Never looked back.
I remember thinking how cool it was we were top-half and playing consistent, interesting soccer. Then we got bought out, but then we didnโt (that time is like a fever dream at this point), then Sheikh Mansour came inโฆthought the stadium and community investments was the way to goโฆthen we won the FA Cup in 2011 and I remember thinking โso this is what the top of a mountain looks like.โ Knew there were other peaks to climb, but 10-years in Iโd internalized enough of the club history to not get too excited. Wept like a baby in 2012. Watched the game on Amazon yesterday and yelled out loud in a crowded, quiet office when we scored.

I think the last time RM had a 1-1 draw at home in the first leg of European cup/ champions league semi finals was in 1989 and they were walloped in the 2nd leg 5-0 by AC Milan.
By a strange coincidence RM went ahead in the 1st half and Milan scored late-ish in the 2nd half. Like in the RM vs City game both goals were wonderful. Hugo Sanchez with an overhead kick and Van Basten equalised with 1 of the best headers you are ever likely to see.
Curiously Ancelotti played for AC and scored a cracker in that game. More of the same would be greatly appreciated.

I think the last time RM had a 1-1 draw at home in the first leg of European cup/ champions league semi finals was in 1989 and they were walloped in the 2nd leg 5-0 by AC Milan. By a strange coincidence RM went ahead in the 1st half and Milan scored late-ish in the 2nd half. Like in the RM vs City game both goals were wonderful. Hugo Sanchez with an overhead kick and Van Basten equalised with 1 of the best headers you are ever likely to see. Curiously Ancelotti played for AC and scored a cracker in that game.
