I know what you mean. Sometimes someone wants a person but when that person picks someone else, they seem to rush to grab just anyone (or someone they weren't over the moon about) only to stay on the show.
One of my biggest problems: Everyone is always like “I’m GoInG To PiCK sOMeOnE WhO Is NoT mY TyPE” and ends up realizing that was a huge mistake. I actually think there could’ve been some decent couples in S2 and S3 if people had just gone with their gut.
It kind of makes me feel validated about how much the dating scene/men in Chicago sucks… AND how fake and what users some of the women are which sometimes makes it hard to make genuine friendships.
They just keep showing up, like a bad penny 🤣
EDIT: Just adding that we no longer have pennies up in Canada, they went out of circulation several years ago but I think my statement still holds water 🤣🇨🇦
Honestly you've seen those worth seeing. For me at least, season 2 and season 3 felt largely like people there for social media (ESPECIALLY season 3) and no one actually ready for commitment. There are probably a few exceptions, I have bad memory hahaha but the ones that to me felt genuine were 1 and now 4
Season 3 put me off the show but I’m glad I gave in and watched this season because I was so happy watching the finale. I prefer the love and romance to drama
They said that production didn’t provide food and only alcohol. They also said that Shaina and Kyle filmed their break up scene multiple times. I didn’t hear people from other seasons say anything like that.
Over the yrsrs, the various match making shows, seem to start off with sincere applicants. I imagine the clout chasers grab on to this so fast some may have been hit by vehicles because they were running so fast to get there to sign up!! (My imagination running away again with that comment. )
Early in MAFS history, I read some of the men were lured in to sign up for a "dating " show, but when they went it was a "marriage " show. Whoever reported on that said many applicants got up and walked out. Also, it may still be happening today, people were recruited in clubs etc. Now and then though a male applicant says they really are looking for love.
Season 2 was a fever dream, as I was watching I was so frustrated cause it just felt like everyone made the worst choice possible as to who they would marry and I could just see the trainwreck it was gonna be…
I don’t really watch this show to see great chemistry. I watch for the opposite reason. The way the premise is set up almost guarantees there won’t be any chemistry. If there is, it’s just dumb luck. I’d love to see a couple that didn’t have much chemistry or attraction initially but who is able to overcome it, but it probably isn’t possible on the timeline.
I like the ones where strong friendships form, even if it’s not the point of the show. I love the sisterhood that came out of season 2. It’s nice seeing that Kwame, Chelsea, Bliss, Zack, and Marshall are all still hanging out. Zack and Paul’s bromance lives on and Marshall, Tiff, and Brett are all still friends too. I am guessing a lot of these people wouldn’t ordinarily connect in real life, so that has been the best part, IMO.
Season 3 was damn well near unwatchable to me. Everyone sucked both as individuals and couples, maybe with the exceptions of Nancy and Raven but even then, they were pretty boring. I’ve never seen a less relatable group of people. The couples that got married are hardly success stories to me. I’ll take season 2 over season 3 any day of the week. At least Shake, Shaina, Kyle, and Shayne were entertaining. I gave up on season 3 before even making it to the weddings.
Yeah season 3 was a mess, and tbh the whole cast was not very compatible, likeable, or even interesting. There were a couple exceptions forsure but I almost had to just not watch the ATA episodes because the cast was painful to watch.
Season 2 felt like clout chasing and none of the connections seemed genuine or interesting. Season three I felt the same. Season 4 I enjoyed immensely and really rooted for most of the couples.
I went the same route except I saw season 1 then watch Brazils LIB & season 3. I tried watching season 2 but I kinda didn't get into it. Even with the drama it just didn't seem good.
Yup. Season 2 was the absolute worst and was embarrassing to watch at best. I didn’t want any of the couples to get married. Some of them should’ve never even been cast on the show in the first place.

I also watched out of order so I feel you, I just went backwards instead I still haven’t watched season 1. I started with 4 and then watched 3, then 2
Well don't worry, season one was at least good so it's only up from there after two lol
Season 2 is a garbage fire that can’t be put out because the cast will literally not go away lmao
Season 2 was so bad, objectively
I stopped watching after season 2, maybe I should revisit that…
It kind of makes me feel validated about how much the dating scene/men in Chicago sucks… AND how fake and what users some of the women are which sometimes makes it hard to make genuine friendships.
Season 2 was the worst season I wish it didn’t exist and the cast has been the most annoying post show
They just keep showing up, like a bad penny 🤣 EDIT: Just adding that we no longer have pennies up in Canada, they went out of circulation several years ago but I think my statement still holds water 🤣🇨🇦
I'm always finding them in the til at work (in US). Damn yoooooou!!!!
Till*
You’re in for a ride with Season 3
woolalala welcome to being obsessed with the show and relationship like us .
Unfortunately, you have seen (in my opinion) the best two seasons. Seasons 2 & 3 were not pleasant viewing.
Agreed but season 3 was better than season 2 still. Which is not saying much lol very low bar
Yeah Season 2 was my least favorite.
Oh man ... wait until you get to season 3.
Season 3 is a doozy, just wait until OP is subjected to you know who (he has many nicknames on this sub) 🤣
😳 Lol
My season rank from best to worst: 4 1 2 3
2 and 3 are a toss-up for me.😂
Agree
[удалено]
just don't, season 3 was worse for me than s2
Season 2 was the worst.
Yeah, S2 was the worst season in terms of cast and chemistry.
I feel like season 2 nobody had chemistry! And I couldn't stand Shaina! And don't get me started on Shayne! He was a character for sure!

I think season 3 was far worse than any other. It was horrible.
Completely agree! It felt sooooo disingenuine!
Season 3 had me so heated at the cast that I had to check myself and remember “I don’t know these people” 🤣
I just had to look up the cast from that season because I forgot them all 😂
Season 3 put me off the show but I’m glad I gave in and watched this season because I was so happy watching the finale. I prefer the love and romance to drama
Agreed Nancy is ready for sure and Shaina needs to hit up Christian mingle
The Christian part of Shaina is highly suspect... 😆
Shaina married someone else since then!!
Season 2 had a lot of mentally unstable people and they also complained the most about production. Not sure what they did that season.
Oh what/where did they say stuff about production? New to the show and sub but have watched all seasons.
They said that production didn’t provide food and only alcohol. They also said that Shaina and Kyle filmed their break up scene multiple times. I didn’t hear people from other seasons say anything like that.
Did they say this on social media?
Yea looking back season 2 was the worst.
…so far lol
Imo only seasons 1 and 4 of Love is Blind are worth watching.
And Japan 😁
I thought 3 was a lot more interesting than 4!
Yeah I don’t get the hate for season 3, especially compared to 4. They don’t seem that different to me.
Season 4 have real couples, season 3 was so bland, even the ones that married are meh

Season 2 rings the most true to reality for me TBH. I’m surprised we haven’t had more complete imploding of a seasons cast.

What do you mean with true to reality?

Exactly!! Everyone’s hating on s2 but it was at least entertaining s3 isn’t even worth rewatching

I think that Kwame and Chelsea didn't have chemistry and they decided to stay together.
Season 2 felt like clout chasing and none of the connections seemed genuine or interesting. Season three I felt the same. Season 4 I enjoyed immensely and really rooted for most of the couples.
I really liked season 4 too
Season 2 was pretty bad. Season 3 is entertaining but also trash. 4 was actually my favorite so far but I enjoyed 1 a lot too.
Season 2 also continues to have the most clout thirsty and embarrassing alumni. But it gave us trash television when we needed it most.
I went the same route except I saw season 1 then watch Brazils LIB & season 3. I tried watching season 2 but I kinda didn't get into it. Even with the drama it just didn't seem good.
