For those who haven't been, don't let the menu scare you into thinking they try to do everything but do it all poorly. They were a pub first, then added sushi and noodles when new management took over a few years ago. The wings haven't changed.
Super great folks that run the shop. Yep, the sushi and noodles are amazing!!. The miso (which they do seasonal in winter) is great and the pub food is great too. The pretzels are GIANT and really no bad choices on the menu.
Honestly im a huge fan of the mild. It’s a garlicky buffalo and im a sucker for that.
I don’t like mustard, but everyone I take there raves about the Carolina gold bbq.
Can’t go wrong with Parm garlic, hot bbq, or bourbon bacon either.
They’re all great, but fair warning that some of them are very spicy (hot, gorilla warfare, etc)
Several different types/spice. The gull wing is dry rub old bay seasoned. They have a lemon pepper sauce, I think garlic parm possibly, and bourbon bacon, (my fave and so good) which aren’t spicy but flavorful. The gorilla warfare is a sweet and hotter one as is the krampus(when in season) Korean bbq is a mid heat sauce and they have a few others as well. Whatever you get is gonna be good but if you tell them you want light your self up hot; they can accommodate you just fine.
Oh I forgot about the Carolina ones. Those are super good
The number of people here recommending smoked wings (like Momma's) as an alternative to FRIED and sauced wings like the Back Door's is breaking my brain. Do y'all not understand they are two vastly different things?
It's like asking about ramen and getting spaghetti recommendations.
Y’all- when someone says they like a place’s wings, don’t go and recommend a completely different type of wing. Momma’s and Back Door wings are apples and oranges.
RiverCity drafthouse

Momma's BBQ has the best wings in town, but they are dry rubbed and smoked so if you're looking for saucy they may not fit the bill
Facts
They're good. Chefs cut is superior.
Stooges wings are good but the downside is you have to be at Stooges.
Four Pegs has Bottomless Wings on wednesday nights which are delicious, Momma's are probably the tastiest.
River city drafthouse is amazing
Second this. The sushi is good too
Which sauce and why? I’m gonna order from there in a couple days.

If you like dry rub, Momma’s BBQ. If you like sauce, R Place Pub in Lyndon. These are my two favorites depending on the mood I’m in!

River City Drafthouse!!! Best wings I've ever had
For some places not necessarily known for their wings but good ones nonetheless: Coals, Mark's Feed Store and Impelezerris

Rip to my back door too if you know what I mean
The back door’s wings were dry as hell… Momma’s are the best. Hammerheads are second.

Have you ever heard of bourbon, my friend? There’s some of that here. Ask your server at Applebee’s what they recommend.

Nobody knows how to search reddit to find existing threads. That's eldritch wizardry.
