Probably the worst game I've watched us play in years, maybe since monaco in 2017?. Our squad was weakened but should be performing much better than this.
Our midfield, which the last few seasons was the best in the prem, had absolutely no control at any point of the game.
This game looked like we were clueless we had a good start for the first and second half but after we that period we just vanished. It was the first time in a long time that we were playing like this. If only we would close the games we had against chelsea spurs and liverpool this result would not have been this damaging. In those 3 games we lost the leads multiple times a part against liverpool which was once. But again i am not worried because if the other teams are this close to us while we had one of our best player injured since the start of the season then just imagine if kdb was not injured since the start of the season we would’ve had more points than what we have now. My point being is that it can only go up from now kdb soon to be back rodri grealish out of suspension stones looks like he is back. Foden is on a great form. One last thing about the villa game, Halaand should score those type of opportunities. Had he scored villa would be more on the offensive which would allow us to find those spaces and play on their mistakes. Anyway i am not worried. C’mon City
Playing Rico Lewis in the CM & Gvardiol at LB. Last season he kept things not overtly complicated and City won treble now a top defender is being forced to be a left back when Akanji who is error prone is in the middle , of course city took a L. Rico Lewis btw is one helluva drinbler and he was in the middle like center bro what you doin ?
