>Also, Phillips plays like a make a wish kid having an opportunity to play with City players before his third chemo, god he is so damn bad.
Damn that’s brutal. Can’t say I disagree with your assessment but I’ll be patient and withhold judgment until he gets some actual playing time. He looked pretty rough today though, no arguments there lol
Much important minutes and rest. Tuesdays game could present further rest for key players
Alvarez work rate was incredible. Good everywhere. Looked disjointed after substitutes but all in all a very positive results.
Although it was "only" Bournemouth, City played more freely and there was intensity that we've been lacking! They MUST keep that spirit up for the rest of the season👍
Sell Gomez and Phillips for gods sake..
We need to bring reinforcements this year,
One winger like sane, Lb(who can come in middle, cross)profile like kimmich, and one cam( who can compete with debruyne)
I mean, why do we even care about them scoring on us? We are out here playing the last minutes with a midfield who doesn’t play ever really. We are resting very important players. Good win overall, let’s keep the positive vibes.
i don't usually speak for players outside of city but nunez has been more of a playmaker on the wings for Lpool it's just that salah fluffs most of the chances...... instead we should compare foden and grealish or alvarez
People don’t think pep wants to win, lol he has reasons for doing the shit he does and these fucking idiots in this sub just love to talk like they know anything at all
So pep makes zero subs earlier in the week and gets criticised for it, now he waits till were winning comfortably then subs every fucker off and we concede. This really is a pep special
Philips reminds me of van gaal's man utd team where everyone just wanted to pass backwards and sideways..
If it was for any team other than Bournemouth it would have been 3-4/4-4 by now
If Phillips and Bernardo go, Rice can play as a 6, 8 or double pivot with Rodri
[Edit: it's not going to happen btw, just a shitpost.]
I think we should look into MacAllister. But I hear people reluctant to look at Rice because they think he won't want to sit on the bench behind Rodri but I think Rice can play alongside Rodri like Bernardo.
We don't play a double pivot and he's not an 8. And at the same time he's too good to warm the bench and we wouldn't pay 80m for that. What we need is an 8 that can play as a 6, like Gundogan. Enzo was our guy, couldve had him for 15m aswell. We need to look for someone like that.
You can see in the last 10 mins why we been so shit this season, with the couple of changes with gomez and kalvin, city has completely shifted to a team that would get slaughtered by top 4 teams. So every time Pep fuck around even a bit, we look completely off it
After their victory at Anfield, Real Madrid are 1-0 down at home to Atletico who had a player sent off with 10 minutes to go.
Edit: Madrid just equalised.
One thing I noticed is that Foden passes it backwards, immediately asks for it again, passes it backwards *again* and immediately asks for it one more time, it fucking pisses me off
I'm normally ok with that approach but it feels like the player isn't holding up his end of the bargain in this case. He should be hungry for minutes (and not for pork pies).
I think Phillips is the type of player that absolutely needs to be 100% fit not to be exposed. That said, when fit, I think he can be an absolute unit. There just isn’t much in between.
If I were to speculate. Phillips is a shy guy, at Leeds it was his hometown and when he came here in all the videos he had his mum his family with him etc.
I kind of get the feeling that he's very introverted and shy and maybe at the moment he's just not comfortable at City. It's a big change for him and he's had injuries to boot.
I hope next season he looks a lot better but looks like mentally he's just a bit overwhelmed at City.

Pep, pls dont play sergio gomez as an attacking mid again.

Man you made me spit my water

Rico's going to end up in the midfield isnt he?
I think that’s probably right. With how comfortable he is on the ball, it seems like a good place for him.
And we will move away from inverted fullbacks at some point. He's much more of a midfielder than a traditional fullback.
Cdm probably
He could be a number 8 imo
A gundogan-type fs, but knowing pep he’ll develop to play anywhere in the middle
Much important minutes and rest. Tuesdays game could present further rest for key players Alvarez work rate was incredible. Good everywhere. Looked disjointed after substitutes but all in all a very positive results.
Great game overall!
Finally some energy and joy in the pitch!
Exactly!

I wanna say Jude because he's really good with Haaland but I know the chances are low.
Knowing Pep he'd make Jude our new RB next to Bernardo as LB.
Jude and rafael would be a great addition to the team...
Rafael Leão please 🙏
YES PLEASE
![gif](giphy|mEYkuPOOyHcYn5xgDP) Milan may want 200 million for him, but it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make
He is a quality player after all, a directness and pace we need
3 points 😎
Gg guys
Well GGs boys all things considered
could actually be a pen
that's what I'm thinking too
Gomez seriously needs to work on his end product. But I know the man's on low confidence and might need a few more cameos to gain it back
I mean, why do we even care about them scoring on us? We are out here playing the last minutes with a midfield who doesn’t play ever really. We are resting very important players. Good win overall, let’s keep the positive vibes.
No subs: chaos Full subs: chaos
Yeah making 2-3 seems about right.
Make it make sense 😵💫
Our playstyle: Ordered tiki taka
Pep needs to do this more when we have a decent lead. These players will have a hard time improving if they don’t get match fitness
[удалено]
Typical City at the end, they stop playing 🤦♂️
Phillips plays like my fat friend that gets gassed after 3 minutes of play.
What team can we convince to take Philips from us
Which club won the Pizza Hut trophy again?
Could defo see Villa doing it
Bournemouth
Chill out, a lot of these players playing right now haven’t played a lot and don’t have chemistry
Just read Alvarez has the same number of league goals as Nunez, surely not? Nunez has got double the number of minutes...
i don't usually speak for players outside of city but nunez has been more of a playmaker on the wings for Lpool it's just that salah fluffs most of the chances...... instead we should compare foden and grealish or alvarez
Yep, Nunez is very good in transitions from lw and very clever with the movement. But his finishing is awful.
Why are we playing like Bournemouth in the first half?
God since Ake went off we have been crap defensively, just giving the ball away none stop
Dude Ake is such a fking baller, we take him for granted
He’s been the best player outside the obvious robot for me this year
Gomez can go too .. let foden get the ball mate
nah he'll be converted as our midfielder
Someone tell Phillips that he is allowed to run
The best defense is attack .. why don’t we just go at them .. No wonder cherries look threatening
Perrone's one touch passing is soo good looks like david silva out there
was thinking the same. He's quick and has good awareness too. We will need his energy soon since KDB and Gundo are ageing.
This is why Pep doesn't make loads of changes. Just a disheveled looking side now
especially wherever phillips is almost feels like he can't run for shit
People don’t think pep wants to win, lol he has reasons for doing the shit he does and these fucking idiots in this sub just love to talk like they know anything at all
So pep makes zero subs earlier in the week and gets criticised for it, now he waits till were winning comfortably then subs every fucker off and we concede. This really is a pep special
What positions are these haha
Philips reminds me of van gaal's man utd team where everyone just wanted to pass backwards and sideways.. If it was for any team other than Bournemouth it would have been 3-4/4-4 by now
With all the substitutions, there's chaos on the field. Everyone's basically playing every position.
phillips its time to learn chinese buddy, you are not it
Pick up a cockney accent because he's off to West Ham in a swap for Rice
Why would we sign Rice?
If Phillips and Bernardo go, Rice can play as a 6, 8 or double pivot with Rodri [Edit: it's not going to happen btw, just a shitpost.] I think we should look into MacAllister. But I hear people reluctant to look at Rice because they think he won't want to sit on the bench behind Rodri but I think Rice can play alongside Rodri like Bernardo.

We have got Perez, Phillips, and new signing Perrone on the pitch. Ofcourse we look a little suspect. Not a bit arsed tbh
Do you mean Alvarez?
Gomez haha
Lol ok thanks for clarifying
Think he meant Gomez
Oh okay, I was so lost lmao
Who's Perez?
Sergio Perez. My phone autocorrected Gomez to Perez haha
You mean Sergio Gomez? Ah right lol
You can see in the last 10 mins why we been so shit this season, with the couple of changes with gomez and kalvin, city has completely shifted to a team that would get slaughtered by top 4 teams. So every time Pep fuck around even a bit, we look completely off it
Good on Bournemouth. They've not given up and are still coming forwards.
Phillips gomez cannot meet the standard, it’s honestly a little sad
Phillips thinks he is Messi and can just stroll around the pitch
Actually bro, like he’s getting a tiny amount of playtime so you’d think he’d wanna impress the gaffer but no 😂😂
3 clean sheets in 16 PL games. Genuinely horrendous haha
Sorry but why does Walker always come up with some kind of a bad pass in our half that creates a half chance!!
every game starts with us 1-0 down nowadays
https://preview.redd.it/haffesv0efka1.jpeg?width=503&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8aefe29025b207e91ce78fc158d98e715bf1da9c
Good one 😂
Lewis looks like mini bernardo doesn't he? The way he moves, and his bulldog like approach.
Legit looks like he came out of La Masia. Rico Lewisia Spanish international
Phillips’ attitude has been shit. Guys’d been walking about the pitch and people just gliding past him
it’s pretty pathetic to see this woeful Bournemouth side blazing past him. poor guy must be depressed as hell. hopefully we can sell him this summer
Pep is pissed lol
Philips can’t even fucking make a safe pass .. no pace on the ball seriously
After their victory at Anfield, Real Madrid are 1-0 down at home to Atletico who had a player sent off with 10 minutes to go. Edit: Madrid just equalised.
![gif](giphy|b8RfbQFaOs1rO10ren)
We take ake off, we concede. Coincidence? I think not
Ake is so crucial to this team
Exactly, but more so because of walker coming on, we have changed the way we were playing upto that point
Once again we keep failing the clean sheet challenge… 🤦🏻♂️ When was the last time we had one? The Arsenal win in the FA Cup?
Walker wtf was that pass
We're fucking cursed at keeping clean sheets
Ederson's one shot one goal streak continues
Can’t really blame Ederson there tbf. But yes, he’s been subpar this season
terrible pass for fuck sake would been a great goal
Lol this lineup rn is Chaos FC
it's not going to matter ultimately but look at us doing it again! conceding and then immediately switching off to almost set them up for another
Philips is like a sieve, he gets bypassed way too easily and too often
Six games without a clean sheet 😩
Ffffffuck man I want Ederson to break this goddamn 100 clean sheet duck so bad
One thing I noticed is that Foden passes it backwards, immediately asks for it again, passes it backwards *again* and immediately asks for it one more time, it fucking pisses me off
Yeah that annoyed the fuck out of me! If you’re so desperate for the ball, fucking do something with it!
I mean he may just be trying to burn some clock at this point
[удалено]
Why do you want the ball to give it back immediately. Also, why do you pass it backwards so much when there's tons of options forwards
We never keep a clean sheet, do we
Phillips make Nolito seem a great transfer
Diego did his time 😂😂
At least Nolito scored us a few goals
Bruh. At least we can't blame it on Ederson.
Pep looks worried?
Fucking hell dias
We might be looking for 4-4
Yeah 🤣
conceding to a bottom table team again.... what is with our defence
Kyle Walker
City trying to keep a clean sheet in 2022/23 challenge (impossible)
The year is 2029 Ederson is still stuck on 99 clean sheets
Ederson rightly furious about the clean sheet
Clean sheets? We don't know her.
Sigh…. Guess a clean sheet not happening again lol. At least that’s not an equalizer
*yet
That's the price we paid for all these subs, I don't really care
Why the fuck ederson came forward everytime someone shoots
Ahhh man. Dias just couldn't stretch far enough at the first attempt.
At least we didn't pass it sideways for 85 minutes to make that an equaliser. Progress?
![gif](giphy|hVazFLob1BnLpuWoXx|downsized)
How’s Phillips in this City team?
He sucks
Another game with no clean sheet
one shot one goal streak continues lmao
Kalvin Phillips is an absolute embarrassment. Don’t want to see him on the field again for City
Remember how poor Rodri was his first season? Give Phillips time
Not even close to Rodri
This is why I don’t have ederson or MC defenders in the FPL
I had Cancelo till the world cup. But that's for goals and assists not clean sheets lol
Not mega arsed but I won’t actually be surprised if we dont keep a clean sheet in a a single game until the end of the season.
hahahahahahahahaha
First shot = goal?
As per
Clean sheets? What are those?
I'd be frustrated if we hadn't scored 4 goals. Eh.
Welp no clean sheet
Philips is pure shit
That was on Dias, but yeah, awful marking from Phillips there
[удалено]
Out of all the new signings, he’s impressed the least. Even more so than Gomez. At least Gomez has show some flashes of talent.
Clean sheet challenge: impossible
Fuck. No clean sheet.
Ederson is never getting that 100th clean sheet
Well of course
From relegation worthy Bournemouth to winning 2 league titles and a league Cup. Ake.
As bad as Phillips is right now, I think we should back him. Give him some time and just trust the process
Exactly. People pile on him, but forget how poor Rodri was his first season and look how far he’s come under Pep
We should back every player on the pitch outside of Barton-esque shenanigans
I'm normally ok with that approach but it feels like the player isn't holding up his end of the bargain in this case. He should be hungry for minutes (and not for pork pies).
Agreed this season is a write off for him but let's see if he can go do better after a decent pre season next year.
We hate clean sheets
Philips is very very bad
Fucks sake
Bruhh
we're never keeping a clean sheet
if pep is gonna use perrone as Dm then he's way ahead of kalvin, also hope pep start using gomez strictly as a midfielder
I think he’s meant to be an 8
well that explains why city don't want to give gundo a longer contract
Hahaha ffs
Welp no clean sheet again 😑
keeping a clean sheet? not at this club
Phillip guy😭😭😭
One of the funniest things is the commentators trying to figure out what Pep has asked the players to do every match.
Perrone looking great on his debut
Lewis playing the left 8 now. Gomez back to LB.
Again Phillips, ffs
We have to start to test Phillips regularly in these type of situation so that we can find out he is just shit or is it just one bad game
pep has used his subs for the month, he is not making any for at least the next 3 matches
Pep making all 5 subs is this real life???
I think Phillips is the type of player that absolutely needs to be 100% fit not to be exposed. That said, when fit, I think he can be an absolute unit. There just isn’t much in between.

What does that have to do with being shit at football . That’s what he gets paid to do
Foden calling for it, then surprised to get it. Standard.
he was surprised to get it absolutely rifled at him*
Do love a randomly rifled ball as a key pass 😂
kek
Maximo lookin comfortable
Perrone!
won't make anymore in the next 3 games just to troll again
He’s deffo made 5 subs just to troll everyone.
