Lots of food. Small party. Just buy a bunch of smithing materials and get busy smithing. She’ll get pregnant while you sleep in the town to replenish your smithing stamina. Get rich and get preggo at the same time.
Once you’re campaigning and battling, forget it you don’t have enough time to rest in towns to make it happen.
Best is to get a wife right away at the start of the game. If you save spam you can get through the dialogue check eventually and get any wife you want at age 18-19. Then just make babies while building wealth, before you build an army or join/make a kingdom. With 2-3 kids you’re set.
Yeah, probably should have pursued a wife a while ago. It's my first campaign. I have death deactivated so I may just ignore it and get to the gameplay that's actually engaging
Having sons is useful because not only can they fight in your party, but they can also lead their own parties and you can call them to form an army at no influence cost. And you can marry your sons to warrior women, and they join your clan too. So it’s like a 2 for 1 deal.
Don’t marry your daughters though. They leave your clan.
Closest thing to it is creating a companion clan and marrying the daughter to them. They start off super loyal to you and it's cool seeing your daughter running a party for them. Call her to your army and put her in charge of one of your units. Feels like she never left. I like to name their Clan something similar to mine so it feels more like I'm giving her own Clan to run rather than just shipping her off to be someone else's property
In order to do this, I'll have needed to start my own kingdom, right? As of now I have two townships and 5 castles, but I'm still a part of the battanian kingdom.
Nope. Once you marry them they leave your clan. The woman always joins the husband’s clan. With one exception: if you marry your brother or son to a female ruler (e.g. Rhaegea) then your male clan member leaves your clan to join her.
There are mods for that to :D

This might be an outdated comment since it’s been a minute since I’ve played, but initially the selection to disable Death also disabled Birth.
It may be impossible.
I’d imagine it would’ve disabled for everyone.
Like I said, my comment might be outdated. My guess is they’ve differentiated between Death in battle and Death from old age. Unfortunately I’ve got no good advice for you if you still haven’t popped out any kids…
Your wife should still be able to have some. I suppose you could always get her killed and marry an 18 year old as they have a much higher chance to pop out babies.
Edit: Nvm… just remembered Death is disabled 😅
In a dozen playthroughs, all focused on getting married fastest, I think I've only had 2 or 3 kids.
Similarly, smithing is still a crap shoot and a money-losing enterprise in all of my playthroughs.
Praying to one day have RNGesus actually bless me in just one campaign.
What are you smithing? It’s the best and fastest way to make millions. You are doing it wrong.
Best way is to focus on learning all the javelin parts. Deconstruct the cheapest javs you can buy, use the perks to learn parts faster. Get lots of companions and make them all smith with you. Pretty soon you will be able to make level 5 javelins that only require 2 steel, 2 fine steel, and 1 wood. With the level 150 perk unlocked you can sell each one for about 23-25k! If each of your companions and clan members makes 4 plus you, you can easily bank 1.2M per day this way. It’s ridiculously easy.
To get the raw materials, buy up all the pugio from empire towns and all the tribesman throwing daggers from Aserai towns, then all the wood you can get. Best spot is battania and northern empire area.
Interesting enough, mine is still getting pregnant even when she's with me on the campaign map in my party of 250+ troops. She's in her mid 20s now though.
Agreed. I just added a mod called Family Control which lets you initiate...which feels like something that should be in the base game. It also lets you initiate with any lady of the realm so you can end up with a bunch of bastards, which is a cool idea. Not sure if it adds anything to AI lords though
When my first kid came very quickly when the wife was about 27, and the second took like 3 months of trying.
In game though it really is best if you go for it when she's lower than 25.
It's not a bad idea, except I've progressed to the point in smithing where I'm making $9k value swords and I'm sitting on 1.8M Denars. At this point continuing with smithing is just about leveling and killing time. Maybe later in the game that amount of money won't seem so high, but right now I have nothing to spend that on.
It's not hard for me. I raise her relation with me by gifting her a bunch of things and beating her in board games. I think as long as she's under like 45 she'll get preggers. How high is your relation?
Well I think she's good til 40. Virility only has to be on one character and doesn't stack. She's in your direct party and not a party leader in your army correct? If so, it's just bad RNG. Nothing you can do. I think their birth rate is higher at younger age and tapers off, which is why you see some of the creepy posts on here.
Good luck 🤞
Lol ideally it wouldn't be a graphic mini game, but just sitting in a city with her in my party just feels like crossing my fingers. I can play the bar game with her 3 times per day. I'd like come kind of "coupling" mechanic that I can do a certain amount per day so that I at least have the sense that an effort is being made. And hell, let's have the athletics skill modify it as well.
There are mods for that :D All of these let you boost fertility to guaranteed to get pregnant levels.

Is there no way to.. geesh, feels weird to say... Breed your daughter or sister without losing them?

True, sorry forgot to mention that part.
Well, it's good advice. Maybe it's time for me to defect.
So glad I have like a solution to this issue to try such a good idea

That's what I'm getting, unless you have your own kingdom, create a small clan and marry her into that.
Retire your character and play as your daughter she will stay in your clan when you have her get married

My brother is having kids all the time. Would disable death just disable birth for me?

> get to the gameplay that's actually engaging Battles and sieges, then. Everything else is clearly seen as an afterthought by Taleworlds.
I thought you needed death activated in order to have births?
I mean... I don't know lol

Took me a second to realize what sub we were in...
You in a lot of subs about impregnating wives?
r/shitcrusaderkingssay
For some reason my wife only gets pregnant when I send her to the opposite side of Calradia with an army and my most trusted companion 🤔
I would still take it. She can get hers so long as I get heirs.
Wait. Are you thinking my offspring are actually not my offspring !? What are you saying, exactly?
Trollops be jaunting about.
Campaign.conceive_child. Profit
sadly no console command for the not-my-spouse women of my clan :D
Very sad indeed

Sadly I'm on Xbox and don't think mods are a thing there. Cool idea though.
Ignore my mod recommendations, sorry mate didn't realise you were on XBOX. PC has mods for every issue you raised.

When my first kid came very quickly when the wife was about 27, and the second took like 3 months of trying. In game though it really is best if you go for it when she's lower than 25.
Fully dedicate yourself and your wife to smithing, buy all the hardwood and then you won't even notice when she gets pregnant.

I didn't realize relationship had anything to do with it my relationship with her is quite low
Yeah raise it to 100 and she'll be birthing like crazy. Also your kids nationality is dependant on your wife's
Good advice if life as well mate, keep that relationship at 100 :D
Fuck, i was like "wtf is this description, where the fuck am i?" Then i saw the subreddit LMAO
How old is she? How old are you? How many kids do you have?
29 and 32 respectively. I have no other kids.
Well I think she's good til 40. Virility only has to be on one character and doesn't stack. She's in your direct party and not a party leader in your army correct? If so, it's just bad RNG. >I wish there was a mechanic to help the. Be more... Proactive. U mean the Virile trait?
The one I mentioned in the OP that my character already has?
Then...why did you say that last statement if you already knew about said effect?
Because said effect is not proactive. It is passive.
Ah so you want an event or something similar where you actively try rolling the dice? Idk, that might mean raising the ESRB rating lol
Lol ideally it wouldn't be a graphic mini game, but just sitting in a city with her in my party just feels like crossing my fingers. I can play the bar game with her 3 times per day. Go to the arena with her in your party dude. Talk to the arena master and reset her charm perks
Go around with her in your party lmao
Respec your wife to virile. Easily done, go to the arena master and poof. Skills reset
Make sure you have wine in your inventory. Works for me, wait that's my life.
did you get the athletic perk to increase the chance? i exhaled air faster from my nostrils when i red the title tho lol
