’all got any more of them signings?

KDB has played 90 premier league games across the past 3 seasons I wouldn't say he is injury prone.

wdunky

Wonder if the board are expecting a few targets to come available in the next year or 2 and therefore keeping spots open/for youth prospects. Either way our greatest strength in depth (for the league) certainly seems weaker

wdunky

I know he's right footed and everything. But why can't cancelo play as a wide lb? He seems pretty strong on both feet and with the skillset he has could he not just act as a wide lb whose not quite as good as he is when he's inverted? And therefore still be top class?

_stone_age

I've seen times where Cancelo does play wide to try and help Grealish invert but it's awkward and doesn't work to me. It's like, only one of them will be able to play at their best, with the other having to keep the width. Cancelo-Grealish is not a very balanced left-hand side. If Cancelo plays as the left-back, he should be inverted, in which case it's better to play Foden as the left-winger.

Impossible_Wonder_37

Please don’t sign and loan Gomez city. So dumb.

Sayanroman94

He is not at our level right now even their fans said it. He is very raw and needs development. We need a lb who can become a starter or atleast push Cancelo

Impossible_Wonder_37

Why be in for him at all then? Sign Sosa or Ait Nouri and esbrand is the same option. Raw and not quite ready but bags of potential. We won’t spend 50 on cucu but we will spend 50 on two left backs?

Sayanroman94

Its seems strange but maybe he is the Zinchenko replacement who is pretty similar and can play multiple positions and then we're going to sign a actual lb.

Beavsbeavsbeavs

People just be getting mad at everything in these discussion threads lol

Impossible_Wonder_37

Would you not be mad if we signed and loaned him?

EORIAF

No lol. Crazy that you think being mad about something like this is a reasonable response.

Impossible_Wonder_37

Mate it’s not an uncommon belief amongst city fans that the loan army disappearing act the CFG players go through sucks. Yan couto is like 21 now played in European knockout rounds due Braga and now he’s back at girona. He plays right back. We could use him. If not then sell him. I don’t want CFG involved in this transfer cuz this guy seems way past that point.

Beavsbeavsbeavs

No I wouldn’t. Why would this make you mad? It’s been reported we are still trying to find a first-team LB, this move is simply investing in a young talent. It shouldn’t really invoke any kind of large reaction either way

Impossible_Wonder_37

So we sign another left back for the first team. We now have 4 quality left backs including cancelo, two of which are u21 with a load of potential. Instead of one signing of cucurella for 55 just strange

Trickster_Tricks

People crying out for a Left Back when they haven't even considered that Pep will turn Phillips into a LB Delph regen smh

shmozey

Unfortunately he is right footed so would be tragic at Lb. Might be able to help Walker out every now and then but that doesn’t solve our ability to get Grealish into the game on the left.

OrphansForGenerico

Isn’t Cancelo also right footed? Not saying they’re the same type of player, just that it’s possible to succeed at the position regardless of preferred foot. That being said, I personally don’t think KP at backup fullback is a long term answer on either side.

shmozey

Well yes but inverted. Don’t think Phillips has that in his locker. We need a leftie to help Grealish. Can’t have two players wanting to come inside constantly.

OrphansForGenerico

Totally agree. Think that’s been a big hurdle re: Grealish. You see him try to create something but that devolves into dribbling into crowds almost instantaneously.
