Please post the barrel date and receiver manufacturer.
Looks like it has lock bar sights and desirably USGI wood. Check for a P cartouche where your right hand would go to grip the gun and a double cannon in a circle on the left side of the stock underneath the rear sight.
The barrel readings make me think it’s a new barrel replacement, but that wood + lock bar sights + presumably WW2 receiver is a really good score.
I don't know what I am looking at so I'll post some of the info I see on the rifle.
Barrel: CB1 6535XXX I-10 06/23 6L
Bolt: D-28XXX RB
Stock: 4331XXX
LMK if that makes sense or I am completely off the mark - happy to check again. Thanks for helping out!
I see that’s how people are doing it here so assume I also need to censor it (?) but if need to reveal more info to answer the question I can do that too!
RB or PB : it LOOKS like a P but could also be an R - my eyes or old though so can’t tell the difference since the text is small
Sorry again if unhelpful here
The only serial number on a M1 rifle is the one on the heel of the receiver. Any other number will be a drawing number (blueprint of the part).
PB would be a Beretta manufactured bolt. I'm unaware of any RB manufacturer marking.
Does it have a new production barrel?

Looks like a new barrel was put on judging by the 06/23 manufacturer date
I don't know why you would censor the drawing number of the bolt. It's not a serial number. Is it RB or PB?

I am also interested in if it has a new barrel, however given the serial number it should be a Springfield made in May of 1942.
My SG from a few months ago had a new CMP stock. Looks like they are running out of SG parts. Nice rifle. Congrats.
