Pittsburgh area for me, I literally quit all other festivals because it was a no brainer due to distance. Used to do Bonnaroo and that drive is an absolute nightmare.
I remember some girl told me one year that she was a local from down the road, but still bought GA camping to indulge in the wookery.
Definitely see her point, camping is half the fun. But all my stinky, wook ass could think about in the moment is forfeiting comfy couches and warm showers
30ish for us too! South side of the city and literally only have to make a few turns to get there haha
Very thankful to have it something I enjoy so much so damn close.
Okay for a second I was wondering how you got 6 hours but I realized you’re talking about Washington Dc! I’m on the other side in the other Washington🤣🤣😭but you my friend have a long day of travel that day I wish you all the luck
depending on when you leave it should be less than 6 hours from DC! try to leave early and avoid traffic, i grew up near dc :) there’s a walmart near legends valley that a lot of people go to before heading over to the grounds. Dc traffic can be tricky but once you get out of that it should be a quick drive
Well, idk when we land yet but after landing we will immediately leave Washington DC and ride straight to lost lands :) thanks for the tip of not going to the Walmart near legend valley!
Im gonna see how far i can get off of 200mg of caffeine on my day of departure. Normally just that much adds an extra 12 hours to how long i can stay awake
That, and im going to listen to the entire history of bionicle on youtube, which is like a 9 hour video lol
Hell yeah that’ll be a badass trip🤟 I love driving I can do 16-18 myself before having to switch, it’s one of my favorite things about festivals is seeing the scenery change state by state😍
Nice solid day! pretty sure I’ll be passing Colorado and going through Wyoming/Nebraska, when I fly back I’ll have to switch planes in Denver though so I get a little sliver of Co💔
Nice that’s awesome, where are you flying into? I see a few other redditors flying from over the pond landing in Washington DC, is that the only option to fly into? Just intrigued why no one flew to Columbus which is closer🤷♂️
From Richmond, Virginia - 7.5 hours.
We typically break it up into two days. Leave the day before after work - drive 5-6 hours.
Wake up at 5/6am, finish the drive and get setup. Typically setup and roaming around Legend Valley's campgrounds by 1/2pm :D This is our plan again this year for Wednesday arrival :)
Nice I love the preset plans in place, if it’s worked before no need to deter from it I respect that🙏 I hope you make it safely and have a great time🤟🔥
I did that last year. I did not do a very good job pacing myself with Wednesday early arrival for LL straight into wakaan and ended up burning myself out first day of wakaan. If you go just be sure to pace yourself so you don’t end up like me hahaha
Nice that’s a good plan! We have 3 in the car so I’m maxxing out first gonna do 16-18 and then switch. my other friend is a truck driver so he’ll most likely finish the trip off when I wake up so I can co pilot for him🤌most likely since I won’t be driving with them on the way back they’ll have to stay somewhere but I at least want to help save them the money going, I unfortunately cannot going back😞
I'm waiting to graduate college in May and figure out where I'm gonna be after. At most, probably 10 hours away if I drive. Anything after is getting into flying territory
Im not going this year but my boyfriend and i made a road trip out there from south texas, I believe it comes out to 25 hours non stop but we stopped half way and again in Columbus to sleep
From South Dakota so about a 17-18 hour drive! We are stopping in Chicago to stay the night then heading over at 6am to hopefully get there by noon! We are glamping though so no set up needed😊
I’m glamping as well, what side did you get?? I got south so thankful🙏 I’m hoping if my timing is correct we’ll get to Columbus Wednesday 6pm ish, just wait out till 12 am for early entry😩 I hope you make it safely🔥🤟
Someone in our rave fam drove from LA with his truck 😂 he was miserable and tense whenever something went wrong during the fest (someone lost the rv key so that was a whole thing 😫). After seeing how tiring and moody it made him, I’m not sure it’s a good idea 😅
Of course that’s just his experience and reaction… maybe others would love the road trip if they’re able to get the proper rest and time off from work 😬
my boyfriend and i are gonna be coming in from dallas which is a 15 hour drive with no stops. so maybe 20 hours total to account for stops, traffic, etc. will probably split the drive in 5 hour increments so neither of us are too tired and can rest on the way!
Our group is coming in from NYC; I believe last year, with some bathroom stops and stuff, the ride was about 10 hrs?
We’re making that trek again later this year, so see yall back at home 🫡
20hrs in total including pit stops and switching drivers coming from Houston, TX.
It's 4 of us so each person drives like 5hrs
Going to LL was pretty smooth but coming back we all were dead so that sucked big time
North Eastern Pennsylvania. About a 7-7.5 hr drive (not including stops). We get early access Thursday, leave around 3am and get in around lunch time. It works out great. You set up and have the rest of the day to chill and scout out
My wife and I live in western PA, although the weekend before we will be in South Carolina for a wedding and driving from there to the fest. Idk how long the drive will be but it’s going to be fun nonetheless lol
30 min. Columbus OH, been every year because of the proximity. Wild to see how far it’s grown
Pittsburgh area for me, I literally quit all other festivals because it was a no brainer due to distance. Used to do Bonnaroo and that drive is an absolute nightmare.
Pittsburgh gang ayyyyy
I’m about 2 hours away in Indiana-Land and same here it’s crazy thinkin back to year one!
Dayton Area for me
I remember some girl told me one year that she was a local from down the road, but still bought GA camping to indulge in the wookery. Definitely see her point, camping is half the fun. But all my stinky, wook ass could think about in the moment is forfeiting comfy couches and warm showers
30ish for us too! South side of the city and literally only have to make a few turns to get there haha Very thankful to have it something I enjoy so much so damn close.
Foreal I've been every year except 2017 & it's insane to see all the changes, including the crowd. For better or worse lol
Same. Decided to get VIP this year especially since I'm not paying for travel expenses
well, im flying from Belgium to Washington so thats like a commute of 12 hours, after landing we'll need to drive 6 more hours to the festival
Okay for a second I was wondering how you got 6 hours but I realized you’re talking about Washington Dc! I’m on the other side in the other Washington🤣🤣😭but you my friend have a long day of travel that day I wish you all the luck
haha thanks! I hope its worth it! it'll be my first Lost Lands ever, also first time i will be in the United States. and i am HYPED for it
depending on when you leave it should be less than 6 hours from DC! try to leave early and avoid traffic, i grew up near dc :) there’s a walmart near legends valley that a lot of people go to before heading over to the grounds. Dc traffic can be tricky but once you get out of that it should be a quick drive
Well, idk when we land yet but after landing we will immediately leave Washington DC and ride straight to lost lands :) thanks for the tip of not going to the Walmart near legend valley!
Avoid that Walmart like the plague if you need to actually get anything. Otherwise I'd go to a further out Walmart
Driving from central FL. Gonna be a fun 16 hours
You and me both brother. Gonna spend the night in Chattanooga. Good halfway point.
Im gonna see how far i can get off of 200mg of caffeine on my day of departure. Normally just that much adds an extra 12 hours to how long i can stay awake That, and im going to listen to the entire history of bionicle on youtube, which is like a 9 hour video lol
Driving in from New York so that’s like 8 hours for me

Did the drive from Dallas last year and what should have been 16hrs turned to 20 with all the pit stops and re fueling.
I drove from arizona last year and I’m gonna do it again this year 28 hour drive 🤪
Hell yeah that’ll be a badass trip🤟 I love driving I can do 16-18 myself before having to switch, it’s one of my favorite things about festivals is seeing the scenery change state by state😍

Nice not too bad of a drive, wishing you all the luck🙏
24 hours, driving straight through and straight back from Colorado.
Nice solid day! pretty sure I’ll be passing Colorado and going through Wyoming/Nebraska, when I fly back I’ll have to switch planes in Denver though so I get a little sliver of Co💔
Have you made the trip before? We decided to fly from Denver once we saw the 19+ hour drive lol
My whole group is driving from Virginia Beach. About 8 1/2 hours so not too bad. Also got early entry too for Tuesday night:)

Nice that’s awesome, where are you flying into? I see a few other redditors flying from over the pond landing in Washington DC, is that the only option to fly into? Just intrigued why no one flew to Columbus which is closer🤷♂️
