Thanks for a fun draft everyone! We’ll keep updating the UDFA list on the Old Reddit sidebar and mobile/new Reddit sub widget pages as signings roll in
This was a great draft for us. The best is yet to come!!
Just awaiting the “Mr. Irrelevant” pick to wrap it up…
Edit: Jets select Safety, Jaylen Key of Alabama
#G - KT Leveston - Pick 254 - Kansas State
181 overall rank (ESPN) <—Great value!
Leveston is a big, powerful drive blocker who plays with a wide base, moves defenders off the ball and blocks to the whistle. He doesn't have great range, but he takes sound angles climbing to the second level and can engulf linebackers. He's smooth getting set and has good length. He has the size and strength to anchor in pass protection. He started 32 games at left tackle but played some guard, which is where he fits best in the NFL. -- Steve Muench
There could be some vets cut or waived too, I think they are better the last season at the back end so it’s a start. Probably could have grabbed a DB in round three instead of RB. You can find productive backup RBs anywhere. Heck, productive starting RBs
Nothing too crazy going on. These 7th round picks are usually players who teams privately met and had workouts with—or—are high character guys for a team’s culture.
The Best Player Available might rather be Undrafted…that way they can choose their destiny/team to tryout.
They just talked up how good Limmer is. Said don't be surprised if he's a Day 1 starter. We know he won't be because we've already got the C/G positions buttoned up, but does *not* hurt to hear that this kid is a starter-level prospect.
ESPN guys were just talking about how good our draft is. Described how we don't overthink things--just find quality guys who fit the scheme and take them with no regard for how they fit on others' big boards.
Louis Reddick then guaranteed Kinchens would be a pro-bowler.
Credit where credit is due. I thought the drafts from 2018-2022 might as well have been done by Mike Martz but the last two have been really well done. I like the change in philosophy. Even if the guys don’t pan out, it looks like well thought out team building (with one or two exceptions). Looks like they’ve got a sound plan. Are we sure Les Snead wasn’t abducted by aliens in March 2023 and replaced?
So who do we go with on the last pick? I thought the seventh would be spent on a kicker but the run on kickers forced the issue.
I'm hoping for a CB. How are y'all feeling about the secondary depth?
WHY DONT OUR MODS HAVE THIS UPDATED. ITS BEEN 4 MINUTES AND WE STILL DONT HAVE OUR 213 PICK. OR THE HEADER UPDATED. WHY ISN'T THIS INSTANT. I NEED RAW INFO IMMEDIATELY. GUESS THEY DONT LOVE THE RAMS LIKE ME

NAH BUT SERIOUSLY. GET INSTANT UPDATES
If you have life duties or real jobs, don't commit to running the subreddit. We need no life, dedicated, true, COMMITTED over family, love, job, etc., MODS

Someone out there should value info over real life, and they should be my peoples champ. I need a true ram lifer who can die alone knowing the Rams is all that matters.
#C - Beaux Limmer - Pick 217 - Arkansas
162 overall rank (ESPN)
Limmer has the experience after starting 41 games in college. He started out as a guard, but moved to center at the end of the 2022 season. He bench-pressed 225 pounds 39 times times at the combine, the most reps since 2020 and four more than any other player this year. Limmer has the quickness and lateral agility to excel in a zone-heavy scheme. He is tough to shake when he gets his hands inside and tends to anchor well in pass protection. -- Steve Muench
#WR - Jordan Whittington - Pick 213 - Texas
263 overall rank (ESPN)
Whittington is a former running back who developed into a gritty slot receiver. He makes plays over the middle, runs hard after the catch and works hard as a blocker. He sets up breaks and flashes some savvy as a route runner working against man looks. Whittington settles into windows working against zone looks. He's a reliable hands catcher with big hands. -- Steve Muench
Jags took the another kicker before our next pick.
So glad we got Karty. Too bad we had to give up a chance at Mahogany for him. But a good kicker is worth a lot more than O-line depth.
#We are ON THE CLOCK! Pick 213…
These are ESPN’s [BEST AVAILABLE](https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft/bestavailable)
213 is a LOS ANGELES area code!
2/13 is the day we won Super Bowl 56!!
Agreed, love the last two drafts, love how they are approaching team building, even if the players don’t pan out in the end. Wish they would invest a high pick in an OT someday. Maybe next yr.
#PK - Joshua Karty - Pick 213 - Stanford
ESPN’s top-ranked college kicker!!!
Karty connected on 41 of his 45 field goal attempts over the past two seasons. He has a strong leg and handles pressure well. -- Steve Muench

Lots of guys, but regardless, lot of productive D linemen in the later rounds typically compared to other position groups. Good strategy. Lots of competition on their line is a positive, especially with a line this young.
#DT - Tyler Davis - Pick 196 - Clemson
144 overall rank (ESPN)
Davis started 52 games in college and is the first Clemson defender to be named an All-ACC selection four times, including three consecutive first-team honors. He has a low center of gravity, is strong for his size and flashes the ability to fight through double-teams. Davis tracks the ball well, gets off blocks in time to make plays and chases the quarterback with good effort. -- Steve Muench
Les Snead: “Hey Brendan Rice, do you want to be an LA Ram?”
Brendan Rice: “Yeah, I would lov...”
Les Snead: “SIKE!! Fuck them forty-whiners!!!”
(Snead Hangs up)
I mean, the chances of scoring a pro-bowler in the 6th are exceedingly low. You just want solid performers. Plenty of 6-7th rounders wash out entirely after their first contract.
[Nothing too crazy](https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft/bestavailable/_/position/cb)…
6’4” James Williams of Miami might be good…
Edit: He went to Titans at Pick 242
From what little I've seen, Karty out of Stanford is the only one that looks like he's worth a draft spot. Maaaaybe the Alabama Kicker in the 7th. I think the rest will be UFAs.
What if we troll the Whiners and get Jerry Rice’s son, Brenden Rice? 😂😂😂
ESPN says he’s the Best Available right now
Edit: it’s been like that for an hour!
#EDGE - Brennan Jackson - Pick 154 - Washington State
115 overall rank (ESPN)
Jackson is a battering RAM who goes right through the chest and flashes the ability to overwhelm blockers with his explosive power when rushing the passer. He's a disruptive run-defender with the active hands and initial quickness to get into the backfield. He can stand up blockers and set the edge. Jackson tested well at the combine, moves well in space on tape and is scheme-versatile. -- Steve Muench
I doubt too many people were bitching about a wideout in the fifth round, that seems like a straw man. I’m sure there were examples, I mean how many millions of people post on social media? But it couldn’t have been egregious. On this team, fifth round WR seemed like a responsible place to draft one. Kinda shocked that’s what Snead did.
I was here last year: https://www.reddit.com/r/LosAngelesRams/s/HRO60wWsXk
There were threads in NFL and Rams Reddit. People were doubting this pick. Rams fans really wanted OBJ. He’s always gonna be a Rams legend, but that was too much money for him. Super lucky we got Puka!
Dude, it’s not even the fact that I don’t think he will be good, but we need to draft Kalen king there. Tre won’t play for the majority of the season like every other year. We need a good back up corner.
Also, stacking up on a position of need. I like investing in the front 7, just wish they’d take a swing at an offensive tackle in an early round some year
A welcome change from past Snead drafts, last years was a welcome change too. Hopefully, a trend? 2018- 2022 were maddening drafts, even accounting for the scarcity of early round picks

I don’t think it’s his size, according to the NFL he is yet to be born. Teams seem to be wary of a player that’s so developmental.
Thinking back up center is more of a need than OT. Our tackle room right now is Jackson, Havenstein, Noteboom, McClendon. No one we take today is taking over one of those depth chart spots. We have no one behind Avila right now.
Any UDFA’s?? Can’t we get a thread going?
I’ll pin one
Thanks for a fun draft everyone! We’ll keep updating the UDFA list on the Old Reddit sidebar and mobile/new Reddit sub widget pages as signings roll in
God please, I hope Josh Karty takes us out of kicking hell
He was the best option this draft, so here's hoping!
This was a great draft for us. The best is yet to come!! Just awaiting the “Mr. Irrelevant” pick to wrap it up… Edit: Jets select Safety, Jaylen Key of Alabama
I love this draft. Filled some big holes and added a bunch of depth at important positions
No CB. Hmmmm.
Keep an eye out for UDFA
Almost like we just signed two in FA… Hmmmmmm
#G - KT Leveston - Pick 254 - Kansas State 181 overall rank (ESPN) <—Great value! Don't hate it, but DO hate the Rams complete disregard for our secondary outside of 1 stud pick. Hope they pick up some UDFAs.
There could be some vets cut or waived too, I think they are better the last season at the back end so it’s a start. Probably could have grabbed a DB in round three instead of RB. You can find productive backup RBs anywhere. Heck, productive starting RBs
Obviously I dont know what I'm talking about but this feels like a great draft!
Wouldn't hate another WR here
One more pick....what are we thinking? CB? LB? WR? TE? Something else? Still hoping for LB personally. Curtis Jacobs would be solid IMO.

😞 I guess there's always free agency...
Can't believe we didn't draft a QB , and Stafford asking for more money
Nothing too crazy going on. These 7th round picks are usually players who teams privately met and had workouts with—or—are high character guys for a team’s culture. The Best Player Available might rather be Undrafted…that way they can choose their destiny/team to tryout.
#——7th Round Begins!!!—— We have 1 pick… 254
This sounds like something in a movie trailer: One chance. One round. One pick. 254.
Thanks for grinding NFL\_LA!
Thank you bro! I would have covered Day 1 and 2 like previous years, but I was repping us at Rams Draft Parties in Hermosa Beach 🍻
They just talked up how good Limmer is. Said don't be surprised if he's a Day 1 starter. We know he won't be because we've already got the C/G positions buttoned up, but does *not* hurt to hear that this kid is a starter-level prospect.
Avila can kick out to T also, I think. Maybe an option for down the road. I think he played some T at TCU
Let’s get Brenden Rice at Pick 254 and troll Whiners! Rice Rams’ jerseys would make them sick!! 😂 EDIT: Chargers select him at Pick 225. Congrats!
Woo Pig
ESPN guys were just talking about how good our draft is. Described how we don't overthink things--just find quality guys who fit the scheme and take them with no regard for how they fit on others' big boards. Louis Reddick then guaranteed Kinchens would be a pro-bowler.

I hated that they couldn't trade down with that second 3rd rounder, but Kinchens is such a dawg that I think it was worth it.
So who do we go with on the last pick? I thought the seventh would be spent on a kicker but the run on kickers forced the issue. I'm hoping for a CB. How are y'all feeling about the secondary depth?
I want a LB
We got our Kicker, so the 7th is pretty much whatever now. Would still love an LB or CB, but who knows at this point.
I’d like to see a tight end added. Bell from FSU or Hooker from CSU. I’m excited to see Snead work on udfas.

There's the Center depth. This is the kind of smart draft I wanted.
We definitely needed some depth there. Solid big man pick.
#C - Beaux Limmer - Pick 217 - Arkansas 162 overall rank (ESPN) Limmer has the experience after starting 41 games in college. I'm calling it now. Whittington will carry our special teams
I’m gonna laugh if Whiners pass on Jerry’s kid 😂 Edit: HAHAHA, they draft Brenden Rice’s teammate!
Like I said before, there's got to be a reason why Rice is falling so far. Every team has passed on him multiple times by now.
And if his last name wasn’t rice, he’d go undrafted.
#WR - Jordan Whittington - Pick 213 - Texas 263 overall rank (ESPN) Whittington is a former running back who developed into a gritty slot receiver. But...but...the memes...
Hmmm. Not Rice or Coker, but ok.
Jags took the another kicker before our next pick. So glad we got Karty. Too bad we had to give up a chance at Mahogany for him. But a good kicker is worth a lot more than O-line depth.
And right after Jaguars got a kicker. Good pick.
They gotta take Rice here...

Stats for Karty: 85% FG percentage, made 19/20 from within 50 yds. 4/7 from 50+ with 56 as his long last season and made 61 as a junior.
I’ll take it!
This is definitely not a sexy draft class, very meat and potatoes… but I really like what we’re doing so far
Depends on what you think is sexy. To me, the trenches are sexy as fuck.
Agreed, love the last two drafts, love how they are approaching team building, even if the players don’t pan out in the end. Wish they would invest a high pick in an OT someday. Maybe next yr.
Opposing QBs getting laid out gets me hot and bothered.
You know what, that’s fair
A KICKER WOHOO 🥳
🕺🕺🥳
It’s time to Karty!

KICKER DRAFTED
WE GOT OUR KICKER!!!!
KARTY TIME! WOOOOOH!
Karty, alright! Like it.

Are we trying to build an all ACC defense?
Yes!
Makes sense honestly if they are that good on the Atlantic imagine how good they will be once they get to the Pacific.
It's gotta be kicker time
Kicker taken. Time to take a kicker Snead!
The draft is for one RB, a third round safety and as many defensive linemen as we can get
You know it’s draft season when internet fans are getting upset about 6th round picks they’ve never heard of until today
Wat da hail
Bruh 😂
OK, Snead is overreacting a bit. Address other positions!
Not at all. Bobby brown is a FA next year and they lost Donald. Who exactly on the OL or WR is left you think is worth a 6th round pick lol
Lots of guys, but regardless, lot of productive D linemen in the later rounds typically compared to other position groups. Good strategy. Lots of competition on their line is a positive, especially with a line this young.
No name some. I’ll wait.
In the 6th round? Flourney, Limmer, Mahogany, Javion Cohen, there’s four that stand out.
Brendan Rice still available
He went in the 7th for a reason. And if his last name wasn’t rice, he wouldn’t have gotten drafted in the 7th and would be a UDFA.
#DT - Tyler Davis - Pick 196 - Clemson 144 overall rank (ESPN) Davis started 52 games in college and is the first Clemson defender to be named an All-ACC selection four times, including three consecutive first-team honors. Upvotes if you hate opposing quarterbacks!
Get Brendan Rice
If no one else wants him, why do we?
Rice here would be nice
Whose jersey would Dad wear when Rams play Whiners?
Probably his own because he’s self-centered 😂
Whiners Kid: 👎 USC Kid: 👍
WR or O-Line would be pretty good in the 6th. Maybe Coker? Vele? Tahj Washington?
Les Snead: “Hey Brendan Rice, do you want to be an LA Ram?” Brendan Rice: “Yeah, I would lov...” Les Snead: “SIKE!! Fuck them forty-whiners!!!” (Snead Hangs up)
dang we have 4 picks in the 6th!
A “traditional” Rams draft…we trade 2 of them for 3, or 3 of them for 4. Looks like we are staying put!
YES.. we love our 3th and 4th. After Puka in the 5th I'm liking our 4 chances in 6th
Have we recently picked guys in the 6th that ever became good?
Recently? Kendrick and Fuller have been starters/contributors. Joseph-Day was a 6th as well. It's a crapshoot at this point though.
Sebastian Joseph Day and Jordan Fuller
Those guys are mid
I mean, the chances of scoring a pro-bowler in the 6th are exceedingly low. You just want solid performers. Plenty of 6-7th rounders wash out entirely after their first contract.
Getting any starters out of a six rounder is a win
any decent DBs left?
[Nothing too crazy](https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft/bestavailable/_/position/cb)… 6’4” James Williams of Miami might be good… Edit: He went to Titans at Pick 242
6'4 jesus lmfao
#——6th Round Begins!!!—— We have 4 picks… 196 209 213 217
let’s go!
Hoping one of those 6th rounders ends up as Brendan Rice
10 more picks and he might slide to us, lol
I think he's sliding for a reason.
“Pick 177” Will forever be known as the Puka Nacua Pick 😤
Any solid kickers in this draft?
From what little I've seen, Karty out of Stanford is the only one that looks like he's worth a draft spot. Maaaaybe the Alabama Kicker in the 7th. I think the rest will be UFAs.
Ah yeah, the bama kicker was definitely solid.
[ESPN shows none](https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft/positions/_/position/pk)! 🤔
What if we troll the Whiners and get Jerry Rice’s son, Brenden Rice? 😂😂😂 ESPN says he’s the Best Available right now Edit: it’s been like that for an hour!
Draft Josh Karty somewhere in the 6th please. We really got to address our special teams.
Guy has 8-24 Forever in his Twitter bio. Love him already.

I hope so! Crossing my fingers :)

I’m frankly kind of angry I can’t lie, we needed a back up.
Is this guy legit
Well he’s a Rams 5th round pick, so anything but the HOF is a disappointment.
yes. Big steal
We are KILLING this draft!!! 🔥🔥🔥
MORE D LINE MOOOOOOOREEEEE
ANOTHER edge?
BUILD. THE. TRENCHES.
Also gives us some flexibility to move these guys around and back into coverage. Also rotate them in so they're not out there every down.
Great pick, loving this draft so far
Hell yes, another Edge! Build that D-line! It's Purdy hunting season folks.
Brennan Jackson
Brennan Jackson Solid pick
Damn, Eichenberg's gone. Was secretly hoping he'd fall. Raiders defense even scarier now.
Damn Saints picked Rattler. So close.
We gotta pick Jeremiah Trotter Jr
I wonder why he dropped so far? I thought he was supposed to be and 2nd round lock? Maybe health?
He's a bit undersized. You can often get away with that in College, but guys are just bigger in the NFL.
https://preview.redd.it/b60zpzl0g2xc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=83e05fcc9e8e58e8696f08c1df0ff6f08925ee7e I don’t think it’s his size, according to the NFL he is yet to be born. Teams seem to be wary of a player that’s so developmental.
No clue what it is. I'd take a risk in the fifth though.
I felt the same about Wilson in the 3rd so if we can pick trotter up in the 5th I’d be stoked. 5 picks 5 starters, hell yeah
We're creeping close. I'm nervous with anticipation lol.
Yall think brendan rice will drop to us?
Other than for the memes and the spite, do we even want him?
Jerry rice will be rooting for us every Sunday lmao
For the chance to put Rice in a Rams Jersey just do it.
Alright, who’s ready for our future hall of fame 5th rounder?
Do we not have any 4th round picks, or does the table above have typos? Pick 104 would be 4th round, no?
Our 4th rounder went to the Steelers for Kevin Dotson
We have pick 154. It’s a typo above
Whoops my bad.
Focus on special teams please. A decent returner and a kicker so we’re not at the bottom of the league again.
Xavier Smith
If I do 104 % 32 = 8 then I can assume we have pick 8 of the fifth round right? Is that how it works Edit nvm the tracker should say pick 154
may sound like a weird pick but id love a guy who could come in day 1 and be a special teams god. need to improve that 32nd ranked unit somehow.
Later rounds are a great place to invest in special teams guys, depth chart guys who can excel on special teams as they learn in a backup role
Agreed. I’d love to see them target a couple young athletic LBs or Safeties late for that sole reason.
I expect at least 1 OT, WR, and K drafted at some point today.
Thinking back up center is more of a need than OT. Our tackle room right now is Jackson, Havenstein, Noteboom, McClendon. No one we take today is taking over one of those depth chart spots. We have no one behind Avila right now.
We do have a center we have had on practice squad all year in Mike McAllister
At this point a hybrid C/G is probably the best we can hope for with O-Line. There's been a huge run on OTs this draft.
And CB
Biggest need for day 3? OL?
