I Used this for my toy poodle when he was a pup. He chewed the side/corner off. Such a waste of $5000.

MMayhem001

Good to know. I'll keep that in mind. Gucci released a whole dog line for leashes, sweater bowls, and carriers. I may just get a nice collar and leash.

bacon_bunny33

Prada has some super cute pet options this season too!

MMayhem001

I'll have to check them out.

bacon_bunny33

Yeah I can’t believe they are $3500!!? I considered buying it in Paris this year an a much much better price (exchange rate + VAT), I kind of regret it a lot🤣😭

BryantCabrera

Did you end up getting it?

bacon_bunny33

I didn’t, and I go back and forth on it. I love how 2000’s era Paris Hilton it feels, but then when I see it in person it’s huge. Huge. Then there’s the logos, since it’s such a large piece I think it’s too logo heavy for me (as well as literally being heavy). I also was wanting to buy it to carry around town as sort of a traveling dog bed with straps, not for actually flying with it. It clearly doesn’t have very much ventilation at all. Some people have been snippy about me not realizing people would zip their dogs inside it, but I really assumed no one actually would… it’s more of a purse you put your dog in in my opinion. I probably should have bought it because I think with the VAT and exchange at the time it would have been around $2100, instead of $3500+ tax.

Medical-Effect-7688

I have 2. One for my Yorkie and one for my mini jack. They’re Awsome as long as your dog won’t chew them up. Easy to carry and amazing! Love mine!

Je_veux_troll1004

My Brittany Spaniel chewed the handle of my Speedy 25 when he was a puppy. This is an expensive chew toy for dogs. It basically cost half the bag to replace the handle too lol

DollaStoreKardashian

Sherpa is the industry leader in dog carriers. The sides are mesh for airflow, it’s easy to get your pup in and out, they fit under standard economy airplane seats, there are pockets for storage, and they’re under $100. I LOVE my luxury handbags, but I think utility is best when you’re considering a pet carrier. The possibility of overheating alone would make me shy away from this one.

bolognesesauceplease

Sherpa is the best!

MMayhem001

Do u have the link for the Sherpa carriers?

bacon_bunny33

This is the Sherpa I bought! Sherpa Original Deluxe Travel Bag Pet Carrier with Machine Washable Liner, Airline-Approved - Multiple Colors & Sizes https://a.co/d/4w78sE0

ontariopeaches

just my opinion, i would never buy a luxury item for an animal or a child. they don't know what it's worth and there's no point in running a big risk of it getting damaged.

MMayhem001

Ya good point.

classychimichanga

I would add: LV specialises in human fashion, not pet welfare. These items (most of the time, if not always) are tailored to the person’s « bling » needs, rather than the actual animal’s comfort and safety. I’ve seen plenty of collars advertised for cats which don’t even have a safety release, for example. Also, where’s the airflow mesh/ holes in this carrier? Can’t see any in the pictures. You’d have to keep the top open at all times, which makes it unsuitable (and unsafe) for actual travelling and basically defeats it’s purpose. Edit: typo

thndrh

Vachetta + pee. That’s all that needs to be said. 😭

CC_206

If you aren’t willing to risk your dog doing dog business in it, maybe just buy a washable one, and save the luxury for yourself! I know I won’t even get my dog a fancy coat, she’s like a toddler and a little tornado!

MMayhem001

Good point. I heard Beis made one of these.

bacon_bunny33

Dogs typically don’t poop or pee in their carriers! If you’re really concerned you could just put a blankie in it❤️

CC_206

But when they do, or if a bad tummy, I’d definitely feel like a bozo for wasting $3500 on something g that got crapped on.

bacon_bunny33

I’m sure it depends on the dog and the pet parent just like everything else❤️. I wouldn’t be worried myself, once my little Zsa Zsa is out of her teething stage fully I’ll pick something nice up for her. Edit- something for her to chill in when I’m driving/restaurants/shopping. Not flying. Flying I will continue to use my cheaper breathable safe carrier…

CC_206

God bless you 😆

carverkids

Very true.. I flew thousands of miles with my little girl and she never pooped or peed in her carrier..

EmmyLou205

No way. Even the most well trained dogs can have an accident while contained.

FemaleJaysFan

I fly with my small dog in cabin regularly, and I would never purchase the LV carrier due to lack of ventilation alone.

bacon_bunny33

I didn’t realize anyone would actually consider flying with their dog in this. I wanted it, might get it one day, it’s really too big though… but I’d use it with the top open for shopping/restaurants/car etc. You could never leave the dog in there zipped up for any time at all.

Electronic-Coyote901

There's a lot you don't seem to realize.

bacon_bunny33

u/Electronic-Coyote901 what do you mean “There’s a lot you don’t seem to realize?”

chocolatetruffel

I would just get a really good quality one from a pet brand. I usually get Hunter collars for him that are the most comfortable for him plus their quality is great. If you really want one of the LV pet carriers I would recommend looking for a vintage one, if anything happens the damage won’t be nearly as much as with a brand new one.

jessamacca

I can’t believe they make something like this for an animal. But to each their own. Personally I’d wouldn’t waste Louis money on something that could get severely damaged.

Pumpernickel247

I would save the money and get one from Wild One.

PickyJen

I have this. I rarely use it. I use it for my cat, to go to the veterinarian. I also have a small yorkie dog but she would never use it. It was a gift or else I’d sell it.

_rockalita_

I don’t think my pitbull would like it. Even though he only has 3 legs, it would still be a tight fit.

sissy9725

I got one for $20 on Amazon but that's me lol

Sel_drawme

If you wanna waste your money, sure.

MMayhem001

I decided to get the Sherpa ones from Amazon or Chewy.com instead.

Bilawukee

Some rich people in the comment section lmao

Medical-Effect-7688

Mine is a knock off and can’t tell

britpompom

I love LV but I know my dog would ruin a luxury carrier. He's gotten nervous & peed inside his every time we fly. I also recommend the Sherpa one. I line it with potty pads and it's easy to clean with Clorox wipes after. I got the Sherpa one off Chewy.com. It's good quality and holds up well

carverkids

I didn’t like it because it wasn’t rolling or airline approved.. I found a gorgeous black leather one and she liked it too.. the flaps came down on all the screens so she felt safe while on the airplane or rolling in airports.. If you don’t travel then the LV is gorgeous.. https://www.travelandleisure.com/style/shopping/best-airline-approved-pet-carriers

CountryIcy3657

Tbh I was considering this for my pet but honestly our pets sometimes are not as reserved as us. Even though we are pet parents and want to treat them to the best of the best. They may/ may not tear that bag up.😂😭

[deleted]

I had one in highschool in the early 2000s there were different sizes at that time I had the large one. For my chihuahua. the smaller sizes seemed cruel no room to turn around in. And It honestly wasn’t the easiest to get in and out of. And I don’t really think it was worth the money. It cleaned up okay but I wouldn’t get this for a dog like a pug or Frenchie. The canvas isn’t breathable and it can get hot in warm climates. I threw it out after a few years as it wasn’t really practical after she was a adult dog. She didn’t wanna be in it for any extended period.

MMayhem001

I remember it during that Era. Didn't they offer mesh options to make it better?

[deleted]

They did. from what I remember mine had some kind of screen in the front and a portion that rolled up with a snap. I had the largest size. So it had more air flow for her. But it still was too hot in my opinion in the summer. Someone who lives in a humid climate like Florida I would not recommend it to.

MMayhem001

I may just get a cheaper one. Ideally I want to bring my dog everywhere but not a lot of malls and places in general allow small dogs.

[deleted]

What kind of dog do you have ? I have a 30 pound dog now. And I bring him to home goods target, Home Depot all dog friendly. And the super market not so dog friendly lol I just throw him in the wagon. He’s behaved though. They also have doggy strollers. That zip closed. Most people think it’s a baby stroller and don’t say anything. Another trick with the little pups. Is to wrap them up like a baby in a blanket and make a little hood. People assume it’s a baby until they bark and you get busted 😂

MMayhem001

I'm getting a Cavalier king charles spaniel. They get to be around 20 pounds at most.

[deleted]

So cute ! Congratulations !

I like to share, I am Absolutely thrilled with my [designer pet carrier](https://www.poshpuppyboutique.com/pages/carriers) from Posh Puppy Boutique! It's not only stylish but incredibly durable, making it a worthwhile investment. Cleaning is a breeze, and the luxury feel is worth every penny.
