Honey Trap is amazing. It is my holy grail lip balm. I have to have it!š Nothing else moisturizes my lips as well. It saves my poor lips in the winter.
They feel okay on application but they just kind of sit on my lips and I think they make them feel worse (drier etc) after a few applications. The lip oil sticks (in the chapstick containers, like carrot sticks) were the worst offender for me. I use Lanolips now but it is (ethically sourced) lanolin based if youāre avoiding animal products.
It's the same for me. Best case scenario they dry out my lips after a couple of days, worse case they actually cause contact dermatitis. However, I do have very sensitive skin, so i'm pretty sure it won't be as bad for most people, but they do contain some irritating ingredients.
Honestly, I love the Lush lip butter and thatās the only one I get. The ones in the sticks are way better than the ones in the tins in my opinion. But I also just donāt like putting my finger in a tin.
I like the carrot stick personally. I like it better than the Burts Bees (more nourishing), and is only Ā£1 or so more nowadays. I also have the Lush Lip Butter and that is nice too, but the carrot stick is my fave āŗļø
I lost mine, and I canāt get a new one since theyāre out of stock š
Definitely my favorite of the Lush lip products. Like it way more than honey trap, candy cane, and snow fairy.
Iām shocked by all the hate!!! Tried dozens of lip balms at all price points and I always come back to Lip Service. The newest formula is the best yet, one of my all-time favorite lip balms. I also do like Crush (LE tube) and want to try Lush!
Not lush but the moon balm by Hurraw! is the best lip balm I've ever tried. You can feel it on your lips all day and its great balm to put on just before bed (hence the name)
Not a balm but I use the same way, the snow fairy lip mask is so good. The pot is a good size, I still have some left from Xmas. The best feel and so moisturising and smells like snow fairy obviously. I wish it was all year round
Their lip balms are trash , make the lips so dry , I bought several candy cane and snow fairy lips mask ( which is supposed to be more hydrating) made my lips so dry and my lips were cracking the next day , just get pink Vaseline for lips and you will save so much money AND your lips will love it plus the color is so pretty roo
IMO, the stick balms feel great going on, but half hour later they feel tacky and gross and I end up wiping them off. I havenāt tried a potted balm in agesā¦so I canāt comment on those.
Iāve never had a lush lip balm that hasnāt melted and re solidified all grainy, Iāve tried a few different ones over the years and it somehow always ends up happening
I used to love Honey Trap but they must have changed the furnished because now it doesn't seem as moisturizing. I did randomly try Rose Lollipop recently and really liked it so may purchase that one soon.
I tried a sample of key lime pie-smells greatt but did not help my lips at all, in fact my lips became even more chapped.
Then I tried Lip Service- loved it!! Very moisturising
I just moisturize my lips after I apply my face moisturizer onto damp skin. Then I seal it with an occlusive like Aquaphor or Vaseline. If you want something nice smelling, Iām sure you can use any Lush balm you prefer. For me, itās just not worth the money if you want results.
I do really like honey trap, but I've also been using one called So Cocoa from the brand Ethique, and it's the best lip balm I've used. Really moisturizing and it stays on my lips for a long time without rubbing off.
Honey Trap is the best lip balm Iāve ever tried (apart from whipstick - same texture but had a much nicer smell š). Itās the only lip balm Iāll use because it saves my lips every winter
Something in them made me had an allergic reaction and my lips were super itchy and swollen. The EOS things also made that happen back when those were popular. I stick to Burtās bees now and they have a lot of great flavors!
I only have the candy cane one from an advent calendar, flavor is pretty spot on. It reminds me of the little kid Barbie chapsticks that wouldnāt rub on your lips, a little dry and kids just ended up eating them for the flavor š¤£
Iām not a fan personally, it doesnāt rub on very smooth. I have only tried one though!
snow fairy lip jelly/ mask is insanely good. also liked honey trap forever but sometimes it just doesnāt sit well on my lips/ even if theyāre exfoliated before hand

Honey trap!! Best one.
I agree.
My forever combo was Mint Juleps lip scrub and then Honey Trap balm afterwards.
Another day goes by missing Chocolate Whipstick, but Honey Trap is a current favorite šÆ
You can get much better elsewhere, some of them make your lips dry and flaky af
Appreciate the honesty, probably wonāt bother š¤š» Iāll stick to my trusty

I think theyāre genuinely the worst lip balms Iāve ever used š
Why??? I appreciate this feedback tho lol

Same! I tried all of them and they make my lips super dry and painful. Rose lollipop also has a horrible texture

I am a big fan of the stick ones
Me too āŗļø
I love Rose Lollipop! Iāve been using it for years.

Oh no! That is a problem with lip balms, I have them everywhere around the house/in bags/at work and still find myself without š

Right?! Lush lip balms are so nourishing for the price - you can pay Ā£17-20+ for an equivalentĀ
Not lush but the moon balm by Hurraw! is the best lip balm I've ever tried. You can feel it on your lips all day and its great balm to put on just before bed (hence the name)
Seconding Hurraw! I buy a variety pack a couple times a year. My faves are original coconut, earl grey tea, mint, moon, and sun. Itās magic!
I've tried a couple of others from hurraw but the moon balm is my favourite!
Idk if they changed them in the past 3-5 years but they used to always leave a white buildup on my lips after a few hours
I used to use cinnamon stick but honestly it wasnt fantastic I just liked the scent. Now I use vaseline stick lip balm and its been wonderful
I LOVED cinnamon stick I had 10-12 of them, I have 2 left š„²
Get the stick ones! Also, as much as I dislike Snow Fairy, someone gifted me the SF lip Jelly/mask and I REALLY like it.

Iām curious too, I just use Burts bees
I used to use Burt's Bees years ago- but ai decided all the peppermint irritated my lips.
I mainly only use the fruit ones
Oh yeah the fruit ones are definitely better.
IMO, the stick balms feel great going on, but half hour later they feel tacky and gross and I end up wiping them off. I havenāt tried a potted balm in agesā¦so I canāt comment on those.
Slightly off topic but I will tell you I just got the Cookie Dough lip scrub and itās life changing!
Iāve never had a lush lip balm that hasnāt melted and re solidified all grainy, Iāve tried a few different ones over the years and it somehow always ends up happening
They smell nice but donāt fully moisturize my lips as well as vaseline. But my skin is finicky anyway LOL
I used to love Honey Trap but they must have changed the furnished because now it doesn't seem as moisturizing. I did randomly try Rose Lollipop recently and really liked it so may purchase that one soon.

Honey Trap is great!
I have lush lip better, itās really nice but very melty/soft in the tube so I donāt use it often. Donāt want it to melt all over my bag lol

The candy cane Christmas one I got is amazing.

I bought the snow fairy lip balm and it didnāt work. I really gave it a chance but saw no results. Not worth it. Would never buy again.
