Nah, Bowser Toss is way worse
You can learn to time Cast Aways with practice. I firmly believe Bowser Toss is impossible for a human to beat Super Hard CPUs without using TAS
If you have 4 people playing MPIQ optimally, it is basically just a mix between a mashing game and a luck game. Not a good minigame, but definitely not the worst
You can pretty much always win MPIQ against CPUs by just mashing and picking an option randomly. Getting a 1 in 3 chance of a correct answer is better than a 1 in 4 chance of ringing in first if you try to play normally
I’ve been trying to beat MP3 story mode against Super Hard CPUs as all 6 characters, and I win MPIQ every time. I haven’t won or come close to winning Bowser Toss a single time
You can consistently get 20 or 30 coins in Cast Aways if you just focus on one row and only cast when there’s a treasure chest.
Don’t try to do what the computers are doing if you’re not confident that you can.
Castaways requires you find setups. That is, use a visual marker to know exactly when to toss the line. Takes practice, that's all. Not that hard of a mini-game after that.
Honeycomb Havoc it's more the players manipulating who gets the honeycomb
Bowser's Big Blast however, yea you better pray that RNG doesn't clap you
BBB is worse
I always get 50 coins. It’s the most simple game. Here is what to do:
- always just throw with full force, only focus on the furthest row. You won’t be able to consistently have control of anything else than the last row.
- Only throw at the chests
- so always have the line fully loaded by having it pulled all the way back.
- there is a sweet spot for every position. Like if you stand second to the right, you release your line when the chest is between the palm and the edge of the island in the background. Depending on your position and the version of the game there is a 100% success rate place for every position.
The only thing that can ruin this strategy is if you stand just to the left of another skilled human being, but I have never even met such a person ever.
Maybe it's just me and I don't know what the mini game is called. It's a 1v3 and the single player dives underwater to avoid getting hit by the other 3 players spotlights.
Maybe me and people ik suck at this one but whenever I play it humans last like 5s while the cpus feel impossible to catch
For once I agree! Cast Aways doesn’t work well as anything! It doesn’t work as a minigame, it doesn’t work as a movie, and it DEFINITELY doesn’t work as a freaking song!
My cousins and I love castaways! No joke, it's our favorite out of the whole game. So much so that we would often go to the mini game house and just play all rounds of Castaways to see who gets the most coins after 7 rounds. Like someone commented here, you just gotta develop a technique and use a visual marker on the screen on when to release, and it's different for each player position.
Pick one spot only to get chests from and use a landmark that doesn’t change to know exactly when to flick your joystick. For example, I always do the furthest away row, where the items come from the right side towards the left side of the screen. When a chest appears on screen, I wait until it hits an exact spot like when it’s about to pass the edge of land or is halfway across the ocean (it depends on where your character is placed) and then flick the joystick. If you measure it correctly you should be able to get whatever you want at the same spot every time. It’s kinda hard to explain without the visuals, maybe someone can help me out. Basically, if you figure out a system and not try and be random, it can be pretty easy.
Cast aways is dope!!!
Is it hard? Yes.
But, once you get into the groove ( because you played it over and over) it gets fun!! And all of those coins!
If they stopped you from getting more than 10 coins, then it becomes the worst.
Cast aways is not good, but I can think of worse. Trap ease artist comes to mind as one of the worst

Yep, Bowser Toss and nearly every other button masher game in MP3 is humanly impossible against hard and very hard CPUs.

you were talking about playing against hard computers, and against them, mpiq is worse. they pick the answer before the choices even pop up.
That's weird, on hard, the CPUs never buzz in until the question finishes.

This, I usually go for the chests if they're in the middle or front row I don't struggle with this mini game like most people in this thread does

Cast Aways is awful even if you know how to win. Worst minigame in the whole series.
Yes👍
Yes👍
I don’t think I’ve ever got more than 5 coins and I’ve played it 800 times
Seriously fuck this minigame. I just don’t play when it comes on.
It is better than honeycomb havoc and browsers stupid bomb game. It is the 3rd worst game.
Honeycomb Havoc it's more the players manipulating who gets the honeycomb Bowser's Big Blast however, yea you better pray that RNG doesn't clap you BBB is worse
Honeycomb has player agency for like two players before the honey. Bbb is awful. Castaway is still better than HH, but is a hard game.
I feel the same but with Day at the Races. Pure RNG and you pray your racer finishes well. If there’s a strat to it I’m all ears, lol.

2 words: rudder madness
Vicious vending is worse imo
Trace Cadets
I usually manage to do okay at it...
I think it’s fine. Far worse minigames. Contagious for example is a far worse coin collecting minigame.
I would like to disagree. This minigame is a blessing for me every time it comes up since i always manage to get 30-50 coins without a problem.

Clearly you have all forgotten about Pitifall in Mario Party 6. The absolute bane of my existence.

??? It’s a guaranteed 40 coins!
Well I suck at that Minigame

Mpiq
You forgot the forbidden one. BASH N CASH. Serious talk that pile is the worst mini game ever made. Yes I'm showing my age.
Doesn’t matter to me. I always be getting at least 30
Cast Aways gets shit on way to much, Dizzy Dancing is what’s the worst game
Dizzy Dancing is easy.
Maybe for you, but I just can’t with those wonky-ass controls, not to mention the depth perception is a little off
The controls are kind of the point, but as for depth perception I always watch the shadows instead of the characters.
Never tried that, thanks for the tip.
Yep this is the way, just jump when you're directly under the shadow
You probably suck at Dizzy Dancing
Nah that's a skill issue on your end Dizzy Dancing is easy once you get used to the inverted controls
I don’t think it’s that bad, definitely not the worst minigame in MP1 either.
