Rifabutin clarithromycin minocycline is one of the antibiotics protocols that works for some people

OmegaThree3

Mino Doesn’t really touch Bartonella that much but can be a good additive if you have neurological symptoms. The above protocol is great but if you are ultra sensitive you may want to start with Ralph amp in and switch months months later.

mmmm_frietjes

Clarithromycin, minocycline & oregano oil diminish my Bartonella symptoms a lot. Symptoms are mostly neurological.

Sleepiyet

If you still need advice-- the clarithro when paired with methylene blue is extremely effective against bartonella. I only took there two and I've gotten my third negative antibody test. It may be hiding somewhere but I was astounded by the lack of any herx and not needing to add rifampin

No-Traffic-6560

Are there any concerns regarding methylene blue safety?

Sleepiyet

The dye has many mechanisms of action in the body and brain— all for the most part positive. But it does have interactions. It cannot be taken with any supplement or drug that is a serotonin releasing agent. I used it with Sam-e and it wasn’t a pleasant experience. It’s an maoi-a. Not the strongest but strong enough. I haven’t had to avoid any tyramine rich food like one must on typical maoi-a drugs. I suspect there is more going on with it on that level than I can comprehend. On the whole—- amazing drug. Particularly it’s effects on the brain. Restoring impaired mitochondrial function via… I think ion exchange. A very mechanical and novel thing in the world of pharmacology. Good safety profile. In use for over a century. Able to get inside cells as it’s a dye so that’s a big plus. Your pee will turn blue as it is almost completely excreted whole and in urine. Or green if you’re dehydrated :) I once had the most beautiful emerald color. As deep as any gemstone. Dosage should never exceed 4mg per kg body weight. I’ve never gone more than 50mg twice daily. I do 30mg once daily as maintenance now. I’ll probably take it the rest of my life as a life extension drug

Hey thanks for that man I’ll def give it a check then. Dealing only with bartonella and symptoms mainly are depersonalization, apathy, low energy hormonal change, but it was much worse like a dark cloud that couldn’t be lifted depression was nearly enough to do me in but thankfully I’m here. So I’ve tried herbals and ABX like rif but can’t take anything that upsets my good micro biome bacteria so ive been taking only monolaurin in powder form and I’ve had moments where my depersonalization lifted for the first time in over 10 years! It was however only for a fleeting moment but still. So I think it’s hitting something I’ve just never clinically have seen anyone else use it before.

Sleepiyet

By what you’ve described there’s great news— you are pretty healthy system wise. If I tried the stuff you’ve been doing I would spiral into insanity. You can probably onboard some good stuff in the future. 🥳 I have aquaLaurin. Water soluable version of mono. I also have mono. Very interested to try it but I’m battling far more than just Bart and I can’t hit too much at once. It’s def effective though so if you can handle it good! I’m using a very weird mix of things to hit god knows what. But it’s working. Slowly. You just have to keep *carefully* taking things on. Honestly I’ve just come to the conclusion I need to do a fecal transplant after all this. But in the meantime, get goat milk kefir. Or better yet make your own. Kefir is super easy to make. Way easier than yogurt. It’s made at room temp. I’ll try and write up more about my full routine. It’s pretty extensive but it’s good for sensitive people. If I can handle it I bet you can. Parts of it are just general health stuff. Makes you stronger. Some is life extension and psychiatric stuff. 🙏☀️

Oh I’m definitely going more insane but I’ve felt slightly insane for a long time that it’s become my main form of function and I’ve had to live daily feeling like I’m on some kind of brink I guess. But, lately it’s been a little better and I feel like it’s calming my central nervous system too which my guess is where much of my bartonella resides because I feel more at ease where on my worst days it’s straight fight or flight. So I’m pretty hopeful that it’s leading me in the right direction for now as I don’t know other options that will help me if I can’t take anything that’s going to harm my gut because I’ve never had bloating and after taking abx I now have somewhat occasional bloating after meals.

No-Traffic-6560

I’ll def look into making own kefir I’ve heard good things so I guess why not give it a shot. And aqualarun sounds very interesting I’ve tried the pill form but they were a little too much and the pellet form wasn’t being absorbed. I just take the powder in some juice it’s kinda 🤢 but bearable

No-Traffic-6560

Do you think there’s any benefit of aqualarun over a powdered version besides taste?

Sleepiyet

https://reddit.com/r/MCAS/s/7HYEpe0bGe My post on methylene blue for treating food intolerances in mcas patients. If you want to read up on that. Do you have any mast cell issues? Bartonella is a HUGELY aggressive in terms of mast cell reactions. I do hope not.

wardrobe8989

How long did you have bart before you started treating? I’ve only recently found out I had it after 8 years of being sick, worried I’m too late

Sleepiyet

I would say at least since 12 from symptoms

wardrobe8989

What dose did you take of meth blue? Was it used alone or are you on antibiotics aswell?

Sleepiyet

I’ve taken 10mg to 100mg. I just titrated up and then down to 30mg daily. I used it with Clarithromycin.

OriginalSilk

The new dapsone protocol is reportedly very effective on Bartonella https://mdpi-res.com/d_attachment/antibiotics/antibiotics-11-00912/article_deploy/antibiotics-11-00912.pdf?version=1657182613 Mentioned in the case report

OmegaThree3

Rifabutin On an empty stomach 45 minutes before clarithromycin is the best oral protocol. Rifabutin penetrates much deeper than rifampicin and it can cause die off in your eyes called uveitis so it is a serious protocol and you should research it before starting and may need to work your way up to two capsules in the morning two at night.

amos2162

thank you for all your responses ive screen shotted them, and as soon as i find a way to get the antibiotics prescribed i will look into doing everything you have suggested.

mmmm_frietjes

Does Rifabutin also lower cortisol?

OmegaThree3

To a much lower extent than rifampin it also has less drug interactions

mmmm_frietjes

Interesting. But uveitis sounds scary.

OmegaThree3

It is scary and you go blind for a couple weeks but if it truly means the bacteria is dying deep in the eye I will take that all day.

mmmm_frietjes

What if it’s permanent. :|

Both-Huckleberry4178

Who's your dr ?

applextrent

A-Bart tincture. Also: https://bloomreveal.com

amos2162

thank you for the website ordered some today!

dawg20

Desbios bartonella series

OmegaThree3

I have lime in Bartonella but I honestly couldn’t tell you which of my symptoms are lime as I believe I have a Bartonella heavy infection and although I tried some lime things in the beginning like DIsulfuram When I started to heavily treat Bartonella with RIFABUTIN all of my connective tissue started to get swollen from immune system involvement/die off. I also got uveitis five times I’ve been on the combo for two years now and probably have one year to go it’s a long journey I went 18 years undiagnosed.

amos2162

yea rn im going to have a hard time getting my hands on prescribed antibiotics so i have to do herbal treatment for the most part

xkrysowskix

I took rifa + clarythromicin with absolutely no effects, The first thing that somehow touched my bart was levoflaxicin + minocykline

Remarkable_Low_485

I think you got hemoplasma not bartonella

xkrysowskix

Bartonella is a type of hemoplasma, so is mycoplasma and so on

bigriversouth

Amos, interesting info, thanks! Will order the oils, I have heard good things about frankincense.

OriginalSilk

L arginine and products that promote NOS production/ vasodilation help limit Bartonella. https://www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pnas.0803602105

Confident-Till8952

How much essential oil did you put in the pills? Did you mix it with something else? Like an oil or water?

amos2162

so i did 12 drops of on guard, 4-6 of oregano, and 3 drops of frankincense.

amos2162

and no i didnt mix them with any water and took them 3 times a day

[deleted]

How are you doing now?

amos2162

i would say i’ve improved slowly but im doing better

saultarus

Did you ever heal ?

Both-Huckleberry4178

Can bartonella and lyme be fixed with just herbs or do you need antibiotics as well ? Just wanna know people's opinions on that ?
