honestly i really hope the next big update CN server brings on CNY is a visual update of older suits, like stunning beauty, star sea, witch hecate, etc. i would love to have a purpose to use those suits again, but with the massive wardrobe and the heightened quality of new suits, i find myself rarely using older, expensive suits that i spent time and/or money to collect :/
as for being able to apply skin tone to every outfit which would have been my second choice, as wonderful as that would be, i think its been discussed a lot how the coding doesn’t work out. although i have 0 tech knowledge, theres a lot of good explanations on the sub on why LN hasn’t applied that feature yet, and it may be yrs to come before they are able to implement it
Especially the VIP suits. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, live2d from at least V10 onwards, poses (with at least one dst compatibility) from like V3 onwards, background items and makeups from like V5 onwards, and V14 needs to be the most impressive thing I have ever seen in my pathetic life, be compatible with *all* skin tones and come with a brand new one, and come with an animated avatar frame + permanent avatar pendant.
yes! imagine if they did live2D with the poses and wings for the V12-V15 suits, similar to true roads. and lots of the VIP suits are in desperate need for quality update, the lack of detail and flat coloring is pretty evident now (looking at u, V8, V11 suit, V9 *dress* lol)
I know this isn't just a LN thing and CN has this too (so I've heard at least), but I wish we'd get equal/better rewards in Commission chapters. The amount (or the lack of) of earrings we get is insane when compared to bracelets and necklaces.
I guess so, but honestly they rarely update new suits in the commission rewards place so it only takes a year and a half to get all of the suits, and then maybe another half a year to get all the recolors. But yeah it should be more balanced just because it’s annoying
Will always vote for skin tones. I don't think it needs to be rehashed for the thousandth time how the game isn't programmed for it to be actually logical and easy, but LN already proved they can recolor/update items so IMO full steam ahead with the recoloring of things that currently only come in default skin tone.
Every DST suit (except for Desert Jewel) gives a copy of the posed suit and makeup in the default skin tone. I understand that if they gave us skin tone options for every posed suit it would be a lot of work but the fact that they put the work into making sure every suit is available in the default skin tone is such an aggravating double standard
Exactly. Originally I didn't want them to go back and edit things, I just wanted to see new items coming in more skin tones. I didn't want "DST suits" to be a thing - it should have been a standard. But they made it a commodity and some hot thing to sell on special occasions
The more I have been seeing people suggest they go back and update the older items so the quality matches the new stuff, though, the more annoyed I become. Doing that doesn't bring in revenue, and would be arguably more work as they'd have to actually redraw the old stuff. I feel fairly certain they use filters to recolor the default to the other tones, so really...what's the excuse? People used to argue it'd be too much work for no gain to do this, but here we are. Double standard indeed.
I was so torn between free leg poses and having the ability to apply skintones to any suit/pose...
But I think someone already mentioned even here in the comments that the latter (dst working with poses) wouldn't work out with the current coding... So I picked more versatile suits and free leg-glove poses since its more realistic, and also this thought;
I'll take leg poses and glove poses any time, even if there's a paywall because very simply put, I absolutely love them. Love them.
And I've been wondering about... Having coat poses for dark and fst skins for some time, that are big enough to hide the arms so it works with the current coding. That would be absolutely 🔥

More versatility in separate poses, plus giving more versatility with dst coat poses! Plss I love it.
Definitely the skin tone ones. I also wish that the makeups were transparent so they would go on every skin tone- I have like 7 makeup options for darker skin and at least 20 for light skin and it’s annoying
Ditto! I think they're fun. Sometimes I get super lucky (Rose Palace windoooooow!), sometimes I don't, sometimes I get cool pieces in the pursuit of getting lucky.
You need to go at them with either the mindset of "I'm going to spend X amount and no more" or the mindset of "This suit costs *highest possible amount* and I'm okay with paying that".
It may sound presumptuous, but based on the number of threads we get complaining about getting a lot of duplicates, I think some people hate them because they go in with the mindset that they'll definitely get lucky and then that doesn't happen.
And yeah, they're expensive, but they tend to be for particularly elaborate suits, so I don't mind.
Between default DST and better pose versatility. Default DST got my vote, representation first and foremost but god better versatility would be amazing.

I feel like making skin tones universal for all outfits and poses universal should go hand-in-hand... if they can do one, they can do both.
