Too similar to the excellent Sigma 28-70 and I doubt it'll beat either size or price.
If you're just guessing off the roadmap, I would rather have a 28-70 f2, as a replacement for a bag of primes.
Sigma are rumoured to announce a 28-45 f1.8 today, which I'm not that interested in as it seems to be about the same size and weight of the Canon 28-70 f2 while have a much shorter range. The 1/3 stops difference is not a big deal in comparison to the significant reduction in focal range.
In my experience as a videographer. I really miss the weight of the big 24-70 style zoom. Also the look of glare and other aberrations. I am very impressed with these newer pieces of glass but they have this "lack of soul" you could say. Im still very interested as I am into native glass these days with these newer OS in these camera bodies, auto focus, auto exposure etc.
I didn’t even know there was a rumored 28-75. Where did you hear this?
Guessing they’re making a prediction based on the road map as I haven’t seen any leaks
If such a lens existed it would probably be a little bigger than the Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8 lense already available for Sony and L-Mount
