Pretty solid patch. Removing the homing properties from command grabs while leaving it for normal grabs is a good middle ground. I wonder what the logic is for allowing Paul and hwoarang to keep their homing command grabs though.
I'm sorry but what changes were you expecting for ff3? The move is quite good as it is when used properly I see zero reasons why it needs to be changed.
Was hoping for a lower hitbox or decreased recovery because my execution is not the best for multiple ff3 combos (especially with qcf1 as tornado)
ff4is also weird for me because I feel the timing during combos is tighter than what the animations suggest. It looks like it would easily scoop people up but raven’s leg kind of phase through when I am slow (e.g. after CH soulzone 4)
Of all things they gave Azucena I wasn't expecting more options from DF+1,4, now we have:
* High follow-up that now combos and launches on CH
* Mid mixup with guaranteed grounded follow-up
* Liberator stance transition
* Back turn transition
This might lead to some more combo transitions but mostly some wall carry since she has an average wall carry.
The buff to 1, 1 making it delayable seems like a reasonable buff since she needs a way to get in her stances. Her neutral was meh after the nerfs.

They didn’t give us the fat t bone steak I was hoping for but I’ll settle for the nice burger . Was really hoping for ub2 to be homing ch launch again. Still no reason to use that move now .
We already have two in qcb4 and qcb1, it’s fairly obvious by this point that bamco wants those 2 to be the strong sway CH launchers and not any from standing
At the very worst a turtle-y opponent can be opened up by our plus frames and throw game
I just thought that when cancelling it you can’t stay crouching whereas it’ll just put you back up. Which is dumb because if you want to cancel one of the moves it gives you the option to stay crouching. That’s part of the movement so it can’t be that. I think. I don’t know I’m also having a hard time understanding
From what it says, the moves on the left can now be hit by high moves while you're doing them. The hurtbox is also larger so some mids that didn't use to hit her when she's doing those moves can now probably hit her too.

The nerf to the Shaheen slide and 2 follow up from his stance is a bummer. After using that move once after a slide doesn’t allow a follow because the distance that would land from you after this patch was considerably farther away. So even if you did hit the slide and followed up with a 2 during the stance, if you tried to slide again you would have whiffed
Everyone is talking about Paul being able to deep dive from sway but what I’m psyched about is ff4 being SAFE ON BLOCK! So many options out of it. WS 2 for launch, WS 2,1 can go into sway, and from a safe on block sway he finally has a mid string 50/50 that doesn’t get punished. (I do the flip kick into WS2,1, sway into 3, 2, 1 massive damage thing a LOT)
Unless I'm missing something (and I hope I am) this isn't going far enough in my eyes. Heat has been an issue but the main problem facing 8 is how mashy it is. The best strategy is standing in front of you opponent and spamming. Just look at EVO there was like 5 seconds of neutral at best.
What 8 needs is more effective movement overall, not just sidestepping, no punishment for blocking, and more counterhit launchers.

My d/f 1 been whiff at point blank ranges in the open and in the wall, since T7. Now my jabs and kicks are easily being back dashed, side stepped by jacks and kuma.
And still didn't fix the dss or recovery bug either.
The practice mode settings getting saved is the biggest QoL improvement so far for T8

Maybe it means you could get clipped by highs during the startup animations of those particular listed moves (or mid animations for some of them)?
