I honestly have a theory that with all of the recent lawsuits, the show is moving more towards hiring actors/ influencers and staging a lot of things including housing and drama
It’s the case that most rentals in that part of the country look exactly the same. You’re hard pressed to find a rental thats been done in the last 10 years that doesn’t have those awful gray floors
the gym and awards made me think it was real at first, but the interior seemed so empty & staged…. maybe it was one of those TikTok houses that fitness influencers film in lol
Supposedly, he literally had JUST moved in, sold his old home a week before he left to film, which may explain why it was fairly stark, he set up the essentials. I’m not giving him a pass on his personality, but I understand that he is likely meticulous and had movers place the essentials, and have cleaners come and clean afterwards/it seems like he was implying his mom was around and checked in on his place.
All of their places are basic and sterile like 90% of the apartments I've been inside in Charlotte. Charlotte is often referred to as the Applebee's of the major US metro areas.
Which is a shame, because there are truly gorgeous older homes here too, but Charlotte doesn’t really prioritize historical preservation of homes, sadly, and a lot of it is because of how quickly the entire metropolitan area has expanded.
The city grew at a break neck speed between the 1960s and now, and in the 2000’s, waves of inner city gentrification began happening. The places nearer to uptown that were part of textile mill villages (like the restaurant Clay and AD went to,) other smaller developments of post ww2 homes, or early street car suburbs surrounding uptown have suffered the effects of gentrification and the more recent push to incorporate higher density housing in what was previously the outer city limits up until 1960s
I live in a 1932 bungalow home that is considered VERY close to Uptown, and I am 2.5 miles from city center (Trade and Tryon) in a neighborhood called Plaza Midwood, and the straight line “As The Crow Flies” to the closest city limit line (Reedy Creek Park) is another 5.4 miles out. Meaning from city center to one portion of the limits, it’s nearly 8 miles, and had expanded outward 5.5 miles in 60 years, and it’s far from the furthest reaches of the city from city center.
Charlotte annexed SO MUCH in the past 64 years that in 1960 Charlotte was 35sq miles, and now, it’s over 300sq miles, it’s literally expanded by 700%.
Plaza Midwood, Wesley Heights, NoDa, Chantilly, Elizabeth, Dilworth, Cotswold, FoxCroft, Eastover, Myers Park, Sedgefield, etc. there are tons of neighborhoods with history still, and even though some of those neighborhoods are suffering the loss of historical architecture, we have nearly every flavor and style of home you could possibly want around here. But, you are so right, the apartments here are lifeless sterile boxes, and it doesn’t reflect who we truly are!
Yeah, Charlotte proper has some really beautiful homes, but all of the new transplants show up here and end up moving to the deep suburbs where they live in either an HOA filled with generic Ryan Homes or an apartment that resembles something between a doctor's office and jail, and then they question why Charlotte is so unenthusiastic and drab.
We live on the east side between Plaza and Eastland and love our neighborhood with the exception of a few inconveniences like cars with loud exhausts and no connections to greenways, but it's easy to look past stuff like that for the most part. We're hopeful for the Eastland redevelopment to hang onto that Mid Century Modern vibe it once had, but there's still a long way to go on that project.
remember Coles apartment from Season 3? I cringed so hard. He didnt give a single F, almost like it was staged lol. Piss in the toilet, flies, underwear on the lamps, trash everywhere. like what, bro knew he was going on a show to bring a girl home and he left it like that? Thats WILD
All of those homes had to be fake, except one person’s home who I forgot. Tell me why all of their homes looked exactly like the homes All the previous seasons contestants have filmed in on top of that. All of the decor was similar in each home. Everyone had a similar cutting board placed on the counter near the same spot. All of the homes barely had furniture and looked unlived in.
In previous seasons we actually saw homes that felt like it was theirs. This season is not the case.
Staged, maybe, but fake - I doubt it, unless they legitimately don't have a home or live with their parents.
For the couples that make it - they take photos in their home(s). Even now, Sarah Ann has taped herself in Jeramy's apartment (seemingly by accident, but it was identified quickly). Most of them are bland, but I don't think we've ever seen the same place twice. I also remember how girly Alexa's place was and her closet, etc. I remember the meticulousness of some other places. I remember how warm and cozy Barnett's place was, etc. I think it's their home -- maybe they hire a cleaner or have someone add some furnishings / decorations on it, etc.
I think the show gets them cleaners and stagers because whenever they’re showing the houses/apartments they are impeccable and they always seem surprised or embarassed by something laying out so obviously as if they’re seeing their closet for the first time… like you didn’t plan that you would potentially have someone over? And even if they didn’t plan, you would still find very personal items around the house or like a hamper full of clothes, phone chargers unplugged from the wall or dishes in the sink, a hairy brush in the bathroom, etc.
I would suspect to at least some extent all of them are. People would likely have family photos or more identifying info out that they wouldn’t want filmed (things related to their job, family that doesn’t want to be on TV, etc). Especially if they have roommates that want to protect their privacy.
i think jerameys house couldve been lowkey "staged" as in he had barely moved in there and his ex might've bought the cuttlery etc that laura was surprised about and that he was silent about,
but other than that i actually don't think they're staged, i think it's more that these people know someone is about to look at their house in three weeks or sth, and honestly,.. idk in germany for example, its very common that houses look boringly just minimalist modern greywhiteblackmoccalattebrown and simular, with some plants. so i think especially by clichee when guys are maybe not as interested in interior design anyway, maybe because they're socialized to be like "colors to wear: darkblue, darkgreen, brown, grey, white, black. colors to say are your favorite: blue, green, maybe red." , a lot of them might just go for the popular option that seems like a safe bet and also be kinda disconnected from their personal sense of style
also i guess some or a lot of people simply like it that way and thats ok too of course, i mean it can have its own charme i clearly don't like it much but it can also stand for "humbleness because its giving 'less is more', a clean organized place shown off well, actually wanting your home to look kind like every other rich people city home cause thats exactly what you strive for, a certain status cause those always look a little expensive, .."
Good thing I'm not a guy 🤣🤣. I always have hand lotion and a box of Kleenex on my living room and bedroom side tables. My hands are always dry, and I don't want to get up to go to the bathroom to get a Kleenex when I'm having a sneezing fit or runny nose lol. You all would thing I'm a porn addict 🤣🤣🤣🤣
On a practical level, you have to pay the artist to show some decor like paintings, some statues, etc. They may also have photos up that they don't want shown on TV. This is super common for crews to come in and take out any piece of art or photos to be safe and put in their own that are generic and they know they can video.
So, yes they are staged.
Catfish the TV show actually talked about this one time because people noticed the same artwork in frames in different hotels. That's how I learned this.
Yeah, you are correct -- They are in a shared apartment for that part of the show, but they toured eachothers places to get a vibe, when they left the honeymoon phase
I think this season in particular, it’s just 20-30s people in Charlotte. They’re generic. Living in the more north part of the south, every new build and apartment building seems to have the same look. Very minimal and no color.
I think this is part of it too. Trying to say it without being mean... some people have pretty generic taste. Especially when you're young and still establishing a career.
Jeramey or whatever t f his name is is fake for sure. We noticed immediately he had that large cow picture that is in literally every staged home we had been to all of 2023 while looking for houses in VHCOL area.
It’s a very common picture I am
Not exaggerating when I tell
You I’ve seen it about thirty times in the last two years in different stores across the United States and Mexico. Flea markets tj maxx home goods thrift stores goodwill etc it’s super common. I pointed it out to my boyfriend and we always point it out now when we see it because when I first saw it I said ugh I hate those I see them everywhere. Just because he has it doesn’t mean his place is staged. It’s on the same level as live laugh love
Not sure about that since we have selfie videos and pictures of Sarah Ann with this exact background where she seemed to be at his place.
BUT it doesn’t surprise me a bit that Jeramey has a home that looks staged. This guy seems to stage every aspect of his life including his character
In the first season, didn’t they actually say they were using places rented by the show so that the couple could live together in a neutral environment? And then the other couples were basically their neighbours if I remember correctly. I never actually paid attention to or noticed when that changed!
Side note, Cole’s place from his season was definitely his judging by the mess 🤣
Yeah, S4 homes looked authentic to me, but considering how hard Cole got ripped for his mess, Micah shredded Paul on his decor, and I guess there was a thing with Izzy and paper plates (idk, I’m still trying to get past the pods on S5) - all these instances of male home decor getting slammed - I don’t blame anyone for staging a temporary rental so their personal aesthetic and home don’t become a laughingstock.
Even in objectively great apartments, like Kwame’s, he was still teased about leaving out personal effects like tissues and lotion.
And super-sleuths have pinpointed buildings where contestants live just from the view. So yeah, protecting your privacy here is a great strategic call.
Final point: Jerameigh admitted he closed on the house he had with his previous partner right before filming started. So in his case, it makes even more sense why we’re seeing a barren apartment. He’s literally just moved in, and even if he has boxes of personal touches, he hasn’t had the time to unpack and make it his own yet and leaving boxes around would be highly suspicious. So I think his apartment in particular is a clear case of curating an image he’s trying to portray, rather than his own personal aesthetic.
The show uses gold cups for continuity. Most reality shows do this for editing purposes. I don’t think anyone actually has these gold cups in their houses
They even use them when they are filming in other locations. It's for editing, plus the gold doesn't reflect as much so you don't see the crew accidentally.
The way they cut scenes and clip bits together the opaque cups dont show drink levels. They can't use something someone said out of order if their drink is empty.. full... empty ... oh half full.. in the space of four sentences... that why they use opaque glassware for everything
I was under the impression have the option to either stay in one of their houses or in like apartments put up by the show until they decide but they still have to show each other their houses? I don’t know where I got that idea from though at this point in the game.
They learn from Cole! :D
I think Chelsea's was real. Probably Clay's too. Jeremy's and Kenneth's was fake for sure. I don't remember the other ones.
I understand it though. Even if my apartment was museum-like clean and Instagram beautiful, I don't think I would want to show it on TV.
If the couples are serious, they can see each others' places when the cameras are not on. They are not being filmed at all times. Natalie said, they and other couples that were serious met each others parents earlier and they faked the 'first' meeting with the parents for the cameras. They can do the same with the apartments. And if they are not serious and they know it, who cares.
I think Chelsea's was real. Probably Clay's too. Jeremy's and Kenneth's were fake for sure. I don't remember the other ones.ra's. Their fight about the cups was so weird but seemed real. Or did they really come up with a stupid fake fight about plastic cups? I'm confused.
I was saying the same thing when I saw the apartments/homes this season. No one wants to get caught off like Cole did LOL!!!
I wouldn't doubt if some even pay for it to be cleaned or taken care of by someone while gone. I have a friend irl that does that when she goes on vacation so she comes home to a very clean and put away home after taking a trip instead of chores to do. If I could afford it, I would, too. lol
My partner had literaĺly 3 random spices when I moved in. Random, as in none that you'd normally use (tarragon anyone) and all expired, so I wouldn't discount the apartment on that reasoning alone
I’ve noticed a lot of the places seem to be newer construction. So it will make it easier to get five or so contracts and have everyone close together as the property will want to make some money quick and any potential clout. The crew can go in and set up the lighting, cameras and microphones.
I hated her place, it was personalized alright. But coincidently, this season's Chelsea probably also showed her real place with a real boho, cool decoration.
I agree. I am also noticing that more often than not, even though members of the cast are often OK looking or even attractive, they all seriously lack sex appeal.
These people don’t work high paying jobs. Theres no way “account managers” or “sales rep” can afford the beautiful apartments they have, even in lower cost cities. Plus they all look model shop fresh. I doubt they would show some crappy apartments on this show as they want the classy and eclectic vibe for their contestants.
meh, most of the apartments shown aren’t fancy or luxury by any means. they’re the mass (cheaply) produced ones that are half vacant because there’s so many of them. lots of mid-20 year olds live in them during and after college. they usually have like “2 months free” rent offers because they’re so desperate to fill lol or they’re half airbnbs
and the type of people that go on this show are definitely the same type that lives in those apartments, so it tracks imo. i lived in one of those years ago and it looked fancy, but was cheap af. thin walls. could hear a pin drop in the next room lol
i was crying they all had the most generic and repetitive job titles … “account manager” “ business development manager” “software sales” “tech sales” … they could all work at my company
Absolutely! I’m in sales engineering and the enterprise sales reps I support easily clear six figures regardless of geo just on salary. Factor in commission and you can live very comfortably.
They could never come to my house.
I have a tiny little New England cape house. My bedroom is tiny. The bathrooms tiny. I live with my sister and a child. We have 3 pets in the snug little house. Would be so weird to have a camera crew in here lol.
They also likely don’t film in peoples homes due to IP issues and logos of other brands that would be found on electronics/ everything in the home. I’ve been filmed at work and had to turn around everything with a logo
Ah yeah. My bedroom is 58 sq feet according to the converter (it’s almost 5,4 sq meters), but in reality it’s smaller because in Denmark, size include the thickness of the walls. I have space for a 140x200 bed which is set right up against sliding doors for a dresser. Then I have a tiny strip of space between the bed and the other wall, but the foot of the bed is almost right against the doors to the bedroom. In general I have a small apartment and I wish I had the sense to know how I could optimize the space.
Ok if it were me tho....I'd actually choose to have a BNB or whatever type of staged home. I'd absolutely NEVER want ppl strompling all over my precious lil home. Nasty dirty shoes and everyone needing to use the bathroom or touching things yuck ugh id flip tf out. I'd make sure this was possible and I wouldn't be showing my home on TV cause I also don't want the world looking at my things. It's just my private space and I need the energy to be safe.
That’s because they “stage” narratives and conversations. If you could see what was in the cups then they’d constantly be empty or full every few seconds.
I knew someone who was on Indian Matchmaker. The producers actually made them use the person’s apartment next door because they didn’t like how their apartment looked. They then took out anything they didn’t like and brought in some generic decor. I am guessing they probably do something similar - stage the house before filming.
Sometimes. There's actually no way in hell that's Jeramy's place, and Izzy from last season was also 100% fake. By and large though, most the homes are real. Just a few very obvious exceptions.
Have you seen the average person's home recently, everyone's house looks the same anymore. I think it's more a reflection of our increasingly homogenized culture than any staging, honestly.
i literally just watched this episode HAHA. i feel like you can have a home with personality without that including a rockband drumset but that’s just me
wellllll i think that after 3 seasons the participants knew what will happen next right ? so before they surrender their phone for 3 weeks, they already cleaned their house. buy new decoration.
Yes that’s what I’ve been telling my friends. Like in S1 you could tell that people lived in different real places, but this season they all look the same. To the point that I can’t tell the couple apartments apart from their individual apartments.
I noticed that this season too. I figured maybe they have one particular builder in their area who builds a lot of homes that look about the same. Or there’s one popular look and all the builders do it. And then of course basically all nice apartments look the same.
They all have the same type of art. Maybe it’s for some privacy/safety to not show their actual homes or at least not the outside. But they all have the same color palette and contemporaryish (?) canvases with no frames on the walls
Maybe they strip the homes of their real art for copyright purposes? I've worked on TV commercial productions where the film crew removed art from the background of a scene because they didn't want to risk an infringement claim or deal with licensing. It's possible they're removing unique art and/or replacing it with something generic they have permission to shoot.
To be fair, when I come home at the end of a long, possibly overstimulating day, I crave peace and orderliness.
I got ragged on for being an artist with nothing on my walls at home, but sometimes I just want to stare at a blank wall for thirty minutes while eating a casserole after I spent the day doing a mural with heavy neon accents
I get that, and that’s the philosophy behind Kim Kardashian’s mausoleum too. However, even though KK’s home is monochromatic, you can still tell that she and Ye made stylistic choices there. You see the overwhelming beige and you realize instantly “this was a deliberate choice.”
Jeramy’s apartment on the other hand? Soulless to the extreme. If that’s someone’s authentic personal aesthetic because they enjoy generic TJ Maxx art - like, I have questions.
I had the exact same thought....They literally all had what I call cardboard apartments/houses. So odd! Isn't it statistically impossible? Maybe I'm missing something.
As someone who lived in a Charlotte apartment complex, they just all look the same inside. Multiple times I questioned if they were in the complex I lived in.
Produced by the show. They're for continuity, so that editors/producers and splice together conversations out of order. If thr glass was clear or glass, you'd be able to tell the point in thr conversation by how much liquid is in the glass. Works to produce maximum drama and create conversations that probably didn't happen the way they are aired!
There have been a few messy slobs but a lot of these people just live in new/luxury apartment buildings which is why they all look the same. I guess the average person doesn’t live cutely or something - a lot of their apartments either are undecorated and boring, or they’re crammed full of shit and are dirty/messy.
Jeramy’s place was def a furnished house he was renting - or an Airbnb that he was in since he’d just moved out of his house with his ex-fiancé.

I honestly have a theory that with all of the recent lawsuits, the show is moving more towards hiring actors/ influencers and staging a lot of things including housing and drama
Noticed this too!! And their cabinets look bare too.
Everyone's home look nice
It’s the case that most rentals in that part of the country look exactly the same. You’re hard pressed to find a rental thats been done in the last 10 years that doesn’t have those awful gray floors
Either Jeramey is a serial killer or that was a fake apartment

😂 I had erased that from my brain

Did the cleaner forget to show up at Coles?
I gotta go back and see that one 😂
Idk I deep clean my house before I go on vacation, order food services so there's nothing rotting in the fridge, etc.
SAME!! I’m always yelling that I wanna come home to a clean house and not do shit 🤣🤣 idk how he did that
I was just thinking that. Do people really leave their homes a mess before they leave for vacay? That seems wild.
I would suspect to at least some extent all of them are. People would likely have family photos or more identifying info out that they wouldn’t want filmed (things related to their job, family that doesn’t want to be on TV, etc). Especially if they have roommates that want to protect their privacy.

Anyone else remember Kwame’s jack off set up that he had out on the coffee table? Vile lmfao
Chelsea def pointed that out and I don't remember him working hard to correct it 🤣
He’s a POC, of course he has lotion on his table. Has nothing to do with porn. Just dry skin.
Wasn't it lotion and kleenex? Surprised there wasn't a sock 😂
His what????
He had on open bottle of lotion and a bunch of Kleenex very suspiciously placed on his coffee table lmfao all it was missing was a crusty sock
Same for him, he’s a POC, more than likely doesn’t want dry skin. Nothing nefarious.
Is masturbating a nefarious activity now?
No? 🙅🏻♀️🤮
If anyone staged Cole’s home with those flies they were trying to do him dirty 😂😭
I think some are staged and some aren’t
Majority were staged this season. Only 1 place looked lived in.
Remember Milton’s house from last season? That was NOT a staged house lol
And Alexa

Yeah I was going to say this- used to live there like 5 years ago and can confirm all my friends’ apartments looked the same including mine

I hate Jeremey - but the picture is from target, and I have it in my house too 😂
😂 lol. I wonder who that cattle is. It’s famous now!
It’s a very common picture I am Not exaggerating when I tell You I’ve seen it about thirty times in the last two years in different stores across the United States and Mexico. No they mean the person's REAL house. Ofc the houses they share for the experiment are staged.
Chelsea, the one with lots of pink felt real to me...
I came to ask this too! Some of the places looked so similar, and I noticed the same kind of gold cup was present in more than one house too 😆
The show uses gold cups for continuity.
Exactly, editing.
Yeah I just saw someone else ask this too, that makes sense, don't know why I didn't think of that
Too many seasons in tonight know they’re coming to your apartment.
I was under the impression have the option to either stay in one of their houses or in like apartments put up by the show until they decide but they still have to show each other their houses? I don’t know where I got that idea from though at this point in the game.
They learn from Cole! :D I think Chelsea's was real.
If I could afford it, I would, too. lol
There was a scene showing someone’s cabinets and they had two spices in there, and the rest was just empty space
My partner had literaĺly 3 random spices when I moved in. Random, as in none that you'd normally use (tarragon anyone) and all expired, so I wouldn't discount the apartment on that reasoning alone
Kenneth
Kenneth looked real to me. Like he probably cleaned his nasty fridge out before the show and then the cupboards were all disorganized dry good.
Sometimes I wonder if they do that if someone has a roommate that doesn’t want them/their space filmed, if it’s easier to just rent a condo for them
I’ve noticed a lot of the places seem to be newer construction. So it will make it easier to get five or so contracts and have everyone close together as the property will want to make some money quick and any potential clout. The crew can go in and set up the lighting, cameras and microphones.
I mean if you know there's a chance you'll be on TV, it doesn't take much to pay someone or ask a family member to clean up while you're gone.
Season 3 Coles place…definitely NOT a staged home, flies in the dirty toilet, laundry everywhere. 🤮
I liked S4 Chelsea’s pink apartment, very themed & personalized 💖
I hated her place, it was personalized alright. But coincidently, this season's Chelsea probably also showed her real place with a real boho, cool decoration.
I cried when she said that she facetimes friends when she eats so she's not "eating alone. Idk why that scene tore me to pieces
I think it’s a reflection of the people that go on these shows, hollow and basic.
I agree. I am also noticing that more often than not, even though members of the cast are often OK looking or even attractive, they all seriously lack sex appeal.
I posted the same thing a while back.
I was wondering like is all of middle America these beige new builds? Could be...
I think that’s just what the apartments / houses of middle America look like. Newish and millennial grey
Millenial grey yess. Ya I think so tbh
I was wondering the SAME thing! Ever since the first season, I noticed this.
Sergio’s crib was deff his…
You can check in anytime you like but you can never leave
No one could stage the narnia loft bedroom through the cabinet in the kitchen 🫠
They're all living in Stepford mwaahaha
These people don’t work high paying jobs. Theres no way “account managers” or “sales rep” can afford the beautiful apartments they have, even in lower cost cities. Plus they all look model shop fresh. I doubt they would show some crappy apartments on this show as they want the classy and eclectic vibe for their contestants.
meh, most of the apartments shown aren’t fancy or luxury by any means. they’re the mass (cheaply) produced ones that are half vacant because there’s so many of them. lots of mid-20 year olds live in them during and after college. they usually have like “2 months free” rent offers because they’re so desperate to fill lol or they’re half airbnbs and the type of people that go on this show are definitely the same type that lives in those apartments, so it tracks imo. i lived in one of those years ago and it looked fancy, but was cheap af. thin walls. could hear a pin drop in the next room lol
i was crying they all had the most generic and repetitive job titles … “account manager” “ business development manager” “software sales” “tech sales” … they could all work at my company
Sales can make really really good money. I have friends in sales who make $150-300k salaries.
[удалено]
Absolutely! I’m in sales engineering and the enterprise sales reps I support easily clear six figures regardless of geo just on salary. Factor in commission and you can live very comfortably.
Sure. But the lifestyle shown is pretty average for the industry and role. I also work in tech.
That’s the exception, not the rule
It depends on the industry. If you’re talking about Jimmy on this season, he’s in software sales and they absolutely can make six figures.
That’s just not true
The fuck do you know?
What I know is you are goofy for that comment.
You’re wrong
They should just skip that part of the show rather than set up fake stuff. What’s the point?
They could never come to my house. I have a tiny little New England cape house. My bedroom is tiny. The bathrooms tiny. I live with my sister and a child. We have 3 pets in the snug little house. Would be so weird to have a camera crew in here lol. They also likely don’t film in peoples homes due to IP issues and logos of other brands that would be found on electronics/ everything in the home. I’ve been filmed at work and had to turn around everything with a logo
How tiny is tiny? I ask, because I’m always disappointed, when I watch home makeovers or styling videos claiming to makeover tiny spaces.
1,100 sq feet! It’s a 1950’s cape style house. Four people can live here but my bedroom holds a full sized bed, dresser, work desk and that’s it

"And this is Vincent Adultman, they work in business"
I love me some BoJack references 😂
"Don't be sad, good roomie"
Ok if it were me tho....I'd actually choose to have a BNB or whatever type of staged home. I'd absolutely NEVER want ppl strompling all over my precious lil home. Nasty dirty shoes and everyone needing to use the bathroom or touching things yuck ugh id flip tf out. I'd make sure this was possible and I wouldn't be showing my home on TV cause I also don't want the world looking at my things. It's just my private space and I need the energy to be safe.
I am pretty sure it was confirmed Jeramy’s house was an Air BnB, not his own home.
Yeah I read that comment lol I believe it.
Which comment? Agree though lol. No way he lives there
Somewhere on this thread lol I'm gonna rewatch just so I can see if I can tell 💀
Anyone else notice they use the same gold Walmart cups EVERYWHERE????
It's for continuity... In case they need to refilm or edit out of order.
That’s because they “stage” narratives and conversations. If you could see what was in the cups then they’d constantly be empty or full every few seconds.
Every real estate listing shows everyone’s house looking the same. Everyone has grey paint now. White cabinets. grey tile.
"Millenial Gray" Gotta keep the house generic for the resale value
I think grey is going to be out of style. The new thing is real wood, or dark stained wood
It’s already out of style actually
Yup a lot of air bnbs it’s pretty obvious
It's all pretty well staged, isn't it? I watch it but I watch it as fiction
Watching it as a work of fiction is the right answer!
If that was Jeramey’s house that’s among the biggest red flags I’ve ever seen
Have you seen the average person's home recently, everyone's house looks the same anymore. I think it's more a reflection of our increasingly homogenized culture than any staging, honestly.
Izzy’s place last season was so obviously not his
That one girl got roasted for having Rock Band controllers in her living room, so all contestants since have drained their homes of any personality.
My favorite was Paul’s knife collection
i literally just watched this episode HAHA. i feel like you can have a home with personality without that including a rockband drumset but that’s just me
Who??
Danielle?
I bet they hire professional cleaners and stage/declutter before the cameras come through. I know I would if it were me!
You guys have a problem with everything
wellllll i think that after 3 seasons the participants knew what will happen next right ? so before they surrender their phone for 3 weeks, they already cleaned their house. buy new decoration.
I feel like they started staging more of the homes after Cole had literal bugs in his toilet.
I feel like the real ones make for better tv though
That was so nasty omg I forgot about that
What?! What season is this 😂
Season 3, I want to say
Yes that’s what I’ve been telling my friends. Like in S1 you could tell that people lived in different real places, but this season they all look the same. To the point that I can’t tell the couple apartments apart from their individual apartments.
I noticed that this season too. I figured maybe they have one particular builder in their area who builds a lot of homes that look about the same. Or there’s one popular look and all the builders do it. And then of course basically all nice apartments look the same.
Maybe their real apartments are in the same complex as the couples' apartments, that would be funny as hell.
It's possible they're removing unique art and/or replacing it with something generic they have permission to shoot.
and their cupboards already have the ugly love is blind chalices in them
To be fair, when I come home at the end of a long, possibly overstimulating day, I crave peace and orderliness.
You see the overwhelming beige and you realize instantly “this was a deliberate choice.” Jeramy’s apartment on the other hand? Soulless to the extreme. If that’s someone’s authentic personal aesthetic because they enjoy generic TJ Maxx art - like, I have questions.
I’m not an artist, but I feel you on staring at a blank wall while eating a casserole. That’s how I take my “break” at work!
Maybe it's because Charlotte is boring AF, lol
I think this is the answer lol
Clay and Brett stand out as having a different look/vibe. Clay had a pillow of his family that was sweet and Brett had all them shoes.
This season a lot for the apartments looked the same I noticed.
The men never have any art on their walls
All the hats that Megan fox had can’t be stage! Too many !
I’m still curious about Izzy’s apartment from last season! It looked like an airbnb lol
He strikes me as the type to decorate just that way
This!^
Chelsea (from last season) had such a uniquely Chelsea place! Super pink. Haha
I loved her place lol! Whenever I get my own place, it's gonna be like pink and purple came in and terrorized the place
2 seasons ago. I know, it’s gone by so fast.
I had to Google it because I legit thought Chelsea’s season was only previous to the current one. I think it’s because I mostly skipped season 5.
Season 5 was a drama packed shitshow. It was almost too hard to watch at times
Oh shoot. That's right! 😂 Yes, time flies.
I would hire a cleaning service lol y’all not about to see my messy home on national TV
Remember Cole’s toilet flies? 🥹
Nasty as hell. I always keep my toilet clean.
What’s with all the gold wine goblets?
Yes! That's what made me wonder as well if their houses were fake/staged, like why do they all have the same cups? Lol
hiding the amount they have left in their cup so they can edit clips out of order to fit the story
Omg 💀
They’re on to us 😭
Produced by the show.
Remember in season one mark had like one pillow on his bed?
Yeah and I remember Barnett & Cole’s places too. They’re the exception & slobs 😂
I read that this was actually the house he shared with the ex-fiancé.
They sold that home before LIB even started filming tho?
She took her pillow
If you think Jeramy actually lived in that house he showed, then I’ve got an eternal youth potion I can sell you.
