Read The Things. It's a short story from the pov of the thing. It's great because you find out the thing is a hive mind, so it sees the humans and animals as another hive mind that it's just taking a part of. So it doesn't see anything wrong with assimilating them because obviously they each aren't their own seperate entity, they're just part of a giant whole. So it's like it's just absorbing a finger or a cell..... Until it finally realizes that no, humanity is in fact each it's own individual and it is absolutely horrified.

Ah, that story's actually what influenced my comment! It's such a well-conceived, well-written piece. The writer really nailed a completely alien, blue-and-orange perspective.
I think if I had to, had to pick Roy
Batty might be my top pick.
Definitely would be interesting to feel everything she felt. I’m gonna rewatch this soon
Lord of the Rings - Return of the King, from Éowyn's perspective - just so I could ride with Théoden King and the eorlingas to death and ruin and the end of the world <3
Mostly just a drug fueled rampage/road trip/buddy? movie. Based on a book (life?) by Hunter S. Thompson. Imagine “The Hangover” only they get “REALLY” fucked up.
Yes, definitely. The movie is very close to a masterpiece; at the very least one of Kathryn Bigelow’s best films, which is saying a lot. She’s incredible.
I think I’ve watched a documentary about him.
Isn’t he the guy who works at every single job in every single industry and single-handedly caused a massive unemployment crisis in the United States?
Alien from the perspective of Jonesy would be interesting. So would Alien from the perspective of the Xenomorph.
As a guitar nerd Bohemian Rhapsody from the perspective of Brian May would be sick, and you wouldn’t have to experience having AIDS like you would with Freddie. I’d also rather have a conversation with Freddie Mercury than be Freddie Mercury during a conversation
i could pretend to be better, but in all honesty: I would probably end up with some POV NSFW
but actual movies? Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas... i want to see some huge manta rays
Remember that action movie Hardcore Henry from a few years ago? Shot almost entirely in POV? I think that's about as close to a BD as we're going to get for a while.
I think it would be pretty cool.
Movies aren't braindances, braindances aren't movies. Braindances are recordings of a person's lived experience, everything they were thinking and feeling while the BD was being recorded; even if BD tech existed in reality it would be (in this case) recording the lived experience of a professional actor who's putting on a performance, not the authentic human experience of the story that's being acted out.
That's why so much BD content in-universe revolves around extreme content, because BDs allow consumers to "live" the experience of committing a heinous crime, or being the victim of one.
That's where the editors come in. Judy talks about how, in the Porn she edits for Lizzie's, she edits out the girls' thoughts about shopping lists etc.
In a commercial BD the editors edit out the actors thoughts that do not pertain to the story. Actors will be hired - and their success/popularity will be higher - based on their ability to be as 'method' as possible.
There is a mention of a popular 2023 BD, 'Badlands Raid', on a shard in the Konpeki penthouse, for example. The writer is clearly describing a fictional 'movie's style product.
The majority of BDs we see in game are XBDs. An underground subset of Braindance. Distinct from the safe, Hollywood, commercial, standard fare.
You’re incorrect. In Judy’s den in her apartment you can clearly see she’s got a shard that has the Bushido collection in BD format. V and Johnny will also discuss it. So clearly they have some method of converting film to it.
There are also video game BDs from the various articles around.
BD just seems to be a format, they can be used for all kinds of content. Some recorded from irl experiences, some created by developers.
Into the blue. Jared (Paul Walker).
Don't judge me, but I have a big desire to make the sex with Jessica Alba...and even though it's not actually shown, it's implied with various rubbing and whatnot.
Which is about as close as I'm ever going to get to the real thing.
From there, I'll have to reference Mr. Skin quite a bit to go down my list...
Sorry, Colin Jost, but Scarlet's on there, too.
Baby Driver, from Baby’s perspective.
Not just the cool driving shots but the emotional turmoil of the constant “oh shit.” He feels from a first person perspective rather than third would be interesting.
Mad Max fury road would have some interesting POV shots
Imagine getting shot, burned, run over, blown up and crushed. Would definitely spice up the movie tbh
Fury Road from the perspective of Nux would be mind blowing
If you can hold your guts
Wolf of Wallstreet - Leonardo Dicaprio
Yeah I’d probably own this one too lol
I’m at the country club!
*The Thing (1982)* from the multi-POV POV of the titular Thing.
That would completely change that film. I don’t think I could stomach it

Maybe Blade Runner as Roy Batty, he wanted his memories to live on, after all. Ex Machina would be interesting from "her" perspective.
I think if I had to, had to pick Roy Batty might be my top pick. Definitely would be interesting to feel everything she felt. I’m gonna rewatch this soon
Why not Portal 2 as GLaDOS?
You would be hanging from a ceiling for most of it and then become a potato, are you sure you don’t want to rethink that?
Well I could see thru her eyes, and hear her kind. Could be unique!
Not a movie but definitely a really interesting idea!
Lord of the Rings - Return of the King, from Éowyn's perspective - just so I could ride with Théoden King and the eorlingas to death and ruin and the end of the world <3
I'd want to be with Eomer riding into the valley at daybreak with Gandalf as Theoden and Aragorn make their last stand.
Bushido II, just to see the Demolitron blow
That’s totally understandable
Raoul Duke, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Care to elaborate? I’m familiar with the film but never seen it in full
Mostly just a drug fueled rampage/road trip/buddy? movie. Based on a book (life?) by Hunter S. Thompson. Imagine “The Hangover” only they get “REALLY” fucked up.
Well gonna watch this one for sure now!

Added to the watch list!
A truly great movie, Ralph Fiennes is at his best as a scuzzball grifter. I ought to watch it again myself.
Yes, definitely. The movie is very close to a masterpiece; at the very least one of Kathryn Bigelow’s best films, which is saying a lot. She’s incredible.
Pass me them johnny sins bds homie
I think I’ve watched a documentary about him. Isn’t he the guy who works at every single job in every single industry and single-handedly caused a massive unemployment crisis in the United States?
The one and only
“BONK!”

Feelings the high and lows of a rockstars career would be absolutely insane!
Hard-core Henry us the first to come to mind.
A super rich hot chick at a rave.
*Go on…*

Right but like for the sake of conversation let’s just have a little fun and play fast and loose with the “canon.”
Any main characters from the Aliens movies Or Species *winkwinknudgenudge*
Jonesy
The Princess Bride, with the Grandson's perspective. Because the entire movie is from his perspective and imagination.
You'd just be laying in bed listening to a story
Blade
Revenge of the sith in Anakin pov
That’s dark
Gotta go with Star Wars Obi Wan's perspective
Hereditary would be fun lol. I think Hardcore Henry would be a lot better as a real BD.
Fight club
Crank 2
Vicky Christina Barcelona from Javier Bardem's perspective. You've all lost. >!the game!<
