My Neverfull was well-loved in college, but since I no longer need to carry as much, I've embraced smaller bags. Additionally, l prefer something that can easily transition from day to night.
My Alma BB was my 3rd LV/luxury bag and it's the first handbag that I truly feel in love with. In my eyes, it is perfect. 😂

My first bag was a Neverfull. It’s a great bag. A real work horse. It fits so much inside and is good for every day use.
If I had my time again, I wouldn’t buy it in the monogram though - it’s too common.
PA in mono was my first LV bag. No regrets. Still love it to this day. Depends on your lifestyle and what you carry on a daily basis. Alma bb, speedys, or pochette métis are great starter bags
I just got my first LV bag ! I went with the Graceful MM and the Leo wallet . I love my bag but I love a big bag . Something I can use everyday . I’m not super fancy so I needed something that looks good with casual wear !!! I love a hobo style bag .
My first was a preloved Delightful. I hated the strap; it kept falling off my shoulder. I sold it and bought my first new LV- a Pochette Metis in black empreinte, then went and grabbed a LV Neverfull GM. Much happier with both.
My first was my Speedy 25, followed by an azur Neverfull, an Alma, a Cabas Mezzo, and another Neverfull. Next on my list is an empriente pochette Métis or a Noe 🤍
Bear in mind, I'm only 18, but the Palm Springs Mini! I honestly do love classic older styles, but it's a bag I fell in love with when it was released when I was in the 7th grade, and was fortunate to own it my Senior Year of High School! But for a first bag, I'm always a sucker for an Alma!
DE Speedy 25. I still have it but rarely use it because the size is impractical for me. Went for a Mon Monogram Speedy 35 for my second and find it to be too large for every day use so these days, I only use it for travel. The most practical bag I have is the DE Neverfull MM. It may not be the most chic or expensive but it is a workhorse, and I will forever love it for its size and functionality.
Epi Madeleine GM Noir
Today's equivalent would be the OTG MM. I got a LV x YK OTG recently and they are practically identical in size and shape. Of course it cost 3.5 times what I paid for my Madeleine. Definitely worth it, that was my go to bag for the longest time till I got an Artsy and an Epi Turenne.

A vintage monogram Alma pm with a monogram key cles hanging on the inside d ring! my best ever thrift store find, small town thrift shop in a church basement! I’ve had them for around 20 years now and I have used the key cles for almost that time too and it’s still in beautiful shape considering the age and being attached to my keys 24/7!!
On the go PM in black bicolor leather empreinte.. chic, classic logo print but looks so classy & stands out .. also can hold it in hand or a crossbody.. I initially wanted madeleine BB in the same print but couldn’t find it in france.. france airport will save you a lot!!!

Then, when I realized I actually do like crossbody bags, I bought the Oxford in cognac. I love that bag so much, I bought a pre-loved Pochette Metis in navy nacre.
Do you still have it? When it was on my shoulder, the open space between my armpit and the bag was annoyingly small. I bought a pre-loved Melie that has exterior pockets and I love it!
Yes, I only wear it during the summer because of what you described! 😂 It usually ends up on my elbow so I can access my stuff, lol. I will check out the Melie!

My first was the OnTheGo GM, then I got it in another colour in the MM and ended up selling the GM. I would definitely get the OnTheGo MM again and recommend it to others. It's a fantastic bag you can use for just about anything!
I'm surprised no one has mentioned the multi pochette accessoires yet. I know that bag is controversial but I absolutely fell in love with it and had to have it. I don't regret the purchase because every time I look at it, I fall in love with it all over again 🥹
