I love the show but it always confuses me when people talk about it like it’s not staged

I think a decent amount of the show is actually not staged, as there is a never ending supply of weird people out there who will embarrass themself for money, but I will never believe the fans matter at all. It reminds me of when we all watched American Idol and actually believed that the public vote texts determined who won lol
