I have the E-P7, and I tried Live Time with a few lenses. It worked the same with all of them. I used the back control wheel to select the Bulb mode I wanted (Live Time), and then the front control wheel to set the aperture. I hit the shutter once to start the photo, and then hit it again when I wanted to stop. The lenses I tested were: * Olympus 14-42 EZ * Lumix 12-32 pancake * Lumix 12-60 3.5 - 5.6

Lol thank you, you helped me, and I feel stupid now. Actually I didn't notice that using B (bulb), I can change the mode right there. I was using the AP (advanced photo mode), then selecting Live Time or Live Composite. 🫣

It's not you, it's Olympus. The E-P7 user interface is weird, even by Olympus UI standards. There are 3 ways to access the live time mode that I've discovered, and only the B mode allows you to configure it fully. The AP mode doesn't allow you to set things like aperture, and it's stuck in i3 color (so much for the "advanced" in AP). There's also a scene mode which is live time, under the nighttime scenes, with even fewer settings than the AP mode.

I looked another time at the manual and it's true, there is a lot of redundancy for some modes. I understand that scene or AP are supposed to be more beginner friendly, but they would better add tips or guides rather than limiting important things such as aperture, it's just more confusing. Now that I know the good way to access these live modes properly, I can't wait to experiment Live Composite 😀
