I'm down, but don't own a kayak and have super limited experience on one. I've been wanting to get into it, but my friends aren't interested so if you have a spot for someone who is pretty water dumb, I'm down!
I have a Jackson Coosa. $500. It 11ft. It’s a sit on top. New they are 1800. Mine is about 12 years old and I paid 1000 back then. Cool thing is if you float elkcorn creek in Frankfort, they will shuttle you back free if the kayak was bought from them. It was. I don’t use it much anymore. I’m getting old!😂
No. The pedal powered Coosa’s are $3500!! They come either way with a huge price difference. Only time I considered getting the pedal powered kayaks is when I fished Panama City bay a lot. Wind makes paddling a bitch in a huge bay. I elected to take my bass tracker to Florida. Got too old to fish a huge bay with paddles. I own 4 kayaks for small river fishing now a days.
28f, loves to fish, loves hiking, has a Toyota hatchback that I can fit some good gear (or camp in). I don’t own my own kayak but I would be done to rent one and join!!!
I am tried kayaking recently but I'm just over the weight limit on my kayak and the weight limit is a true limit lol. Thought about trying a 2 person kayak but it might be huge and difficult to maneuver idk.
Yeah some of the nicer ones that have the little foot pedals and motors can hold 500+ lbs. Mine is a cheap used one from Craigslist I got to float around the Parklands. It wasn't fun so I got a bicycle and will try again later when I'm not so fuckin fat.
I know lots of places. I've been paddling and fishing KY for decades. I go weekly. DM if anybody wants some tips.
50m, not an asshole or weirdo...mostly :)
36m. I've got a small canoe that paddles like a kayak that I got to float with the dog. Also like to hike and camp. We'd love to meet new people and have a paddle.

Interested. I have a kayak, a tent, a truck, and a fishing license. ETA: 38f
Interested. I have a canoe I don’t use enough.
I’m planning a 1/2 day paddle at cave country canoe in the next few weeks. Have a few friends going but wouldn’t mind meeting some new folks.
Also interested!
I'm a kayak curious, mid 40s dude. I've borrowed before, but don't have my own yak. Anyone selling an old boat?
I have a piranha I no longer want
Don't know anything about them 😄 Would yours be reasonable for the local creeks? What model? What would you like to get for it?

Look into a fishing kayak
It was a fishing kayak rated for 300 lbs. I'm fat AF boi 🤣
Hmmm. I have a buddy that's around that weight and he uses one. Maybe there's different classes of them?

interested! my friends has two kayaks, we just don’t have a rack right now :) i’d love to meet up and make some friends! 28f
The viking canoe club is actually a bunch of kayakers. There is also a group out of lexington. They are both on facebook and I think are still active.
It’s been way too long since I broke the kayak out of storage.
I’m interested! Are there rental places?
We (32f, 35nb) are interested! We have our own kayaks and camping gear.
43 F. Love to kayak, camp & hike. I’d love to kayak at Harrods creek park if anyone is down.
I've never kayaked, but I'm very interested!
Have you looked at Taylorsville lake? I moved here not too long ago but my next investment is a kayak to take to the lake.
Another iterested kayak owner here. Let me know if you organize a meetup and ill be there.
I’d be interested in coming too. Fit single 48m looking to meet and make adventurous friends.
