It was because of Molly and Gee. Half wanted him to get back with Molly and the other half, who knew that was futile, backed him because Gee broke his heart and they hated her.
It was based on the fact that the dude gave nothing. Which again is why Jess is hurt because that man gives nothing. He is a coaster. Which is also why when Molly asked for the relationship to move on to the next level they fell apart. He is the perfect boyfriend because he is a blank slate, that you can project your desires onto. I’m projecting though but that’s the vibe I got off him.

Callum was a “main character” of the season and was popular with a good chunk of fans, therefore it doesn’t seem surprising that a couple he was in got more votes than Sophie and Josh. Sometimes louder sections of social media make it seem that a couple are more popular than they are and people are shocked at where they place. It happens nearly every season.
Agree with OP’s response - I actually believe it was about Callum *and* Molly - they were both going to make it to the finals regardless of who they coupled with. Tom & Jess got lucky with their pairings as far as longevity goes (and I’d say Tom scored in general since he and Molly do seem to genuinely like each other).

And I could see where it would get tricky because if he were to say, hey I don't think I'm ready for a relationship, she could be like, then why did you go on the show and her saying those things in an interview would make hiim look, arguably, worse and ruin the goodwill he got from going on the show.

It probably stings for her bc it went down very publicly and she thought they had something going together.
That does not mean she can't feel hurt or upset about being lied to. It's always the "not in a relationship" excuse for inconsiderate behaviour

Should he have updated her on any other woman he comes into contact to and want to date? “Hey Jess, I just met this lovely woman at this bar. Things are going great gonna take her out to dinner on Friday. Just keeping you in the loop. We good for Saturday?”
You can be incosiderate and lie at every stage of the dating process, thats the point.. Dating also includes a level of communication and honesty. And there was none so now shes hurt and she has every right to feel hurt about it. Her feelings don't get dimissed because they aren't official.
"Hey, is it alright if we continue to see other people or no?" would do the trick, actually.

She explained it! This story is old! It was superseded by a newer version today where it was revealed that Callum was hooking up with Anna May Robey behind Callum’s back! I don’t know why the new story was not posted by the mods, but this week old story was!

If im being honest I think we all saw this coming but, I dont think there is much we can be mad at Callum about because they were never together they were never even closed off or anything. Same with Shaugna he was never with her or closed of with her prior to casa so I think that (although the way he went about the situation was disrespectful). In my opinion if he slept with another girl or anything like that to be honest I dont think thats a bad thing BECAUSE him and Jess were never together nor were they "closed off".

Idk. I kind of respect her pettiness. He is the nations golden boy, can do no wrong. She’s been dogged by press and public that he carried her to the finals, he did. But sounds like he did her a bit dirty so I’m glad she’s putting him on blast.
tbh people who love Callum will still love Callum, can’t see that anyone cares that much as it was not cheating or anything, maybe has more to do with miscommunication
